Here’s my two cents for you.
Money, money, money… that’s what is the driving force behind the business here. I have quite a bit of experience with this profession as a practitioner and a client and I have never experienced anything like it (not in a good way).
First, you fill out reams of paperwork agreeing to all sorts of costs before you ever even meet Mustin herself (when does that ever happen)? Then, there is a sneaky-​ness and lack of transparency to her work. I found that while she worked with my child, she was placating to me, misleading, and at the same time guiding me toward her agenda of neurofeedback without being direct… all the while charging me very high fees (for this area as well as for other major cities) up the ying yang. In fact, she tried to charge us an extra $ 50 just to give feedback about our child to both parents! ($ 50 less for feedback to one parent). The whole thing rings just this side of unethical and while it doesn’t officially go against any APA ethics, it is a poor business practice and wreaks of money-​hungriness.
