Meet the Business Owner
Pascal R.
Business Owner
Pascal Chureau grew up in Bordeaux, France where he learned the magic of sharing a good meal at an early age, enrolled at Ecole Hoteliere de Bordeaux at 16, & solidified his post-grad experience in Paris. Soon after, a vacation to San Francisco turned permanent. He became the executive chef at Remillard’s, opened a cooking school & catering business, & served as the executive chef at Mistral. In 1999, Pascal & his wife moved to Portland, with a deep affection for Portland’s proximity to both coast and mountains, & the abundance of farms, ranches and fisheries. He also put down roots in the thriving Portland restaurant scene, co-owning & leading the kitchens at Tucci in Lake Oswego & Fenouil on Jamison Square, & the latest venture, Brasserie Montmartre, which opened May, 2011. A big believe in the community, Pascal is a regular participant in nonprofit fundraisers for Plate and Pitchfork, Oregon Tilth, Cooking For Kids, Cascade AIDS Project, Taste of the Nation, & many others.
