The staff at one XI are amazing! I’ve lived in Palm Beach for three years and could not find anywhere that could give me the style I wanted until this salon. These ladies know what they are doing! Imara always does an exquisite job with my hair color and Cathi figured out the hairstyle I wanted instantly. Both of them, and the other staff as well, are super nice and I always feel welcome. I can’t imagine going anywhere else now! So if you’re looking for excellent service and real talent for hairstyling, this is the place to go.

After reading the reviews I decided to try this salon and I was not disappointed. I was treated extreamly well from the moment I made the appointment. I was not rushed even though my appt was at the end of the day they accomodated me. Griselle is a master to take my lifeless problem hair and make it look healthy and awesome. She listened to my concerns and discussed every aspect even the cost. Definitely my new salon.

Imara is wonderful. She is very detailed and thorough. I have never left without being excited about my haircut and she is very helpful if you are looking for suggestions. I recommend big time!

I absolutely love this salon! Emily does my color and I get complements everywhere I go about how perfectly the color is melted, she listened to what I was going for and took me there! I also called last minute for a blow out today, Imara made room for me in her busy book and gave me the amazing look I needed for date night! The owner puts out amazing men’s cuts as well as witty comments making this salon feel like a second home. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a new look to come to OneXI.

After months of trying to get this dispute with my bank, or at least a partial refund for my hair due to the misleading, over priced, terrible customer service nothing ever happen. I now come to realize what kind of business they run here, and they simply don’t care about taking care of their customers. I sincerely hope this place gets new staff/​owner. Other wise, good luck and to anyone reading this, consider this a warning. Do not come here.

I have never been so impressed by the talent and guest service at a salon in my life. Imara Fonteboa is beyond Amazing! She has a loyal client for life now after she transformed my dull and lifeless blonde hair. My color is absolutely perfect, and her blow outs are the best in the business! I highly recommend this salon especially Imara!

I have been Cathi’s client for four years now. Not only does she understand how my hair works, but she tells me how to style it, which makes a difference once it starts growing out. She takes her time with my cut and I love how she tells me her process. Having a great stylist is such a personal decision and I’m so glad I’ve found Cathi!

Can’t believe I’m just now writing this…
Ok, I went to get my hair done in August by Grisel. At that point the salon had 3 stars, but the negative reviews didn’t seem like a big deal compared to the positive ones.
I’m blonde and asked her, very specifically and nicely, to cover up my dark roots. My exact words «I want to see little to none of my natural hair.» She said she understood, and we got started.
Ok, so the process is done, and she blow dries my bangs and I’m completely disappointed. My hair is now 3 shades: my roots are black, the hair at the top of my head that she highlighted is a mousy brown, and my ends are blonde. My hair was literally those color splotches you find in the paint section at Home Depot.
And I’m literally like ??? How could I have been more specific
I tell her very nicely and with a smile to leave the rest of my hair wet, «it’s ok, i like to let it dry naturally,» I said. I just wanted to get out of there and wasn’t about to pay what I would already owe plus a blow dry.
In the end, I was charged for a partial highlight, a cut, and a blow out. THIS is where I actually got mad. I was charged $ 400 PLUS TIP for something on my head that I hated and looked bad. I’ve been thinking about this for months because it bothered me so much. I’m in the customer service industry and I paid money for bad service.

We all know how important a superb stylist is in creating our coiffed hair, color equal as well. Could we be that vain it supersedes finding a cardiologist or a GP? Yes, I think so… They are on the top list next to a great dentist!!! So hard to find… Of course, I do my research, and visit several salons in West Palm Beach for consultations. Many different opinions I must say. It went from the conservative look to the ostentatious! I just left my hair alone for a few months, till I could not even stand looking in the mirror anymore without anxiety! Then I found the ONE! Named perfectly, because they are the One… Grisel Medolla Hinds and I were destined to meet. She has a creative vision that is a born talent. I have been to the salon now 3 times, she just inspired me to go from long blond hair, to a Meg Ryan look, at least 12 inches chopped off, and she is doing things with scissors I do with knives, as I am a chef. I trust her, my hair looks outstanding. I am so blessed to go with instinct, I just knew this salon was the ONE!!! Hat’s off to One Xi Salon, and the women that make this place the best!!! And I’m picky.

