I needed a dentist in Los Angeles and was referred to Dr. Victor by my best friend Tanya. I am writing this after my second visit. I have had good dentists throughout my life but my experience with Dr. Victor, his staff, and the facilities at Sunset Dental has far exceeded my expectations of what it should be like to go to the dentist. The facility and equipment is state of the art — like flying first class. It is as if no expense was spared to make Sunset Dental the most advanced dental facility available. More importantly, I feel that Dr. Victor is a highly knowledgeable and experienced doctor. He took as much time as I needed to thoroughly explain my dental procedure and answer all my questions. The hygienist who performed my cleaning was also exceptional and skilled and was careful not to nick my gums with the scraper — a first for me and much appreciated. I can honestly say that I look forward to going to Dr. Victor for my future dental care. I feel I am in good hands.

I was referred to a couple dentists by my Ortho, and I decided to go with Dr. Victor for my veneers. Although I was a very precise with what I wanted him and his staff were very patient and I’m very happy with my new smile :)

Dr. Victor is the man! Been coming to him for years, always a straight shooter, no BS. Honest, Quick, gentle, clean and very professional!
The offices views of the hills are beautiful. He has all the new state of the art dental computers and technology. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I thank him and my teeth thank him more!!!

I found Sunset Dental on Unilocal after looking for a place to get my teeth cleaned. After reading the great reviews I decided to give them a try and I’m glad I did. Weeks after my cleaning, I suddenly had a serious toothache that lasted over a week. Maria who works the front desk and who is amazing got me in to see Dr. Vic, ASAP. Turns out I needed a root canal and immediately all the horror stories I’ve ever heard came rushing to mind. But I couldn’t have been in better hands. Dr. Vic, who is a super nice guy, assured me it would basically be a painless procedure and it was. No joke, I almost feel asleep at times and I wasn’t put under, only the area around the tooth was numb. The entire thing was actually easier then the cleaning, which is amazing and that’s all thanks to Dr. Vic.
Aside from the rockstar Doctor, his staff is just as great! Everyone is friendly and takes good care of you. Maria even checks in with you via calls and or text after any procedure. And I’ve never had to wait for any appointment. The second I walk through the door they are ready for me and I love that! The rooms also have cute views of the hills which gives it a relaxing and homie vibe. Plus, you get to pick whatever you want to watch on Netflix while the procedures take place, which is a great distraction. Honestly, if you are looking for a dentist, look no further.

This review is long overdue. Dr. K is very knowledgable and does an amazing job, and his staff is top notch. They’re the best in LA and I should know, I’ve tried quite a few!

Finding a good dentist is hard to come by in general. Dr. Victor did my veneers and other dental work and has far exceeded my expectations. His office is state of the art, massage chair while watching Netflix. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and give you the results you want. My smile is finally the way I like it!

I came to Dr. Victor and his awesome staff strictly based off Unilocal reviews. Not always the best idea, but this time it truly paid off. I have now been a patient as long as I have lived in California. In full disclosure, my father was a dentist and my mother was bookkeeper at his office, so I literally grew up in a Dental office. As such, the bar is set high when it comes to a Dentist. Since my father’s retirement and subsequent passing, I have always been hesitant to try new dentists. Well, I have finally found an office where I feel as comfortable as I did as a kid. The only thing missing is the small plastic fishbowl fixed high on a wall filled with little toys for kids who had a good dental visit (or for 5-​year-​old me when I could find the step ladder).

I’m so happy to have found Dr. Khatchaturian! I need some restorative works on my teeth and he was able together a plan that is budget friendly and I’m happy with. He completed my first crown today, and it was pain free and comfortable. I felt like he considered my needs and my comfort in everything that he did. Again, so glad to have found him!!!

