This is definitely my go-​to place for general car maintenance. The workers are all friendly and nice, and go out of their way to explain things that they’re doing or that my car needs to have done.
They also have tested my alternator for free and were able to recommend a few things based on the results.

I have gone to Auto Zone several times for basic auto maintenance — they are always helpful and friendly. They will test and charge your battery for free; when my battery was truly dead, they took the time to install the new battery in sub-​zero temperatures, with no complaints (and no extra charge!)
Today, I needed to replace a headlight. They helped me to pick out the appropriate model, and then helped me to install it – not only doing the dirty work for me, but teaching me how to do it myself next time.
While you can probably buy the parts cheaper elsewhere, they are very convenient, helpful, and friendly. I would highly recommend them for most general maintenance (especially if you are like me and have limited automobile knowledge).
