Homewood Suites by Hilton West Palm Beach

We were pretty disappointed in this hotel… it was definitely not up to Hilton standards. We had a 2BR suite, and the layout was nice, but everything in the room was worn, dirty, broken or missing. The living room TV was missing (we were told it was moved to another room, for some reason), the ottoman in the living room was worn and cracked (see pic), the office chair in the master BR had a stain on the seat so disgusting that you would not want to sit on the chair without a towel (I shudder to think what was done on that chair to create that stain), the rear elevator didn’t go to 5 because of a broken button (see pic), housekeeping never came one day, even though we had made a special request in the morning to have the sofa bed made up, and in general, the whole hotel was worn, dirty and dated. (The highlight of the rooms were the bed pillows… I loved them.) And my favorite customer service incident was when we were checking out. Desk Clerk: «How was your stay?» Me: «Well, if you don’t mind everything being broken or dirty, housekeeping never coming, and not having a TV in your room, it was fine.» Desk Clerk: «You didn’t have a TV?» Us: «No, they told us it had been moved to another room.» Desk Clerk: «Okay, well, here’s your bill.» Wow. Really? Needless to say, next trip down to WPB, we’ll be finding another place to stay.

Loved it. The beds were comfy not hard like Marriott’s. The dinner was kinda blah though. But hey it’s free. Pillows soft. Hotel is in a nice area Idk what some people were saying that it wasn’t. Love hoomewoods wish there were more of them

Guaranteed Check-​in at 3:00. It’s 3:20 and my room still not available. This sucks!!! Finally at 3:41 pm. Unacceptable. Spoke to Richard, he was very helpful and offered a 50% discount. Which made me feel a lot better.

I enjoyed my stay no complaints the free breakfast was good n hot… my suite was outstanding clean

Gave away my guaranteed reservation for ADA compliant room, downgraded size then charged me for the more expensive room anyway. Nice looking and comfortable rooms but with all the racket of children running around, slamming doors at all hour and day and night, and West Palm Beach Public Housing «clients» overrunning hotel, makes sleeping and utilizing services paid for impossible. Never able to access breakfast due to children taking over kitchen, sneezing on food and then food supply for breakfast exhausted after children had their fill. Staff horrible at attending to guest requests. 2 staff members informed me that I was not entitled to ADA compliance and swore at me when I complained. Manager authorizing charging of my credit card twice for entire say and never responded to single complaints nor refunded stolen funds. Staff stole package delivered. Filed complaint with Hilton «guest services» 9 times but no action taken. Have walking disabilities yet was forced to walk up and down stairs due to children taking over elevators, causing further injury. No handicap parking access and when complained was informed that other’s have right to the handicap parking as well. Forced by poor accommodations and staff to check out 2 weeks early. Learned Homewood brand hotels are a franchise and individually owned and NOT honoring Hilton Corporate umbrella policies.

Well I wanted to give this hotel a perfect review… everything was really great until we were getting ready to leave. Front desk did not like the fact that I interrupted their conversation for help. My husband had an injured arm and we needed a cart. None were up front so I inquired how many they had and informed them that I really needed one. They told me they were already helping someone find one and could do nothing for me and returned to their conversation :(I wasn’t expecting a miracle just a little curtesy. Not what I would expect from a HomeWood Suites. Please work on that.

STAY AWAY! It is gorgeous, but very dirty in the rooms and the manager is an absolute liar. We travel a ton and have always loved Hilton but they had a glitch in their system and somehow it became our problem. We contacted the manager as well as Hilton customer service. Hilton said the hotel manager arranged for the issue to be resolved and that he had spoken with us. This was not the case. Not only did he not contact us, but whatever arrangement he made was a lie. He continued to say we spoke about the situation and we had not. A huge shame. Places looks great but is dirty and poorly run.

