V Nails

I love it here. I love Tony work. My nails are gorgeous always. Had to bring my sister!!! Always happy!!!

I don’t give 1 star reviews lightly, especially to businesses I haven’t even been able to patronize, but my experience here has left me fuming. I made an appointment for a mani-​pedi tonight. When I showed up they said they had no record of my appointment and told me it was too late to help me today (even though it was an hour and a half before they close). Now I have to scramble to figure out how to get my nails looking presentable for my best friend’s wedding, since I have another commitment tomorrow night and we leave for California before dawn the day after tomorrow. I’ll probably end up paying way too much to get them done at the airport.
I understand that scheduling mistakes happen and I wouldn’t be writing this review if they had been even the slightest bit apologetic, but everyone working in the salon was incredibly rude to me. They told me I had called a different salon and when I said I was sure I had called them, they basically called me a liar. They loudly (they never crossed the salon to speak to me face to face, just shouted at me from their stations) announced that they had accepted no appointments today so I had to have called a different place. When I said I had actually made the appointment a couple of days ago, they back-​tracked and said they hadn’t accepted any appointments this week. I may be reading too much into this, but the way they were talking to me sounded like they were accusing me of being racist and not able to tell Asian people apart, especially when I said I didn’t catch the name of the person I spoke to on the phone (for the record, I rarely catch the name of any customer service person over the phone, regardless of their race). The way they spoke to me, in front of all their other patrons, was humiliating.
When I got home I checked my call log and I did indeed call them (or at least the number listed on their Unilocal and Facebook pages: (765) 463‑1936), and I made the appointment yesterday. I’m disappointed, because they are in a convenient location for me, and the salon looked nice, but I will not be returning.

If you tell them what you want — in my experience that’s exactly what you get :) they do a good job too. This is my go to nail salon

I love going to this place! There are a few nail salons in the West Lafayette area that I have visited, and my experiences always range from great to terrible, depending on the tech. Not this place, I always have a great experience here, be it for a fill or a pedi.
Also, a few weeks ago I was desperate to get a fill for a special event I had and needed to get it done Sunday morning. Unfortunately, no one in the area is open before noon on a Sunday, if they’re open at all. The owner, however, not only opened his salon specially for me, but charged me the normal rate even though this required him going above and beyond to help me out. They’re awesome :)

Very pleased with my gel mani, pedi, and eyebrow wax. No pain on anything. Nice conversation. Not long of a wait for a walk in. Very relaxing and very great massaging on mani and pedi. Impressed. Will definitely be back. Felt very pampered.

They don’t greet people at the door. I had an appointment and the stylist left. No phone call, They did not honor the appointment by offering someone else. Left me with no option but to wait or go somewhere else. I chose to take my money elsewhere.

If I could give no stars I would. Stopped by today based on Unilocal reviews, but was let down by the fact I came in well before supposed closing time. The sign said open and closing time was at 7pm and I got there before 4pm. Doors were still open and there was no one at the front desk. Two employees looked at me and said they’re closed. No explanation or anything. Doesn’t matter anyway, the whole place seemed shady and off putting. I will not be back and would recommend any one who is looking for a nail salon to go down the road and they will find a better salon.

I’ve been here twice. They do an overall good job but last times I was there they were very understaffed.

I was basically ignored by the guy who did my nails. He would occasionally grunt and point but never said a word. It was extremely uncomfortable. He left the building 3 times – never said a word

Not worth your money. I got a mani/​pedi and the woman doing my nails was more interested in what was going on outside the salon instead of what she was doing to my nails. She made me bleed, the nail polish is cheap, the clear coat was uneven so you could see where she missed spots. My nails chipped the day after. In summary, go somewhere else.

By far, this is the best nail salon in the Lafayette area. Not only do try forgo making you feel like you’re being thrown out the door, but they never leave you writhing in post pedicure pain, like VS Nails in Lafayette. This shop is so clean.

Douglas and Jennifer are simply the best! They are passionate about their business and truly care about their customers. Very personable and friendly! Jennifer does a great job at waxing as well! Love v nails and would never go anywhere else in the area! Definitely recommend

Terrible customer service!!! Got a regular polish mani&pedi and my polish started to chip off the next morning. When I went back to complain and ask for a refund I was told that they don’t guarantee their work! Please don’t waste your time or money.

6÷29÷12: there were more than 12 bridesmaids and friends getting mani/​pedis. They had delicious egg rolls, wine, mimosas, and water for us. Did everyone quickly and suggested options for us. The best part was massage on my feet during pedicure! They have really awesome nail dry stations too. Loved the service! Will return when I’m back in town for Purdue event

What can I say? These people went above and beyond to make my sister’s wedding party look and feel great!
We made reservations for our wedding party, so they knew to bring in extra help. When we arrived, they had set out wine and homemade eggrolls for us. Talk about awesome! They did not accept any customers while we were in there, so we had the place to ourselves so we could enjoy the big day and sip champagne together.
I was completely satisfied with the service. Everyone’s nails looked wonderful, and everyone got exactly what they wanted. I went with a gel manicure, and it still looks new. Usually my manicure chips by the end of the day, so I’m very happy.
All in all, this place really goes above and beyond to satisfy their customers. I will definitely be coming back here when I am in town.
