Tracing its origins from 1972 when the Cardona Family made the decision to leave Cali, Colombia. Carmen Cardona was a successful business woman in Colombia. Whom had an American Dream for her children.. These were hard times, but the family was now in a country filled with limitless opportunities and their dream for a better future became more real as the years passed. As both Mr. and Mrs. Cardona were trying to make means, both struggled with employment. Carmen mastered the gift of cooking, having a wonderful passion for cooking for friends and family. Soon neighbors were purchasing. Carmen’s business grew a little more than expected in a blink of an eye and when their home could no longer accommodate the increased demand. She opened a little 500-square foot business using heat lamps and self-serve and sold imported food from Colombia on Wilshire Blvd, in the area of Los Angeles.