This place is great. Suites with full kitchen, full refrigerator, a living room and bedroom. Very friendly staff that somehow knew what I was coming in for before I even opened my mouth and kept up their near-​psychic attention to my needs the entire stay!
Free breakfast and dinner! Billiards room was a nice touch. Nice pool area.
Conveniently located across the street from a Harly Davidson dealership & strip club. You know, if picking up a stripper on your new bike is what you like!

What a dismal place. Moved to a third room before some of the in room items worked. In the first room, the living room lamp and the phone did not work, the coffee table was missing. I was moved to another room where the AC did not work… I finally finagled the thermostat to where it worked, then after dinner neither TV worked all night or the next morning. Absolutely unacceptable. The mgr excused the remainder of my reservation and comped me the night of misery I spent there.
All in all, the Hilton brand has deteriorated to the point where I am glad I have used of my most of my points. It is time to move on where my hard-​earned money is appreciated and my vacations can be pleasurable and not totally aggrevating.

I was supposed to stay for 7 days and barely stayed 1. My non-​smoking suite smelled terribly of cigarette smoke and there were even cigarette burns on carpet. Front desk staff gave a spray to neutralize odor, but it only masked it. I asked for another suite and they told me that they didn’t have any, but I was able to book another suite in the same hotel before checking out of mine through Priceline; so I wonder who lied. When I explained the situation to the front desk staff upon check out they didn’t even offer to help me look for another hotel within their family of hotels. Breakfast was another dissatisfaction, we arrived there at least 40 minutes before it was supposed to be over, and there wasn’t anymore juice or only watered down juice, no coffee, no waffle batter, no pastries and barely no eggs or sausage. Many guests got very upset with kitchen staff. I’m currently at Best Western for the first time, and while they don’t have the same amount of stars, they should because their breakfast is way better, staff is way friendlier, their rooms don’t smell of cigarettes and are clean, and they helped me when I needed to check in a while day earlier because of a mishap when reserving the room.

Just stayed here over the weekend with a bunch of friends for the Dave Matthews Concert. It was great! The rooms were clean, the huge full kitchen was awesome, and love that they have elevators at different parts of the hotel. We all had separate rooms and didn’t find one problem. Love that they have Neutrogena for the toiletries too. and Oh My Lord the breakfast was awesome! biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, cereal, waffles, etc. it was packed full of goodies. Loved that they have a little putting green by the pool that friends used and the pool and adjoining deck were both great. We also called ahead to see if they could make sure our rooms would be ready when we got there since we were arriving early and by the time we arrived at 1pm it was :) Thank you for a great room and a wonderful stay!

we reserved this room several months in advance with a courtesy hold & when we were supposed to check in a winter storm came through & we were going to be very late and would need to add an extra date the gentlemen that answered the phone was able to assist us and give us the same rate we had originally booked at even though the current price of the room had already doubled what we were paying. the bed wasn’t very comfortable & the pillows were down filled (like). the breakfast & dinners that are provided were ok tasting. there are better selections of food out there I wouldn’t book this room if you are counting on a great tasting food. the variety of food was great. all of the staff was super friendly and helpful this is a huge plus. I would definitely her again when in palm beach.

This hotel is in my rotation. I frequent monthly. They know me by name here too. It’s clean and updated. This hotel made me forget all about Embassy Suites, I’m now a ride or die Homewood Suites girl. ~throws up my Hilton Honors gang sign~ The front desk staff (especially Joshua) is friendly and makes you feel at home.
My biggest grievance is: at night you can smell trash. Apparent there’s a landfill nearby. One night, the odor was so strong it woke me up from a deep sleep. It smelled of gas. I even went as far as leaving my room and sitting in the dining area and still couldn’t get away from it. My suggestion for them is to get febreeze and put it everywhere. Don’t act like ya’ll haven’t seen the commercial. It works!
Oh and never stay on the second floor. The housekeeper who cleans that level, I’m convinced she’s replaced her cleaning solutions with raw sewage. Trust me. If you are booked on the 2^nd floor, beg, plead, slip them $ 5 bucks to not have you stay there. You’ve been forewarned.

