this place makes you sign electronic signature on an electronic box similar to signing for credit card charges and never give you a hard copy or any copy of what you are signing for. of course if you are sick and in pain you don’t care and they know you don’t care and take advantage of your poor condition. later I found out they charged my insurance company $ 14 000.00 some odd dollars for a shoulder MRI that wasn’t even contrast imaging. something that my insurance got charged only 450 dollars a year before at a different imaging center.
then of course you will have to deal with high dollar copay, rude billing, not caring supervisors and non-​yielding managers. they all say: well you signed for it.

I was referred to this radiology department at this radiology center. I found the information desk to be crowded upon entering and not efficient enough to handle all the influx of medical patients that were coming into register at the Mark Taber radiology department.
I had to wait longer much longer than expected for my testing procedures to be done due to the mix-​up in the confirnation of doctors orders. The MRI test had a dye injection which I am allergic to. However, neither my surgeon or radiology department failed to inform me about these possible risks. I also had to wait much longer than other patients who were scheduled ahead of me due to the mix-​up and the delay in a diagnostic procedure.

I am so familiar with the process here,(I think I am a stock holder, they should really love me here, I should have my own room) that I arrive early and pretend I am FAR, FAR away!
I have had every procedure done here over the years and I think I could be a MRI tech, I have been given good news here as well as devastating news (once after surgery they forgot to put my name in the computer and maintenance found me, cold, thirsty and hungry) IDK, SMH
They really move patients through fast on NYE, I guess the doctors and nurses wanted to Party, Lol
Valet parking is available, the imaging center is located downstairs in the Mark Taper Building, all State of the Art equipment. The Beverly Center is located across the street and there are plenty of places to shop and eat in the area.
No complaints here, at least not this time.
Parking was a breeze, staff was friendly, they all seemed to know what they were doing, restrooms were spotless and no odors, they kept bringing me warm blankets, it was a pleasant experience overall.
That 5 Star equals 10 Stars for me, I HATE HOSPITALS.

This review is for the MRI center at the Mark Taper Imaging Center. Everyone from the front desk to the technicians were very friendly and comforting. I wasn’t looking forward to the dreaded MRI tube as I despise small spaces, but the whole process was quick and easy. I advise to arrive early because there is a registration desk you have to check in with first and fill out forms. My MRI was at 4 and I was out by 4:20, super efficient.
They offer ear plugs and classical music to help distract from the loud noises, and they check up on you via headphones throughout the process, in case you are freaking out =) There is a ball to squeeze if you ever are uncomfortable and need to stop the process.
Parking isn’t that great but you can always park at the Beverly Center structure across the street or valet. Overall I was really dreading the MRI, but was pleasantly surprised by the facility and the process!

Came here for a gastric emptying scan and was served an egg-​white sandwich on wheat bread with grape jelly. The egg whites were radioactive… but I can’t complain about that, since that was what allowed them to watch the food travel through my guts. You can’t taste the radioactive ingredient, but the knowledge that it’s in there makes the food pretty unappetizing.
As for the bread, it was neither toasted nor grilled as I would’ve liked, but it tasted fairly fresh (albeit some generic-​brand processed stuff, not like La Brea Bakery or anything). The problem was that they spread grape jelly on it. Who eats egg sandwiches with jelly on them? Gross! I would have preferred my «oeufs d’atomic» scrambled with wheat toast and jelly on the side.
Service was slow. It took 15 minutes for the technician to bring my sandwich to me, and in the interim I was not offered a beverage (nor was I allowed to consume one for the previous 12 hours). The sandwich arrived on a flimsy Styrofoam tray and instead of a napkin I was given a blue paper bib like the kind the dentist puts on you.
And the ambience? Sterile. No one likes to dine in a darkened exam room with doctors and nurses constantly walking by and a biohazard trash can in plain view.
Usually, such an experience would warrant only 2 stars, but I’m giving this place 4 stars because of the unique «dinner theater» aspect. My bed was positioned in such a way that I could see the tech’s computer screen — so after eating my breakfast, I got to WATCH my breakfast moving through my GI tract. Now THAT’s entertainment.
Nevertheless, I won’t be coming back… unless my gastroenterologist makes me.

