Miss Alex for sure, but the new guy Igor is very eager to make a good name for himself and I had a great experience this first time. Definitely going to give him a second shot.

Armen was my angel this morning! Last night, I was pulled over for a taillight being out and then ticketed for being late on my smog inspection, so the next morning I was desperate to get a few things taken care of without having to take a ton of time off work. I just happened to pull into Affordable Auto Services because it was on my way to my office — Armen immediately came out to greet me, fixed my taillight right on the spot (in less than 3 minutes) for $ 10 and offered to help me find a few recommendations for smog inspections that were affordable. He told me I could come back the next day to pay because I didn’t have cash on me. He also looked at another issue with my car and told me that I would be fine driving on it and that it wasn’t a serious fix (instead of insisting that I had to get it fixed so he could be paid $$).
It was a quick, honest, and lovely experience!

The owner, Igor, is unprofessional, belligerent and has zero knowledge on how to diagnose issues with your car. He will talk you ear off on totally unrelated topics and waste your time.
Igor may tell you that he will find the best deal for parts but that is just his ploy to get you in his shop. He has only one mechanic who misdiagnosed an issue with my friend’s car. Bottom line is: money and time was spent and the issue wasn’t even fixed!
If you have an issue with your car go somewhere unless you like your time and money wasted. If you like your time and money wasted then go here.

I had great service on my car. It was well done, fast and as the name says, affordable

This place is really shady and it’s much better to take your car for service else where.
First of all, when you call the center, a Russian man picks up the phone and I ask to speak to Igor. He says, «Who is this?!» I was like, well I just need to speak with him regarding service. He said it depends what your calling for! It was strange… as if he is running two separate businesses. My car was previously taken there a month ago which is a 350z, and he was like ohhh yeah I remember that nice 300s. I was like what?! Do you even know your cars? Let alone working on them?
Anyways, he will ramble off your ear saying he will give you the best discount and the deal is only for today, so you must act quick. I was trying to tell him that the car was brought into him a month ago and is not fixed correctly, so I asked him to fix it, especially since I’ve already paid. I had the receipt and everything! He was trying to run me a new estimate of a «deal» and would not listen to me. It was such a waste of time and money. This place is just a BIG SCAM!
Please save your time and money, and for the sake of your car go some place else.

This place used to be great when Alex was there. I took my VW Passat here for years but now that Alex is gone, it’s poor. I took my car in on a Friday morning at 8:45am to have the oil pan replaced, it was cracked and all the oil leaked out overnight. The mechanic was there but Igor was not and so the shop was closed. The sign stated it opened at 8am. Long story short, Friday at 5pm, car not ready. Saturday at 2pm, car not ready, Sunday, closed. Monday, Igor said he might have it done by 5pm, I said «Forget it, I’ll come pick it up right now, don’t touch it, I’m taking it somewhere else». Apparently he was having trouble getting the pan. As a customer, I don’t care. He told me he would have it done by 2:30, he promised, and it was. I picked it up and he gave me a discount of 65 dollars, total was $ 385. He told me I needed to pay in cash, I have been using my credit card there for years, guess that’s not an option anymore. He wasn’t there when I picked it up. Igor is very nice and polite but this was the second time I took my car there since Alex left and it was a problem both times. I won’t be back, which stinks because Alex was my go-​to guy for repairs.

Once my car’s warranty expired, I knew I had to come back to Affordable WH Auto Service. The place has been year for years and the staff is always nice, welcoming and are very honest with what repairs your vehicle needs. I was surprised to know Alex had moved on and no longer owned the place– but Igor is now in charge and he was so quick, knowledgeable and gave 115% of great customer service. His mother greeted me in the morning and even gave me a Christmas card as I left! Trust Igor and his team to get your car fixed.

Great and affordable service. Igor is such a nice guy and I wouldn’t trust my car with anyone else. Not only do they offer quality service, they are just in the neighborhood. Pay them a visit you won’t regret it.

