I had a great experience with these guys. For a few months, my car had sounded like it was going to fall apart every time I hit a bump – this awful metallic banging sound – and the TWO Toyota repair places I had check it out kept telling me that nothing was wrong. I decided to try Lou’s on a whim, and not only did he immediately identify the problem (which was major, by the way), he fixed it that day and charged a fraction of what the big places do. Excellent all around.

I have been going to them for 12 years. Their service has always been perfect, right prices and they have a great dog. They never do anything you don’t absolutely need.

$ 1600 later and the check engine light’s still on. A friend turned us on to another mechanic, who discovered that Lou’s stripped the bolts on the catalytic converter they installed, and on the manifold pipe it’s connected to. The new mech had to machine the parts to make ‘em useable.
Worse, Lou’s left us with an exhaust leak because they couldn’t get the pipes to fit together. My wife was driving around with an exhaust leak!
Stay away from this place. Or just go for little things like oil change, etc. Their charming demeanor took me, hook, line and sinker!