I have had more imaging than I can recall at Cedars-Sinai’s S. Mark Taper imaging center (MRI’s, ultrasound, mammograms, x-​rays), but every at every visit I have been blown away by the world-​class courtesy, care, expertise, and professionalism of the staff that I have come into contact with: schedulers, check-​in, front desk support, and radiology technicians. Clearly, this is not an accident. The standards at Cedars are exceptional, and I have absolute trust and confidence in the process when I have imaging performed here.
With an imaging appointment, there is a valet parking option at the front and validated parking for the multi-​level lot across the street. There are always lots of good magazines to peruse in the spacious and light-​filled lobby while you wait for your appointment, and you can’t miss the metallic Frank Gehry sculpture at the outside corner of the building.

Stressed out before even entering the building… arrived at the address on Gracie Fields Dr. where there’s no street parking and the closest parking entrances say EMERGENCY only.
Was twenty minutes late, circling the blocks around the facility looking for parking less than a mile from the address. Finally got back to the street address and a valet guy appeared (no sight of him the first couple of times around the block) and happily told me it’s $ 10. for valet parking. He said it was $ 5. down the street (half mile walk at least). Just valeted and arrived late inside. From then on it was smooth and efficient although the three people who assisted me asked for my birth date multiple times. Nightmare experience, parking.

Worst experience I’ve ever had with an imaging center. My Cedars-​Sinai physician insisted I go to this facility although I live a ways away. I was on right on time at the time they told me to arrive, filled out some paperwork, went into the second waiting room, and was told I would have to wait another hour for my MRI. They then said they couldn’t find me in the system and would have to wait another 40 minutes for a machine. They ended up sending me across the street to another wing where they had an available machine. Finally I had the MRI 2 hours after I arrived after driving 2 hours through terrible LA traffic to get to the facility. The MRI took twice as long as they told me it would. The place seemed very disorganized and unprofessional. I expected much better from Cedars-​Sinai.

I had my first MRI here two weeks ago. I was very nervous because I have claustrophobia and general anxiety. This was nowhere near as scary as I was expecting. The people behind the desk in the waiting area for the MRI were great. They could tell I was nervous and chatted with me about their own MRI experiences. Next I was brought into a dressing room and given two hospital gowns to wear and a key to a locker to lock up my regular clothes and purse. The actual MRI tube was much wider than I expected. There is a mirror above you that allows you to maintain visual contact with the tech when he’s at his control station. My MRI was for my brain, and I was only in the tube up to about my waist, so if I looked down I could see out through the end of the tube. Having the mirror and being able to peak out through the bottom opening helped immensely in not feeling claustrophobic. I had been imagining a much more coffin like tube. The whole procedure with and without contrast lasted about 30 min. They have pandora and asked what kind of music I wanted to listen to. They provided earplugs as well as earphones for the music. These did a great job of reducing the banging of the MRI machine taking pictures to gentle white noise. I was pretty anxious about this experience, but ended up so relaxed that I was almost drifting off to sleep by the end of the procedure. If you need to get an MRI, I would definitely recommend getting it here.

I’ve had to come here several times for X-​Rays, and if I had my way, this would always be my go-​to imaging center. It’s bright, clean, patient-​centered and welcoming. The techs have always been friendly. I suppose wait times and such really depend on the time of day you hit them and what you’re there for, but for chest X-​Rays I’ve been in and out of there in 30 minutes or so. And if you fill out a HIPAA form and bring it to the records office, they send you a CD with your images and a copy of the radiologist’s interpretation very quickly; no questions asked. Overall, they seem to be well-​run and drama free.

The greeters here are nice and helpful. They have $ 10 valet parking.
They didn’t have the correct paperwork from my doctor when I showed up, fasting, for my HIDA scan. How did they not catch this before I got here? Very unprofessional, disappointing.
Scary that we trust our health and bodies to folks who can’t even keep paperwork together.

I usually love Cedar Sinai. When I arrived on time for my appointment they told me that I would have to wait a half hour. A walk in came to the counter after me and was told they would be seen in an hour. It seems as though they are on a first come first serve basis which makes having an appointment meaningless. Thank you for the worst service I’ve ever received at any Cedar Sinai affiliate.

