2 weeks ago we went to Norm Reeves to buy a car. We had a car to trade in but it was not paid off. Like all salesmen they tell you what you want to hear and so they did. They guaranteed our old car would be paid off, so we took the new one and 2 weeks later they call us from our old dealer to tell us we’re late on our payment. Norm reeves had made us believe they were going to pay off our old car turns out they didn’t! We go back to the dealer and now they say your loan for the new car didnt get approved. Well way to go Norm Reeves, if we don’t go to your dealer who knows when we would have found out about this.
If you are trying to buy a car you might want to consider another dealer where they will at least be honest with you!

Sunday afternoon March 6, 2016 I accompanied my friend to buy a car at this dealership since I have knowledge on how this extensive process goes. First and foremost a buyer usually test drives the car before they actually sign and buy it. The salesman only allowed my friend to go half way around the lot. He’s excuse was the gas tank was empty! He went to look for gas and said they were out. So with that said would that mean that if I wanted to buy that car I couldn’t because they are out of gas? do I have to bring my own gas to test drive a car? well apparently you do!
He ran her credit and told her she couldn’t afford the car she she wanted at the payments she wanted. He lastly said your not going to find it anywhere. I told her lets get out of here and go somewhere else, a good salesman gives you alternative options and/​or advice. If he would have let us talk and get more information he would have known that she was already bank approved for 2.5% and ready to buy that car that day. We ended up going to a different dealership and she bought the car the same day.
The funny thing is he did text her pretty please call me back. No way was I letting her go back there.

Went to purchase a 2016 Honda civic at this Honda dealership for the first time and I got to say it was a wonderful experience our sales consultant shahnaz was ever more helpful and tentative with our every need weather a price negotiation or looking for that specific color for the car that we wanted and she was determine to get the car that we were looking for and didn’t stop till we leave that place happy and satisfied so if anyone is reading this I would recommend to go to her with any car purchase needs
Lastly our financial manager john vandervort was ever more helpful explain the warranty and car detail with every single detail making nothing is left out and that he made sure we were taking care of I would go to him next time for any financial question and concern because as both shahnaz and john said they really do take care of their customer and that’s no joke I think I will be going there for any future Honda purchases

I went in to purchase my Dream car yesterday and was helped out by Manuel Alonso. I had the best experience being a first time buyer and buying the car of my dreams. I purchased a 2016 Honda Accord LX. Drive it if the lot with 19 miles. I an truly a happy camper and I’m in love with my new baby. Manuel is patient and very knowledgeable about every single car on that lot. His expertise was remarkable and he is truly a Helpful Honda Guy. He is the go to sales rep at West Covina. I was nervous about my first car purchase experience, but Rudy M was Great, made everything simple and to the point. everyone was friendly which is always important to me .

This is my 3^rd time buying a car (2 different dealerships prior) and I have to say THIS TIME was the best deal out of the 3. Though, I feel like I never know if I’m really getting a good deal from any car dealership. LOL.
RESEARCH beforehand & AT the dealership, so bring your Google with you. Our finance manager, JOSH, and I even Googled together about the car alarm because I wasn’t very educated on it.
Naturally, CAR DEALERSHIPS WANT TO MAKE MONEY so they WILL try to get as much added on as possible. Yes, it’s evil. BUT you CAN SAY NO (I believe in you).
RESEARCH on all the things you HAVE to pay for:
Taxes 9% in CA, License & Registration, Destination fee, Documentation fees $ 80
vs the OPTIONAL things:
GAP contract, Bumper to Bumper coverage, Alarm systems
However, my experience with RICHARD YIM was a good one. FAIRest initial quote.
Took ~6 hrs but YOU NEED TO SPEND A LONG TIME AT THE DEALERSHIP to make your decisions so you don’t feel scammed, cheated, or unhappy at the end.
Overall, great experience. Would come back to RICHARD YIM in the future.