Was very offended by the use of derogatory and racial comments made while getting my hair done. I felt it was very inappropriate! Won’t be going back.

I would give this place 1 star but one of the other stylist not coloring my hair there was super nice and attentive. My stylist did a partial highlight on my hair and I told her I wanted natural looking highlights. Placement was chunky. I told her I didn’t want brassy tones and it was gold, red and brassy. I went back and they argued with me. I’ve been coloring my hair for years. They charged $ 40 for toner that didn’t fix my hair and there’s a $ 5 off on Unilocal for checking in which they didn’t honor. I’m not a fan of this place and wouldn’t recommend it.
The owner was awesome and contacted me as
well as offer a refund. Thank you.

My girls are amazing. Every time I make an appointment they are on time and give the best of them. Thank you Kathy for having such an amazing place.

Cathi has been cutting my hair for about 3 years now and does an excellent job. She knows exactly what I am looking for and makes me look good! Appointment set-​up is very easy and the rates are comparable to other downtown salons. I highly recommend Cathi for a men’s cut.

They are all talented stylists! Love these girls! Cathi does fast and professional men’s cuts! Grisel and Imara also do beautiful hair!

imara has been my stylists for 2 years! she cares about the integrity of my hair and will listen when i only want a trim! i have posted pics to prove this! i’m very happy with her and would highly recommend her for bridal updos! never been disappointed! pics shown.

They really know there stuff! They are friendly, helpful and very talented. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone especially with damaged hair! I had a great experience here and will definitely be back!

100% do not recommend this salon. Wasted my time and money and on top of it they lacked in customer service skills. Go to Aveda instead! Not only do they treat you amazing but they also were able to give me exactly what I wanted.
Update:
You are correct I came in for a color correction and you are also correct I wasted my time and had a consultation with Crystal. Where your salon lacked in the customer service aspect was A. Crystal was late for our consultation to begin… B. When I came in for my appointment it was a quick in and out and I was basically tossed to the side as a client. A quick «fix» if you will… It is funny how when I explained the process to Aveda that was used at your salon they were appalled. It’s also funny how Crystal spent a total of perhaps an hour with me and Aveda spent six ensuring as a paying client I was satisfied with the results.
End result in MY opinion you are running a poor salon with poor staff who are uneducated in their profession. I will personally never step foot in your salon again and you can believe it when I say I will absolutely never recommend it nor Crystal.

I was at the salon about two months ago for my first time my stylist was Crystal she did a really good job and I was happy with the results. I told my mother and two sisters about Crystal and they were very excited to go.
About two weeks I made an appt for my mother with Crystal and got a text confirmation about her appointment, my mother and sister showed up and they were told they didn’t have her on the books and made an appt for the next day and was told Crystal doesn’t specialize in short hair cut (in my opinion a good stylist can do any haircut)
So my mother’s appt was given to another stylist. My other two sisters were asking Crystal suggestions on what they could with their hair and Crystal’s attitude was very off-​standish and dry pretty much did not want to be bothered with questions.
So in conclusion you have lost four clients.
I will be looking for a new stylist for my mother, sisters and I. Where we feel more welcome and can ask any question without feeling like we are bothering somebody.
I would like to add that Kathy who cut my mothers hair, was very professional and polite to both my mother and sisters. Unfortunately, because of Crystals poor attitude we will not be back.

Here’s an update:
The owner and stylist I had are now sending me messages through Unilocal about how they have filed a police report on me because there was a payment due that I was never contacted about.
The owner is now telling me that there is some payment I never paid for and that they called me several times (they never actually did) and said they filed a police report on me. I have paid every time, except the last time when they were fixing the toning (because my hair was not how I wanted) and they never indicated I should pay. Crystal even said bye and smiled as I walked out the last time I was there. I have my bank statements to prove my payment and phone call logs to prove no one has contacted me from the salon. Interesting the salon decided to tell me this now, 4+ months later, after I left a bad review. When I replied to her that no one ever called me, she never replied. Great customer service, it really tells you how they think of their clients.