Dr. Vic is perhaps one of the best dentists I’ve ever been to. And I’ve been to arguably the best in town. He is kind, considerate, thoughtful, compassionate, communicative, and thoroughly professional.
With a gentle touch and kind voice, there simply isnt anyone who compares. He genuinely, and I do mean genuinely cares about his patients.
I truly scored when finding this office!
I came to the good Dr. with two broken teeth one of which required after examination, a root canal.
Not only did he escort me upstairs to one of the best orthodontist’s in town (see my review) but the two of them gave me a bit of a discount until my dental insurance kicked in.
People don’t do that anymore!
I was deeply touched by the kind and thoughtful and compassionate gesture.
Clearly he and those he surrounds himself with are here to HELP PEOPLE, not take as much money as they possibly can from anyone and everyone and call it a day.
Further more, the office assistant/​receptionist Maria, is so helpful and makes appointment making effortless. Always greeted with a smile, and positive pleasant demeanor, she makes it easy to want to come to the dentist!– In fact, they BOTH make it easy to do so!
Olivia, Dr. Vic’s dental assistant is also a very sweet and kind person who greets you with a genuine smile– always. It’s clear the office takes pride in whom they hire and have assisting them and their patients.
Dr Vic and Maria always check up on things after an appointment to just make sure all is well.
In fact Dr Vic returned my call personally one morning when I was worried that the second broken tooth may need a root canal as well because of the sensitivity to hot and cold once a temporary was put in. after a series of questions and concerns, his professional opinion was that it would not and put my mind at ease with a few suggestions and instructions.
It truly just doesn’t get much better than this.
I simply cannot recommend Dr. Vic and the Sunset Dental Studio enough.

**Addendum —
I got my teeth cleaned this morning from Sandy the Dental Hygienist there in the office. Thorough, efficient, sweet, confident without being cocky, personable, kind. and above all else. she without question has an extremely gentle touch!!! She was constantly checking in to see how I was feeling: too much pressure, sensitivity, soreness? E.- none of the above! Personally I really appreciate that kind of attention and service.
I left feeling so much better than when I went in there. I received a terrific cleaning with zero pain! Oh and by the way. this was a deep cleaning which generally hurts like. well you know what!
In addition, Dr. Vic came in and adjusted my bite ever so slightly since I felt like it was just a tad off.
Seriously, run don’t walk to this dental office!

After researching on Unilocal,it was clear that Sunset Dental was the place to go!!!
I’ll first start off by saying that Maria, the receptionist, made booking an appointment effortless! She was SUPER sweet and must have called and texted me a handful of times with sooner openings that kept popping up, so I could get in ASAP! I thought that was extremely great costumer service and was excited to finally meet her in person.
Parking was a breeze and the building is nice. When I walked in the office, Maria greeted me and was even more lovely in person! The office is impeccable! Very clean and all white with orchids around for a splash of color. Very relaxing.
Sandy did my X-​rays and cleaning. Everything was relaxing and calm. The room looked out to a beautiful view of the Hollywood Hills and it was just so lovely. Sandy did AN AMAZING job cleaning my teeth, taking care of each tooth with pride!
I met with Dr. Victor after and he was really nice too!
I’ll be going back in a couple of weeks for a deep cleaning and I’m extremely relieved and happy to be in such great hands!

BEST.DENTIST.EVER.IN.LIFE!!!
Over the past several years, I’ve had really bad experience with multiple, different dentists. Therefore, I was quite anxious about my visit. From the moment I walked into the office, I knew I was in great hands. The staff greeted me with smiles, was very pleasant and made me feel at ease. I also loved the initial sign-​in process (super easy and on an ipad!).
I came in to redo my 2 crowns on my front 2 teeth, and to fix some cavities. Dr. Khatchaturian is the only dentist who was able to save me from getting a post on both teeth! He took the time (90 minutes!!) to answer all my questions (and trust me, there were plenty), explain to me my condition and his recommendation on how we should proceed. He is very calm, respectful, exhibit significant amount of patience, has excellent bedsides manners, very gentle, and explains everything before, during and after the procedure. He also makes sure, through every step of the way, that you are comfortable, at ease, pain-​free and relaxed. Moreover, he uses state of the art technology to ensure best dental care you can ever get!
I LOVE my new crowns — they look so natural (and better than the original ones!). The procedure was literally painless and I could not have been happier with the results. I also got one cavity fixed (again, completely painless) and am going back to fix my other 3. I am actually looking forward to my next visits!
In addition, I had a DEEP cleaning session (I suck at flossing, what can I say…) which went surprisingly well! They use a tropical cream to numb your gums (instead of the typical needle) and I did not feel a thing during the session! Once we were done, I literally felt like I have a new mouth. It was truly an incredible feeling. It was so good, that I scheduled my next cleaning appointment!
I also appreciate the texts they send, the day after your treatment, to check up on you and make sure you are doing OK, you’re not in pain, etc. You can also tell that it is done genuinely.
I trust Dr. Khatchaturian completely with my eyes closed. I know he has my best interest at heart and will always offer me the best treatment possible.
I cannot stress enough how amazing he is. Honestly — the BEST DENTIST you can ever wish for. 100% a must!

