The place has potential, but the food was absolutely disgusting. We were there with 3 people, none of us ate our food. We went there because we wanted something better than Rocco’s tacos. We should have stuck to the fast Mexican food at Rocco’s.

Tonight was my 2nd attempt here. The 1st time I came was for lunch when they first opened. It’s been a while so my husband & I decided to try it again, this time for dinner. Let’s start with the inside. Super cute. Lots of potential. However, they have 9 TVs, zero of which were on & we could barely hear the music. No, we didnt come here to dance but the vibe we got walking in was«Ugh, a customer». Hello! It’s Friday night & every other place in Northwood got the memo except Dos Amigos. When we first arrived we were the only patrons in the entire place. We sat at a booth & ordered margaritas with salt on the rim. My husband’s margarita came without salt. So we asked the waitress for a glass with salt on it. She brought a salt shaker to our table. This is not a joke. I was so insulted I insisted on staying to see what else this night would entail. My husband ordered the Carne Asada. It stunk. Literally. Had a horrible smell to it. Neither of us could fathom more than one bite. People started to sit at the bar & four additional tables filled in. When we ordered our 2nd round of margaritas the waitress apologized for the wait(although I honestly didn’t think it took long at all). She claimed she was really swamped, with 5 tables. There were 2 people at each table. So she had a total of 10 orders. And she was swamped? It’s Friday night at 8:45. The only other employee I saw during our entire stay was the bartender. So… they took the Carne Asada off our bill, which we are grateful for. I hardly ever write negative reviews. But my main reason for writing this one is because I am hoping someone who has some ownership in this company reads this, wakes up and makes some changes… or maybe they do not want the business.

No. Just no. I wanted to like this place, I did. The location is great and décor is super cute and trendy. The place was empty with the exception of a few people at the bar. We sat at a table since we had kids. The service was painfully slow. At one point we all had empty cups… and I mentioned we were the only table right? One waitress for one table, she should have been on top of things. But no; and she was terribly undertrained, didn’t even know the menu or drinks available. We actually just felt terrible for her since she was nice but clearly this is not the line of work she should be in. As for the food, my hubs said the beef tacos tasted off and weird, friend said the fish tacos did not taste fresh at all, and everything was spicy. Even the beans. And I’m Guatemalan, I can take heat. Saving grace was the chicken nachos tasted pretty good. It’s very unfortunate.

Horrible. Was so excited to try this place out because I won a $ 50 gift card from the radio station, and it was such a disappointment. Food was not fresh. The steak had a odd smell to it and did not taste good at all. Service was not great at all; considering the fact that there was only 3 other people dining in. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place to my fellow foodies.

I really don’t know how this restaurant is still open. On a busy Friday night everywhere else, they were almost empty. They stopped serving food at around 8:30pm! They clearly looked understaffed. Although the service was the best part of the evening. The only server there kept her cool and was on top of things. She didn’t have that many tables but she was the only one there and was running the bar as well. The food was terrible. The carnitas tacos were so full of oil. The steak was so rubbery. The rice was overcooked. The décor was that of a cheap Mexican stand. The tables’ rubber trimmings were falling off and had been taped with paper tape. It felt as there was no management, completely abandoned.

Came here with my wife on a Friday evening excited for a new Mexican place. Parking was a bit hard to find and the place was dead. We were 1 of 2 parties dining and it was about 7pm. Servers were really friendly but were inexperienced high school kids. My wife’s margarita was missing citrus, she exchanged it for a strawberry margarita and it wasn’t much better. I had the mojito which was a bit watered down. Food was good, my wife’s quesadilla was huge and my Cowboy burrito was plated and presented nicely. The tortilla was hard so I just forked out the inside and mixed it with the rice and beans. Place is decorated nicely and It’s fairly new so I know experiences will get better. I hope business picks up for them cause it definitely has potential.

This is not just another Mexican restaurant! NO! Located in the funky and eclectic area of Northwood this place has it all! Great food, great drinks, specials, an outdoor and covered patio area for eating and bar access, free parking and close to downtown! 2 Divas’ loves this place so much that we are hosting our next event this May 5th for Cinco De Mayo there! Great place to mix it up, mingle and have some fun with great food and drinks. Declan is amazing and knows his tequila… just ask him! Great service too!

Well… we(my wife and I) were out for a Sunday afternoon drive up the coast in the Jeep with the top down… Simply awesome vistas… when we came across this eatery. We both ordered a cold beer… next The signature Nachos and the Cheese & Chips… The chips tasted like they were fried up in old oil… Now, I don’t like to complain so I tried to get past it. There was no way so, I spoke to the waitress. Her reply… PISSEDMEOFF. «REALLY, I THINKTHEY’REFINE… I HAVEBEENEATINGTHEMALLDAY.» Not the answere you give a patron. Again I tried to get passed so as to not make a big show. I couldn’t do it. we left it… drank our beers and waited about 30 minutes for her to come back so we could ask for the check and get out of there. NEVERGOINGBACK… After this experiance all I could think was… PRESIDENTTRUMP, BUILDTHATWALL!!!

Service was great. Hannah was friendly and attentive. The beer selection had a nice mix of local beers on tap(some not seen at other places) in addition to the standards. Unfortunately the food was bland. The drunken burrito was huge but lacked any flavor. The carne asada was terrible with an odd unpleasant flavor(they took it off our bill at least which was good customer service). The chips and salsa were good at least. I’d come back here for drinks but would skip the food.

