Applebee’s

I’ve here twice in the past 2 weeks. Good food both times. Fast & friendly staff. It’s convenient for us because it’s on I 40 west Memphis near I 55. We travel this way to& from Texas to Michigan. After all days travel we need a good place to stop & eat that we can count on for good food. By that time we need to get out of the car.

Horrible. Horrible. HORRIBLE! Took 15 minutes for someone to even acknowledge that we we’re there & ended up being waited on by some poor girl that wasn’t even running the section we were seated in. Food was OK at best but ordered the French onion soup & sent back. The cheese was not even close to melted on top & the «bowl» was ¾ empty… so sad.

We eat here once a week. The service is great and the people are friendly. I love the pepper-​crusted sirloin and whole grains with 370 calories. Stop in its great.

The service is terrible, restaurant is extremely slow. After waiting 35 minutes for an appetizer, I simply left a $ 5 bill on the table to pay for drinks. I was wanting this spot to do well in my hometown, maybe it will maybe it won’t. I won’t be back!

We always eat here maybe once a month or two. Most of the time we order the 2 for this amount with appetizer and another order. Food is always delicious. When we eat here, ALWAYS SATISFIED with the food. Some people say it’s greasy, what do you expect it’s from the grill. They also have healthy choices for those calorie conservatives.
Service is okay, sometimes a little slow especially for busy times. Some servers are not the same one like the last time we ate (we lived here for only 3 years).
Atmosphere is good. It has a bar so expect loud noise but tolerable. They also have touch screen for children to pay with (NOT FREE) and for adults to pay their bill directly.

The service was excellent, friendly and prompt unfortunately the food delivered below expectations. I ordered the new brisket stuffed enchilada’s. What I got only barely resembled the menu and online menu pictures. Instead of 3 fully stuffed enchilladas, what I got were 3 rather flat tortilla shells without much filling that were barely higher than the sauces they were smothered in. The rice, while good, didn’t save this dish. Good job on the service but the food came up short

Horrible horrible service. We left after 15 minutes of waiting with no waiter or waitress even coming to tell us that they would help us as soon as possible. Poor management 100%.

The worst experience I’ve ever had at an Applebee’s… Save the waitress. She was awesome. But the food sucked and even she knew it and I could sense she felt bad about it. That’s pretty sad. The steak I ordered, looked like it was the cheapest cut of meat leftover from some high school cafeteria. It came well done and frankly it looked like it had been boiled rather then grilled. It had no flavor and as I started to eat it I heard others around me complain of the same issues. It’s almost enough to put me off Applebee’s entirely, but I know it’s an fluke. But I will never return to this location and would warn anyone to avoid it.

Food was burned and took a long time to come out. Server was not excited to be at work. She was quick with bringing the check though!

We visit this Applebee’s once a month. We have enjoyed our visits to this location. Just had the «New» chicken quesadilla. It is less than half the size of the previous chicken quesadilla appetizer and is not as good. I am sorry to say we will not be back.

Their air conditioning worked, but that was about it. Employees sure didn’t! Rude service! Didn’t have ingredients for an item on the menu and they are located in walking distance to a Kroger and a Super Walmart. My children went to the bathroom and came back telling about vulgar things written all over the bathroom. Thoroughly disappointed!

4 tries and every time asked myself why… Poor inexperienced servers managers with no food service skills. Plates and glasses with visible finger prints on them straight from the kitchen. People this type of food isn’t the answer, unless you enjoy throwing your money away.
Take my word… Kroger and cooking for yourself will bring you more pleasure than this…

Not a fan. Colton’s is a better experience to me.

This place is terrible. Service is slow and I did not feel very welcome. We left. Wasn’t worth the wait and the poor service.

Ok service at the bar… Place is dirty… Bathrooms are worse then a roadside rest area!!! The foods takes forever to get to you… It wasn’t just mine either, it was everyone around me. I really like Applebee’s but this the worst one that I have ever been in!

I should have paid attention to the reviews on here. It tool several minutes before a waitress cane to my take than even more time before my beer arrived. While I was waiting for my beer I saw a table of four get up and leave without ordering. Even though I ordered, I was tempted to leave. Just as I had that thought my beer arrived. The service here really sucks. My waitress was nice but it doesn’t matter ended you are hungry after a long road trip. I expected faster service. Oh well.

One of the better Applebee’s I have been to service wise, but still an Applebee’s with the same menu of passable food.

This Applebee’s has the look of being recently redesigned and the curb appeal brought me in. It was a Friday night and I expected to be on a waiting list but was pleasantly surprised to see many available tables and servers. I should have tempered my happiness.
The hostess was slow to acknowledge the single customer ahead of me and with his own encouragement was able to steer the hostess to a table. I experienced the same issue. I am pretty sure the division of labor is supposed to be the other way around.
The waitress was largely disengaged, slow to bring water and tableware, and needed to be flagged down from her socializing with an off-​duty employee, now customer, to take my order. I was in no particular hurry but I definitely sympathized with the other customers who were also not being served.
The order was exactly as requested and thankfully it was delivered by the kitchen staff.
The party continued between the servers and a variety of off-​duty and former employees to the detriment of the paying customers with several doing their level best to hold a civil tongue. The manager made several appearances through the dining room and on at least two occasions, summoned all servers into the back where they were loudly chastised. That drew more than few looks between customers but really did not change anything. Anarchy was just around the corner.
My bill was accurate and I took a few leftovers for tomorrow’s lunch. It only took three requests for a small carryout box.
Two final observations. The table was sticky and unstable. When customers departed, none of the tables were being wiped off. Gross. And, the bar area was being run like well-​oiled machine. The two bartenders were attentive to their customers with drinks and food orders presented with precision and cheer. If given the choice, go for the bar and skip the dining room.

We had an excellent waitress who attended to my family very diligently. The food was prepared well, and was welcomed after a long day of traveling on US40.

This Applebees is located just off the Interstate thus it is easy to get to and from if you are traveling. We were pleasantly greeted by a nice hostess who seated us immediately. There were several specials on the menu and we opted to order the $ 20 for two meal which included an appetizer and two entrees. There were several entrees choices all of which seemed good. Ordered the spinach and artichoke cheese dip and it was delicious. Severed very quickly and with loads of chips. The steak we ordered was small however we did not want that much for dinner. The steak was cooked exactly as we had ordered. Came with an assortment of fresh steamed vegetables and a baked potato. Our waiter was excellent and checked on us several times during the meal.