Wow, what a great hotel. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much upon booking this hotel as I just needed a room for one night and chose this particular hotel last minute. Staff was super friendly during the check-​in and check-​out process and the room was a great size and I love having a kitchen in the room. Also, I saw a menu on the refrigerator in the room and saw they feed you dinner during the week Monday — Thursday and breakfast every day at no charge. What a bonus! I only stayed here for one night but did check out the breakfast in the morning. Coffee was tasty and I was all over the waffle machine. That thing is awesome.
I have asthma so a clean, non-​smoking room is what i look for. The room was super clean (i even checked the fan blades and those were free of dust) and I could breathe easily in the room. Bed was comfortable and large and the bedding was nice and fluffy. This hotel is close to I95 so meeting up with my friends in Palm Beach Gardens took me 10 minutes. I will definitely be coming back to this hotel. Well done Homewood Suites! Keep up the great work!

Bottom line up front: Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced at a Hilton property.
Checked in on a Thursday for a 4 day visit to West Palm Beach. We regulary stay at Hilton properties on our trips to south Florida. This was our fist stay at this particular property. This hotel is rated #4 of 34 hotels listed on Trip Advisor, so we were confident we were going to receive the standard good service. Wrong… I should have taken heed to the few «Terrible» reviews. The hotel was asthetically pleasing. Nice and clean. Our room had a faint hint of cigar smoke. Other than that, the room was o.k. The real trouble started Friday evening. After spending the day out and about, we returned to a room that had been partially cleaned. The tub had not been cleaned, the trash had not been emptied and the floor had not been vacuumed. The bed had been made and we got fresh towels. We asked for and received extra towels. We returned to an uncleaned room Saturnday evening after a day out and about. My wife went to the front desk to inform them that our room had not been cleaned and requested extra towels. They were very apologetic, but unresponsive. My wife was told that rooms are cleaned once every two weeks for extended stays. I didn’t realize a 3 night, 4 day stay constituted an extended stay. After about 45 minutes, I went to the front desk and asked for towels and a trash bag so I could take out our trash. Shortly after the second request we got towels. One trash can was emptied and a trash bag was left for me to empty the other trash can. House keeping did not visit us that day. On Sunday morning I inquired about express checkout. Unfortunately, this Hilton property does not offer this convenient service. This is definitely not the service we’ve grown used to. Definetly will not revisit this Hilton property. Service makes the stay. We can stay at home and clean our own rooms and take out our own trash.

From the time I made my reservation, through the time I checked out, I have experienced great customer service and excellent hospitality.
The hotel is my new favorite when traveling to West Palm.

I have a mixed review of the Homewood Suites. Stayed for four nights during Thanksgiving.
The hotel was very clean, which is always very high on my list of hotel criteria. The room was nice and spacious at a reasonable rate. The kitchen area in the room was updated and well stocked. The breakfast buffet was excellent with great choices. The kitchen staff were very good — friendly and helpful. Free Internet, both wired and wireless. The pool area was nice, with a putting green, but the way it’s situated means that there isn’t a lot of sunlight on the pool throughout the day.
Had some trouble with getting in touch with the front desk — no answer more than once. Television in the room was nice, but wasn’t working well. Could not get ESPN or ESPN2. We had a major issue with the hotel, too, but the management did a good job of making it right very quickly.

We had a terrific 2-​bedroom suite for a great price. Spacious with comfy beds and great décor. The location was excellent, and parking easy. Breakfast in the morning was unexpectedly good, with a variety of hot and cold options. The beer/​wine happy hour at night is charming. We were in town for a funeral, and the excellent accommodations really provided a nice home during a difficult time.

One of the nicer hotels to stay if you are here for work reasons. It is near most of the businesses and other corporate buildings.
What’s great it has complimentary breakfast and dinner (M-​Th). The dinner is pretty good for free. Especially all the wine and Bud Light you can drink. Yes, free beer. How can you go wrong?
The regular suite has a small kitchen (microwave, fridge/​freezer, stove, pots, pans, etc.). The standard free internet. It’s a great deal for the price. A home away from home.