Dealers should not run credit checks of any kind when a customer is bringing in their own financing. If the sale is taking place on a Sunday where the financing bank is closed and that concerns the dealership for safety reasons or any other reason then the sale should reconvene to the following business day. This is the only con I can think of in regards to my purchase experience with Norm Reeves. There should have not been any form of credit check ran to take any ding to my credit for the very reason that I was NOT 100% financing through Honda. Also it took my bank to explain to me that in the contract it states that if I didn’t return the cashier’s check to Norm Reeves within 7 days they would effectively process my purchase through their own form of financing which is why they ran my credit. I will now further inform anyone I know of this financing process and the omission of information Norm Reeves left out during the process to people I know.
My bank stated to me that I needed no credit checks when we prepared financing, and I should have listened when I was at the dealership and the salesman quickly started filling out a credit app. Our salesman didn’t even ask or state what he was doing, I had to call him out on it when I noticed on his monitor.
Other than that, Norm Reeves did a great job upholding the negotiations I had made online and over the phone down to the very dollar. The purchase terms were clearly laid out and my wife and I were happy with that process.
If it weren’t for that pointless credit check process (I had already financed the car through my credit union) this would have easily been a 5 star review. My advice to Unilocalers is stick to the directions your financial advisor gives you, if the dealership wants to waver for whatever reason (The salesman said it was because of ⁹⁄₁₁ that he had to run credit on everyone which is legally not true, that is already done at your bank) then walk out and let them know you’ll continue the purchase another day unless they agree to your terms.

Came in about two weeks ago to get my old weather stripping removed and the new one put on.
I bought the stripping straight from Honda which cost me roughly $ 230.
And $ 115 to install.
I had Honda of West Covina take the old one off and put the new one on. The job shouldn’t take any longer then 2 hours. But of course I understand they are running a business and have other cars to service. In total it took them 4 hours to complete.
The reason I give them two stars is…
1 for the job because they did a good job.
And 1 star because the workers were kind.
They did not call to let me know the car was finished. So I called around 330 to ask if it was ready, to which the lady responded that she will call me back to check with the person fixing the car.
I had no time to wait for her. So I decided to swing by and see if it was ready. I didn’t mind waiting in the lobby.
As I pull up I see my car all finished. As I walk up the lady says «oh your car is finished.»
Obviously!
The gentlemen then brings my car. I thank him and drive off.
As I get in the car I notice a blue item on my windshield. I decide to wait till I get home to see what it is.
After returning home I notice they left a tool on my windshield.
The reason for the lack of stars.
This is NOT the first time a tool has been left ON or IN one of the cars I brought in to be fixed.
About two years ago my grandpa found a wrench inside the hood of the car.
HONEST TO GOD!
I should have posted that instance instead.
But here is the proof!

If you want to engage in the most brutal car buying experience possible, partake in typical shady «car salesman tactics», be given the run around, while being treated like an idiot who didn’t do their research, I urge you to come to Norm Reeves Honda Superstore West Covina. I promise you will leave nothing short of frustrated and annoyed and all the stereotypes of car salesman and the car buying process will be a harsh reality.
The individual we had the pleasure of playing these games with was Faustino «Tino» Lozano. He is completely unreliable and anything that comes out of his mouth should be taken with a grain of salt. One of his many «car salesman tactics» he used on us was when he called my dad on the phone the morning after we visited the dealership to offer a price. My dad agreed and we got in the car to sign the papers and deliver the check. Tino promised he had the car and that he would wait for us to arrive. The dealership was almost 40 minutes from our house and on the way to the dealership Tino called to say «we just sold the car you wanted 15 minutes ago.»
The funny part is my dad was on the phone with him 15 minutes prior making offers and promises he couldn’t keep.
I ended up getting the same exact car from a different dealership and was lucky enough to deal with the most professional salesman who made the process completely stress free. If you are in the market for a new Honda, skip of Norm Reeves Honda Superstore West Covina and go to a different dealership. You will save A LOT of time and anguish.