When I moved back to LA about a year ago, I did my research and found Sunset Dental Studio. I’ve moved around a lot, and had many dentists, and Dr. Vic is absolutely one of the best.
We started with a routine exam and cleaning, all of which went well. Then recently I had a series of issues with a molar and the wisdom tooth next to it. Dr. Vic worked with me to try to avoid a root canal, and gave me informed options at every step. When it turned out that I need the root canal, even that was a good experience. After hearing horror stories from others, I had almost NO pain from the root canal — which I credit to his skill and careful technique.
And Dr. Vic isn’t the only great thing about the office. The support staff is each amazing in their own way. Maria at the front desk is a wonder — completely on top of things (both with dental issues and insurance issues), and cheerfully following up to make sure everything is OK.
I’d highly recommend Dr. Vic and his team to anyone.

In full disclosure, I’ve left a 5-​star review before, but after a sort of crazy incident today — on Christmas Eve — which left my molar being chipped, I just had to revisit this page to give an additional 5 stars. I’d leave a million if I could. Dr. Khatchaturian pretty much saved Christmas.
Earlier today, being Christmas Eve and whatnot, I figured I would be safe chomping away on several Warheads sour candy. After biting down on that last one, I ran to the bathroom to brush my teeth, as I usually do, knowing full well that the malic acid covering the candy (giving it its awesomeness) is near the PH of battery acid. Anyway, as I finished brushing away, I ran my tongue over my molars and was horrified to discover a what-​my-​tongue-​felt-​like-​a-​gaping-​hole in one of my molars, which basically paralyzed me. What kind of sick joke is this?! I look down into the sink and see a teeny tiny piece of tooth. Whatever. Might as well have been the world’s biggest diamond. I knew right away that the last damn chomp did it. After grieving for 5 minutes (which, for me, included all 5 stages of grief including a particular feeling that I could turn back time and make this horrible thing all go away), I got to work and emailed Dr. Khatchaturian’s office expecting that I would get a response in two weeks, given the holidays. To my utter surprise, Dr. Khatchaturian called me within TWO MINUTES of my hitting the email’s send button.
I explained in detail what was going on, and Dr. Khatchaturian asked if I felt any pain or sensitivity. I said no, and he calmed me down saying that I’ll be fine. He even suggested that I NOT get the temporary dental filling from CVS (that I explained I’d do in my email) as those don’t really work. Just like that he saved me $ 7.00 and the dreaded trip to the neighborhood CVS — in my case the one on the corner of 3^rd St. and hell.

WOW, I stumbled across Dr. Vic on Unilocal and decided to try him out and now I’m hooked. The office has all the state of the art equipment and a office has a killer view. During the initial consultation he found issues that were not caught by my old dentist.
With the changes in the insurance laws my old dentist started to charge me quite a bit for routine cleaning, with Dr Vic the routine cleanings are included and do not require a co-​pay. Dr. Vic is the future of dentistry try him out and won’t regret it.

My husband and I are new patients and we can’t get over how amazing Victor and his team are. Everyone is extremely friendly and accommodating well beyond what they need to be. Highly recommend! Best Dentist Ever… period!

Dr. Vic is the best dentist I’ve ever been to. He’s kind, gentle, caring, and clearly passionate about pain management. The hygienists are experienced and thorough, and clearly know what they’re doing. The office is very cool, filled with the latest in dental technology (including an incredible PAIN-​FREE method of administering anesthesia) and designed in a great mid-​century aesthetic. Best of all, Dr. Vic has a terrific sense of humor, so your visits are never boring. Get in to see him.

