Great price, great cut. These guys do a bang up job. Quick and reasonably priced, good fades and trims.

Just got my cut done here, and it was great! I was looking for a place with reasonable prices-why pay $ 50 for what is, essentially, a man’s cut? Found Elie’s, and it was fantastic. Fair price at $ 14.00, and a cut just as good(if not better) than what I would get if I’d gone to a salon. Elie took the time to check the picture I brought in more than once; he really wanted to get it right. After I paid him, he paused and motioned for me to get back in the chair, because he wanted to just tweak one side. Really shows great service, because whatever he noticed, I would have walked out with no problem, but it wasn’t good enough for him! I just wish I lived here so I could get my cut at Elie’s more often. I recommend to anyone looking for a solid cut.

Pleasant, low-key, friendly, no wait on a late Friday morning. Just an overall good experience and I thought the cost was really good. $ 14.00. Prices have been raised to $ 16.00. Still a good value, I think.

I have gone to many barbershops in Mass from Sosa’s in Ludlow to Vito’s in Springfield to Louie’s at BU to Lessard’s in Oak Square. Don’t get me wrong: these guys are great. However, Elie is the best. For $ 14, you can’t get a better haircut anywhere. My hair is thick, wiry, and I have multiple cowlicks. Elie makes it look great. He is friendly, professional, extremely experienced, and makes you want to keep coming back for cuts. After a couple weeks, an Elie cut grows in beautifully, a telltale sign of a solid haircut. I wake up early on Saturdays just to get in before the place gets busy. 7a-6p six days a week? Awesome. Highly, highly recommend you try Elie’s.

I’ve only been to see Elie once but I’m sold. No BS, nice guy, quick and very precise. He’s not a barber that will give everyone a «stock look» and listens to what you want. The mark of a great barber to me is how the cut will grow out. It’s been 6 weeks and I could go longer but I’m heading back in for another cut. I love this guy and he’s on my block, what more could I ask for.

Being new to the area I tried most barber shops in West Roxbury and Roslindale. Elie’s, even while being understaffed for some time due to an unfortunate accident, is the best of them all. Elie is quick, yet detailed, and constantly gives great cuts. He’s now my go-to.

I’ve been getting my hair cut at Elie’s for about a year. Both he and the second barber(when he is there) do a great job. I completely agree with the two previous comments. I recommend Elie’s wholeheartedly.

I used to go to Sebastian’s Barbershop in Roslindale Square and Elie was a Barber there. I would wait until he was available to get a cut since he does such a good job. I was glad when he left there to open his own place on Center Street. Not only is this easier to get to and parking is accessible, but he goes pretty fast through customers so the wait time is not too long and he does a very professional job. Plus he is friendly and doesn’t need to take up too much time chatting and pausing to take a break or answer the phone like the other Barbers at Sebastian’s. Even when I moved I still make it a point to go to his shop since he knows me and accommodates me even when it is near closing time. His prices are competitive and he does a great job. I highly recommend him!

If you’re from Roslindale, you probably get your hair cut at Sebastian’s. I used to go there too, and when I did I always asked for Elie to cut my hair, because he always cut it the best. A lot of other customers requested him too, resulting in my having to wait a long time and feeling uncomfortable about declining the services of the other barbers there. Now that Elie has opened his own place in the heart of West Roxbury, I couldn’t be happier. Elie remembers my name and how I like my hair cut. He is very thorough and precise, but he’s fairly quick too. He uses a tiny little buzzer to trim my ear hair(TMI?), which I don’t remember any other barber doing. Another reason I’m comfortable with Elie is that he’s not one of those barbers who feels he has to keep me entertained with witty banter throughout the hair cut, and he doesn’t pepper me with questions about my work or try to discuss every hot media issue of the past month, or tell me stories about his wife or kids or girlfriend or drinking buddies. He’ll ask how I’m doing, how are the kids, then mostly concentrate on barbering. He’s got a nice big flat screen TV that you can actually see during your haircut(unless he’s cutting the left side of your head). There are only two chairs in the shop, and Elie is there alone most days, but I usually don’t have more than one customer in front of me. This is a very convenient location to stop on my way home to the burbs, much easier than Rosi Square. Parking is also much easier here than it was in Rosi Square, and it’s usually less of a wait too. And because there aren’t six people getting a haircuts from chatty barbers in one room at the same time, it’s a much more relaxing atmosphere. I think Elie’s been here less than a year, and he seems just a little bit busier each time I visit, I think that second barber is coming in more often(another Sebastian’s veteran, forget his name), and I’m seeing more Sebastian regulars have tracked Elie down and are coming here now. I’m proud of Elie, but I’m also worried that his success will result in me waiting longer for my haircut!