Maybe even one star would be generous to give to this place. The worst burrito I ever had. What a rip off.

No. Sat at the bar for lunch. Bartender was great, friendly, attentive– but the food was not. Cold taco fillings, oddly bland, nothing worth returning for. Chips and salsa left me wishing I had saved the calories for better food. Is there any management here? Don’t waste your time. If you’re hungry for tacos and good guacamole, go to Rocco’s, especially on taco Tuesday.

One of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to, the service was so bad the bartender quit in the middle of the shift. No one knew what they were doing there was no manager no owner present. This place was the worst.

Just tried thus place last night for the crazy taco tuesday deal that this place has been raving about. $ 2 dollar tacos, and 99 cent margaritas! Super Bomb deal. For a deal this good you would think food must be crappy, and crappy tequila right? WRONG. Okay maybe the tequila… the drink itself is really good surprisingly. Not your highest grade of tequila — expect a headache the next day if you drink more than 2. The tacos, we’re quite good for such an amazing deal. Very plain tacos of course — no sour cream or quac to accompany them, just your meat, lettuce, tomato, and cheese. Best one is the chicken tacos hands down! The meat is actually very fresh, and rich in tatse, but just your super plain tacos, then again you can never expect much at $ 2. Why 2 stars? The place WASNOTTHATBUSY, yesterday arriving at 10pm… it had rained and cut their regular business on taco tuesday in half. Yes there were seats filled, but not enough for a wait, and definitely not enough for such bad service that they give. Our server was alright, tall, long dark haired girl. Very slow to accommodate. No waters, didn’t receive food or drink til 20/30mins after ordering. The server also never bothered to check back on us regularly. Just came took orders, disappear, and drop off food and drink. The worst one of all through the night was another food runner/server, young girl, short, and short blonde hair, this one was clearly completely turned off by her evening. She came by trying to figure out if the food she was dropping off was for us or not, since she could not figure it was ours after being told it was, she made a terrible face and turned and left. Bad experience just by her alone, not even sure if I’ll be willing to go back because the service is just so bad here. Food is good, maybe in the future I’ll try them again, definitely not on taco tuesday, even though the deal is awesome and I recommend everyone to try just for that low price, other than that consider yourself warned of the bad service! Fun atmosphere though, very bar like…

Went tonight for the first time. Saw the tall bartender everyone has been complaining about. Doesn’t smile much but if you chat him up he’s pretty funny. It was insane busy because of taco Tuesday, like people have warned, and I think the bartenders should relax more and smile to get through it but wasn’t the worst service I’ve had. Food is good, not great, but good enough that I was okay with the prices. I’m excited to go on Thursday which is flip night. Apparently you flip a coin to see your price or something. Sounds hokey but original. Overall, I didn’t hate it and would go back. Probably not on Tuesday though.

My first impression walking in was more of a bar than a restaurant. Only person on the floor was the bartender and he was very busy talking to 2 customers. He finally directed us to seat wherever we liked. There were about 4 tables with customers that were already finishing up their lunch. It was Thursday at 1230 and only 4 tables and 2 at the bar, not a good sign. The one and only waitress to the whole place showed up about 5 minutes later. All up to then there was nobody around. The menu prices are high. There is no lunch menu. For 2 tacos and refried beans they want $ 10. A quesadilla is $ 9.99 plus $ 3for chicken and it goes up from there. I ordered the taco salad and the only nice thing about it was the shell which had a nice crisp and tasted good. But the salad itself was basically the worst taco salad I’ve had. The meat tasted bland like they browned it and partially drianed it and put it inside the shell then tossed in handfulls of lettuce tomato and cheese. When i moved it around you could see liquid on the bottom. It looked great but didn’t taste good at all. I only had water and had to ask the waitress for a lemon 3 times before i got it. Needless to say i wont be coming back here. The place looks like a mexican bar, its nicely decorated and im sure that $ 2 taco tuesdays with .99margaritas will get a lot of attention. But if you’re looking for good tasty Mexican food this is not the place to go.

Food portions are TERRIBLE for the amount they charge. I don’t know how they justify this.

I tried to convince the mr. to eat tacos here last night but he had his heart set on burgers next door at Relish but we stopped in to sit at the bar and check this new place out. It occupies the space that our worst restaurant experience EVER(the ill fated little moirs) but we tried not to think about that. We snagged two seats at the bar and to his credit the bartender did mumble a greetings right away. then he joylessly served a bunch of other .99 cent frozen margaritas which is what we asked for when he came back around. I was willing to order an appetizer had he ever offered or engaged us again at any time. We finished our drinks which were A-ok like my rating indicates and I will go back again on another evening to try the tacos.

We couldn’t wait for this place to open! The $ 2 tacos were great and so were the margaritas. The atmosphere is fun and friendly. We will definitely be spending more time here.

The server there introduced me and a few friends to Karma Tequila on the rocks. So good, my new favorite and the food was simply delicious!

‘Ello chaps! Peppered across Palm Beach County are Mexican restaurants. What’s rare to find is a GOOD Mexican restaurant. While Dos Amigos is a chain restaurant, it really is one of the better spots in town. Granted it’s brand new, but they offer lots of alcohol and food options. The tacos were well seasoned and offered with various meats, seafood and a veggie option. The spanish rice is also a little different than other Mexican restaurants by being blended with Pico. One downfall about the meal is the baked beans. It tasted a bit chalky and the texture was a bit chunky. I’m partial to the smooth refried beans, but that’s just me I suppose.