Best Dentist in LA! I can’t thank Dr. Victor enough for the amazing job that he did and care he provided during my visits. I’ve been to many dentists before and was never happy with the results until I found Dr. Victor. He changed the crowns on my front teeth and matched the color so perfectly that now you can’t tell the crowns apart from my natural teeth. He’s an extremely skilled and helpful dentist and I would recommend him to anyone who’s looking to get veneers, crowns or anything cosmetic related done. He truly puts in effort in his work and will not let you leave his office until you’re happy with the results! His secretary Maria is also amazing and checks up on you after every appointment. She goes above and beyond to work with your schedule and is an absolute pleasure to talk to. I would never let another dentist do any type work on my teeth because Dr. Victor is simply the best! I recently went to Sunset Dental Studio for the first time and I absolutely loved it.
The staff were super friendly and helpful, Maria thank you for taking care of me once I entered the room. I came in for teeth whitening prior to my wedding and got an understanding of all the post-​treatment to-​dos (which is very important to follow). I landed at LAX in excruciating pain so I made an appointment at Sunset Dental Studio. I was very thankful that they squeezed me in for the last appointment of the day. For starters this office is beautiful and spotless. The staff is extremely professional and they kept in contact even after my appointment. As I walked in to get started Dr Khatchaturian, the owner of the office, asked me what I wanted to watch I looked up and there was a television above my head so that I can watch something as he worked on my root. Another fantastic feature that I’ve never experienced anywhere else was the massaging seat. Dr Khatchaturian at sunset dental is the best dental experience I’ve ever had, he is truly a natural at what he does and I couldn’t believe that I barely felt a thing. I couldn’t have had a better experience.

Dr Khatchaturian and his staff are great, informative, and friendly. They use all of the latest technology. They have massage chairs and television screens for you to relax while they perform their services. They are sensitive to your needs and do excellent work. Best dentist I’ve ever been to.

I always put off going to the dentist. Never again after going to Sunset Dental and being looked after by Sandy and Dr. Victor Khatchaturian. Just a terrific experience all around. Fantastic treatment, customer service and follow up.

I’ve been dreading to go to the dentist!!! Of course because I do not go as much as I should I was bound to have an issue sooner or later especially since I have such a sweet tooth. Sure enough I developed more than a cavity!
I felt a hole in my right bottom tooth and of course I freaked out. I wasn’t feeling pain at the moment, «soooooo» because of that I didn’t bother going to the dentist! Well guess what?! I developed a serious tooth pain where I couldn’t function and for waiting so long my probably cavity turned into a serious root canal followed by a crown! «Womp Womp» I was in so much pain that I am now grateful for all of my functioning teeth. I love each and everyone of them that Now I show my appreciation by brushing, flossing and even cleaning my tongue with the tongue cleaner twice to three times a day. I’ll leave the best for last!
Let me start off by saying Dr. K has such a soft touch. I was skeptical when I started searching for a dentist because of my horrific past experiences but let me tell you! Dr. Khatchturian was hands down such a pleasure from the beginning to the end of my visit and procedure. He kept me informed during the procedure each time he was working on my tooth and made me feel at ease. I wish I would have came sooner.
His office had a welcoming ambiance from the beginning. The smell at the entrance reminds me of the WYNN Hotel in Vegas lol. His office manager «Maria» was such a sweet heart. I think she is the one that handles the «dollar’s and cents». Definitely ask for her she worked out the numbers with me and was very accommodating.

Please use Dr. Victor for all your dental needs! I had a great experience from arrival to my follow up message the next day. The office itself is very sleek and has a spa like feel to it. Loved it!

I was in need of 2 crowns, and while I was there his team noticed it was time for a teeth cleaning… and maybe even a whitening!
The rooms are so beautiful. and my chair. OMG. Back pain? Not anymore! LOL! They have massage chairs!!! :)
Ok, back to Dr. Victor and his angels… so Dr. V examined my teeth, & used an incredible numbing technique I’ve never experienced. (It was awesome)
The whole process was quite quick & painless & the numbing wore off in a couple hours. I was eating my dinner experiencing no pain at all.
I got my teeth cleaned a few weeks later and also did the whitening. So we matched my new tooth color to the soon to arrive crowns. My crowns look AMAZING!!! & it was super quick and painless.
Bottom line… This place is 1000% GREAT. They will keep working with you until you are 1000% satisfied. I recommend Sunset Dental to everyone.
Added bonus… The office is located in one of my favorite parts of Los Angeles, so it’s always a pleasure to stroll down the street after a visit!!!

I couldn’t say enough of thank you to Dr Victor ! First, I had an emergency appointment, it was a bit hard to obtain but then, the nice receptionist call me back and I got my appointment the day after.
I got a cleaning, which was really painless ! I’m french and it was my first visit/​cleaning in USA, and that was soooo easy and without any pain. I always been very scared by cleaning or dentist stuff, because it was always painfull, but now, thanks to all the staff, i’m not !
Third point, Dr Victor looked at my teeth and my gums because I was in pain, he gave me a medical mouthwash and the pain was gone the day after. For my teeth, he saw a little cavity, but told me it was so little that I should wait and see if it’s worst or not. I loved that fact he didn’t jump on a medical act, even if I got a good insurance.