I have had an X-​ray and a mammogram here and insist it is THE place to go.
Make an appointment. Show up for admissions paperwork on time when requested and in my experience the wait time is nothing. Everyone is courteous and efficient and Vanh Po made my mammo the least annoying I can imagine. They even have a locker and a changing room for your belongings. Park on level 2 at the Beverly Center on the San Vicente side and walk across the street. Easy peasy and about as pleasant as these things get. Forget Pink Lotus, Ladies, this is the way to go!

Outstanding facility… Went in for a CT scan and was treated with friendly, professional staff every step of the way (and fast too). If your insurance company tries to convince you to go someplace else because it might be less expensive, just know that you get what you pay for every time! When it comes to your health, I’d prefer a 5 star facility and doctors reading my scans and helping with the diagnosis.

I didn’t except for the imaging center to be so huge! You’d think the main entrance & facility of Cedars would operate more like the imaging center.
The foyer has lots of natural light, is as inviting as a medical plaza can be, with 3 large, open areas to sit and wait.
Can’t miss the check in desk, that’s where you’ll get started when you have an appointment. After they call your name you’ll be lead to a registration desk, given an i.d. band then off to whatever kind of imagining need that brought you here– ultrasound, mri, etc.
The 2^nd waiting room has coffee and water while you wait for your technician.
Equipment used at Taper is state-​of-​the-​art and results for our visit were entered into the system immediately, results given by doctor before we got home.
Valet parking is available for $ 10, otherwise the closest lot is p-​4, $ 5 with validation at check-​in.

In high school there was the candygram; when you’re a woman, and you turn 40, you get something even better, the mammogram. Or as the pros call it, «the mamm,» yes, ma’am.
You haven’t lived until you’ve had your breasts squeezed so hard you just know they will never ever be the same. Not quite pancakes, but scones, certainly. Kinda puts Jeff Fleischman’s heart-​shaped chocolates to shame.
If you’re going to be so lucky to have this procedure done, I’d suggest doing it at the S Mark Taper Foundation Imagine Center. They really do make an otherwise squishy situation as painless and positive as possible.
Two weeks ago I made an appointment for a 7:25 check-​in. This morning at 6:30, slightly hung over, I wanted to kick myself, but I had figured it was gonna take an hour, and I didn’t want to be late for work.
They tell you to park across the street at the Beverly Center. Super easy. Much better than looking for a meter – they do have a valet, but just because I’m 40 doesn’t mean I’m lazy (actually, I’m more cheap than lazy).
So I walk through the door at 7:20. Let them know I’m there. At 7:25, the registration man calls me. I give a few autographs and go over my info. Then I sit in the waiting room eagerly anticipating the touch of the contraption that will crush me like no other.
I barely got through one page of my book (I couldn’t concentrate anyway), when I was called back to change. The dressing gowns are a worn, soft cotton, with a side tie. Very vintage. You don’t have to compromise style when in the 90 210. (If I was a person who took pictures, I totally would have taken a picture.) At 7:32, my right breast was clasped. By 7:37 I was changing back into my own, less cute, blouse.
The technician who did the xrays was warm, not just her disposition, but her hands, too. She was super quick, so as much as you do feel like you’re going to pop, that only lasts for three to five seconds at a time.
I was in my car at 7:43. I paid one dollar for parking. I was early to work. Too early.

Wish all my medical appointments were like this one. I am pretty sure that they strap their employees to chairs, and make them watch hours of customer service videos because the staff here is some of most courteous and professional people I have ever encountered.
Everything is very personalized; you are well taken care of. You check in, and it looks like a hotel reception desk. Your name is called and you are escorted to a desk and you fill out your information, etc. Then off to the waiting room, with a coffee and tea station; not that I could of had any because of the CT scan but still. My tech was Candice and she was perfect. So nice and welcoming. Very honest as well, because she tipped me off on which barium drink was the worst tasting, but then again when does barium ever taste good. My tech who did the scan, Llyod was awesome as well.
Okay this was meant to be a quick review but I can’t say enough good things about this place. I have had some pretty bad experiences with doctors and professionals and I work in customer service myself. I rarely see people be this professional. From check in, to the techs, nurses, (heck even security!) everyone just made the experience pleasant. Everyone had a smile for you, and a kind word. When you have to have procedures done (outside of normal routine things like blood work) you want that.
