Toby’s K-9 Kamp

My dog has been going to Toby’s for 2 ½ years, ever since he was 4 months old. He loves it! Pulls me through the door to get in there. He comes home happy and exhausted. He loves the other dogs. The staff is great, all of them. They really got to know know his personality. I love all the pictures and videos posted on Facebook almost daily. My favorite is all of the dogs howling with the firehouse siren. What a fun place to be.

We’ve been taking our dog, Gus, to Toby’s since he was a puppy. At first he was very timid, but after being around the other dogs he’s grown into a wonderful, social pet. That’s all due to John and his remarkable staff. They truly love the dogs and take wonderful care of them.

I am writing this review because I unfortunately had to leave Tobys K-​9 Kamp due to location. If I lived closer my dog would be there! My dog Holly always came home exhausted and clean! Not smelly or anxious. The owner as well as the staff took a direct interest in each dog! The facility was immaculate and stimulating for all dog types.
We miss you terribly!!!

Giselle loved Toby’s. Sadly we could not keep her. The staff at Toby’s helped us find an awesome new family for her and we get regular updates. I’m forever grateful for the staff and look forward to using their services in the future!

I’ve been taking our dog here for over a year. He is super excited every time we pull out and seems really happy every time my husband or I go to get him. The girls that work there are so cute and pleasant. As far as care goes, my dog loves it. The reason for the 3 star rating is that we’ve been rubbed the wrong way by the owner a bit. A little arrogant/​pompus. That’s not to say that he mistreats the dogs, that couldn’t be further from the truth. I really believe he loves the animals. My husband and I thought it was us just getting a bad read but a friend got the same vibe. Not trying to talk smack on him, just writing an honest review. Our dog continues to go there and loves the new location.

I’ve been taking my dog to Toby’s for 5 years — basically since it opened. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. John and his staff take such good care of all the dogs there and honestly treat them like their own. They also aren’t afraid to make tough decisions to keep the dogs safe. If a dog doesn’t get along with another one that comes on a certain day they aren’t afraid to put some rules around it. As with any other daycare they «screen» all new dogs before they are allowed to come.
They have a covered open space in the back and in the summer time fill a baby pool so that dogs can play in the water. The space is also separated so if needed big and smaller dogs can be separated. They will also bathe and groom (clip nails etc) for nominal fees. They have dog of the month and celebrate their birthday’s…what more can you ask for?!

We’ve been going to Toby’s K-​9 Kamp for 5 years. We had previously gone to Canine Creature Comforts and Karen’s K-​9. Both are good places but like Toby’s much better. Pretty convenient off 202 in West Chester. Easy to drop off and pick up. John McManus the owner is great and so is his staff. They really love what they do and they treat our dogs like their own. We had 2 and we fostering a third and John discounted us to allow the third to come so it could get socialized (she was a puppy back then). We wound up keeping her and all go to Toby’s each week. We recently moved further away from Toby’s but still drive out of the way because we like the place so much.

Disregard that bad review. It’s obviously from a disgruntled employee. I’ve been bringing my one dog here since it opened and now I bring my other dog. John and his staff truly love dogs. They give the dogs a lot of personal attention. They know every single dog and their personalities. I love that the dogs are indoors but have a outdoor potty yard. Other daycares are either strictly outdoors or indoors with no outdoor potty place. Since the place is is an industrial park they are able to open the bay doors and get lots of fresh air but still have the safety of being indoors.

I first went to Toby’s K9 Kamp when it first opened because it was five minutes from my apartment and it was on my way to work. My dog LOVED going there. I trained him to wait in the back seat until I hooked his leash to his collar. He always waited in the car until I gave him the «okay» to get out. Well, not when we went to Toby’s! He would jump out of the car as soon as I opened the back car door. He would sprint to the door of Toby’s. The only reason that I stopped going is I bought a house near my job. I’m sure my dog misses going here!
