Hollywood Acting Workshop – Acting Class & Acting School

Alright, so I’ve been in Los Angeles for four years and this was the first place I decided to give a shot. If you’re a beginner or looking to gain more confidence in front of the camera then I highly recommend you come here!
I took two on-​camera Audition Technique classes back to back. My most recent instructor was Ryan Glasgow! A talent manager who also coaches an Audition Therapy class. Ryan is hilarious and fun to be around first and foremost. Secondly, he has so much valuable experience from being an agent then moving into being a manager that he shares in class! The material that he chooses is spot on and so is his critique. I’ve witnessed myself grow with every passing class, and his techniques has helped so much with my nervous energy.
Also, Silvana is very sweet and always gets back to me within a timely manner when I have questions. Love this place!

I really like the format of Hollywood Acting Workshop. Real managers and agents that are really looking for talent.
I have been to a few workshops here and they don’t bring in the same agents and managers every time.
Highly recommended for actors at all stages of their career.

Heard a lot about this place it seems cool!

These workshops are great! The first time I did one, it wasn’t a good experience due to an issue with the actor I was paired with. However, I contacted the owner and she had me come to the next workshop for free to make up for it! Of course there is no promise of getting an agent/​manager, but it’s a great way to show off your work. Also, the discussion afterward is very helpful and a great learning experience!

I really love the setup of the classes, they took the first half of the the class, and the students perform their scenes without any interruption or adjustments. Then they took the second-​half into the classroom. I really enjoyed this format because it gave everyone less time to watch other people’s scenes and more time to prepare… if you were in the second half. The quality of managers that the brought was very high and that was very exciting. Afterwards they had a 30 minute question-​and-​answer and answer session which I found very informative.

I’m a beginner on my acting journey and did a lot of research before committing to a school. I initially attended Michael Bucklin’s class and found it fun and informative. He also focuses on what it is like being in the industry and the proper audition techniques.
I’m currently wrapping up Ryan Glasgow’s class and he provides a wealth of information while being hilarious. He provides you with the tools you need to be a better actor and is very constructive.
Both instructors are incredible and I highly recommend them. Hollywood Acting Workshop is a great place for beginners and professionals. The staff is helpful, kind and always provide amazing opportunities for previous students if you sign up for their emails.

Best showcase for actors to meet some of the best agents & managers in the bizz. It was super informative on so many levels. Silvana, who runs the show there is amazing. Super organized and keeps everything running smoothly. Cake topping is you get to see some good work from fellow actors & meet the best of the best. Highly recommend it!

I love Hollywood Acting workshop. I have taken a few workshops here and met my first commercial agent with Media Artists Group by taking one of there workshops. They have a lot of great agents come in and its a great workspace to hone your craft and perform for others. Definitely recommended.

Hollywood Acting Workshop did not waste my time! (Thank God, lol) My experience in their workshops was great and not full of fluff. Come in, DO THE WORK, and seek the ANSWERS to the industry questions that you have. There are various workshops for the entire gradient of talent levels. Weather you’re a beginner or a more seasoned actor, BE READY. Because the panels that Hollywood Acting Workshop assembles are on point.

I have attended several showcases at the Hollywood acting workshop. I have meet some incredible people and have had the opportunity of performing and networking with the top agents in la along with great feed back. If you are trying to meet agents and sign with the top agencies you should definitely attend one if these workshops.

Agents and managers not responding to the typical submissions? Face it, the odds of them even opening up your email/​postage are slim to none. Showcases are a blessing, a secret in to the world of what would be almost unaccessible, that actors really need to take advantage of. The opportunity to be seen in person by people who could change your life, what could be better? Hollywood Acting Workshop opens the door and gives you this opportunity by bringing in extremely reputable agents and managers, and quite frankly, at an affordable price too. Silvana, who runs the whole gig, is extremely nice and professional, and makes the entire process easy.
Honestly, if you’re struggling for representation and you know if you just had that one chance to show them what you got, what on earth are you waiting for?

The showcases at the Hollywood Acting Workshop are awesome! I’ve attended two so far — one for theatrical agents and one for managers — and have found them to be organized, informative, and incredibly professional.
If you’re struggling to find representation, these workshops are a no-​brainer. Not only do they provide actors with the opportunity to perform in front of legitimate agents and managers, the Q&A’s are filled with helpful tips and insights on how to advance your acting career!

In the past month I have attended three of the showcases with the Hollywood Acting Workshop (HAW), and each showcase a different division (theatrical agent, commercial agent, and manager). It has been so illuminating and informative for me as an actor to not only participate and experience each showcase but also to observe the different energy in each panel of agents/​managers. What a valuable asset and tool as a working actor to have access to these amazing individuals, receive direct advice, contact info, and follow-​up guidance! Even got the most amazing pep talk from Craig Holzberg (what a sweetheart! Thank you, Craig!) to us actors, motivating us in our developmental stage and reminding us to keep showing up for ourselves in these events.
But biggest shout out goes to Silvana for tirelessly hosting these events in such a professional, warm, and prepared manner. I adored working with her, look forward to seeing her again in the future, and appreciated the organization and arrangement of all three events.

The Hollywood Acting Workshop gives actor the opportunity to meet agents and managers that otherwise may be impossible to connect with unless you have a referral. What I liked best is the first time I went to a commercial agent workshop they were well organized. They gave you a chance to either Dona cold read or rehearsed. They had plenty of sides to choose from. They also separated us into two groups which was nice if for some reason you needed more time to read over your cold-​read sides.
I was fortunate to also be offered a complimentary class that weekend with Theatrical managers. So basically I got two for the price of one. That’s a big plus for me.
I’d recommend this place for sure.

I tell people all the time, it’s a different day from what it use to be in regards to how you book work, get agents’ & managers’ attention, get casting directors familiar with your work, etc. Some of my best work on my resume has come from attending workshops.
When it comes to workshops, of all the ones I attend, I have to say Hollywood Acting Workshop has the largest variety of them all! I’m not just talking from a casting director workshop standpoint, but from an agent/​manager workshop standpoint as well.
This is really good for us actors when we don’t feel we’re being repped adequately with our current team of reps. Hollywood Acting Workshop gives you SEVERAL opportunities throughout the year to see SEVERAL reps to help you keep the ball rolling or to GET the ball rolling in your career.

I was genuinely impressed with the agent/​manager showcases I attended at Hollywood Acting Workshop. The agents in particular were good mid-​level agents including some company owners. I cannot speak for the rate of success, as in how many actors get meetings out of these workshops, but the agents and managers were upfront and offered great information.
The environment is professional. The level of acting really varies, there are some people there who have a lot of skill and there are lots of beginners as well. The actor ages vary, so have no fear if you’re an older actor looking for a first time rep or even a new one.
If you treat the experience for what it is — an opportunity to be seen by an agent or casting director, and you do your follow up and maintain the relationship, I’m confident this studio could lead to some great contacts for you.
I also walked away with some great actor connections, and you never know where your next job is coming from. I always appreciate meeting great people who are fighting the good fight in LA!