The owner of this Auto Repair, Igor, at first seems nice and helpful, that’s until I sent my car to his shop to be repaired. I asked him for an estimate before he started working on the car, he never gave me, he took upon himself to do a diagnostic for $ 200 which he never told me before. Every time I would call him asking about the car he had found another problem and instead of checking with me if I want him to repair the problem and asked if I can afford to pay, he would do the repair then tell me its another $ 125 or another $ 200.
He kept my car for 3 days, then the morning I was going to pick up the car he tells me my battery was burned so without asking me he put another one and charges me $ 140, and he made me pay him cash.
After I picked up the car I took the old battery to «Auto Zone» they charged the battery overnight and tested, the battery was fine, NOT BURNED, so Igor lied to me just to sell a battery.
Also when I picked up the car there was a noise that was not there before I gave him the car, so I took to another mechanic and he said the fan was put upside down and was hitting the radiator so I had to pay the other mechanic $ 300 to repair the mistake Igor made. I didn’t want to take back to Igor because he is a liar and I can’t trust him. Igor is NOT to be TRUSTED.
I will NEVER use him again, and you shouldn’t either.

I have not been here since Alex left, but he was amazing! I went to him for years for a variety of issues and he was always kind, helpful and honest. He once gave me a ride back to my apartment so I didn’t have to hang around waiting for my car to be fixed. I am so, so sad he is gone and hope he opens another garage because I will go there, no matter where the location may be. I’m hesitant to go here now that Alex is gone. I hope someone finds out where he is because he was a gem.

I always get my car repaired here because they are very knowledgeable and it’s actually affordable. Igor really knows what he’s talking, about and he does a really good job!

Took my car to Affordable Auto Service because it’s close to my apartment and I didn’t know where else to go. Igor sent a mechanic to my house to look at the car because I couldn’t start it. He managed to get it to the shop and diagnose the problem, then found me a good price on a new alternator and battery.
Since then the car has run great. And when something small went wrong with my brake lights, I brought it back and he fixed it for free. I wholeheartedly recommend Igor and Affordable Auto Service for all your auto needs.

I was hopeful that the new owners of Affordable would be as good as the old. I’ve given them several chances, feeling as if it might just take time for the transition. It’s useless. Run from this place! The car window they fixed in December broke within two weeks. I went back, they «fixed» it and it broke again. The last time I went in, they not only were resistant to taking responsibility for fixing it, they suggested that perhaps there might be an electrical problem. In addition they wanted to keep the car until the next day. [It was Saturday, so this meant Monday.] I drove off, called a mobile auto window repair guy, who came out and fixed the window in about 45 minutes. He had to replace the brackets, after Affordable had assured me that they were installing new ones the first time. Although I had already spent over $ 300 on the window I was happy to pay the additional $ 100 to be rid of this place forever. I hate writing this, but I feel a responsibility to other consumers, especially since my first entry from two years ago was so glowing.

I brought my car last week after I had it towed all the way from Fallbrook, they got my car in right away. I ended up needing the transmission overhauled and it was going to be pricy so I was unsure how soon I could get payment. After speaking with Igor he not only was able to bring down the price but agree to hold it on the lot without extra charge till I got back from a mini vacation.
When I went to pick up my car this morning, they had fixed my broken window and door free of charge.
Car drives great. Looks like they even cleaned it. I’d definitely recommend this place.

i’m giving the five stars to alex, but yes, sadly, he is gone. i rolled into affordable auto yesterday, and some weirdo came out and was obviously DRUNK (it was 10 AM) and started leering at me/​pawing me and didn’t give a shit about my car! i could NOT believe it. it was so unprofessional, i literally told the clown to stop pawing me! i’m soooo bummed. alex is the best. always took such good care of my car! was honest, generous, and sweet. this creep actually had the nerve to talk some smack about alex which PISSED me off– i defended alex and got the hell out of there. such a bummer. does anyone know alex’s last name? i want to find him on facebook and see if he’s going to open another shop elsewhere? :(

Alex is no longer at Affordable. As far as I know, he owned the shop. Have no idea where these new guys came from, but they are useless. They jerked me around and refused to diagnose my problem for days and when they finally gave me something, it was wrong. Steer clear of this shop.

Alex really helped us with our BMW. He was really patient and explained everything to me, and was VERY reasonably priced! Highly reccomend him!

This place is amazing ! I met Alex when in despair, my car broke down near his shop and he was passing by and helped push my car to his shop. He told me the price and when I told him I had a shop that was cheaper, he insisted I take it over there and I would see this was not the case. He was right. At all times he was honest, open and always is clear about what he is giving you. Since that incident a couple years ago, I’ve been there multiple times. He even gave me a free ipod radio adaptor when he knew I was considering a radio change to fit ipods. Since going to him, my car runs great, and he never tries to over sell me things I don’t need. I have recommended him to friends, and until now everyone is happy that this shop is around.
