Magnus Karate, located within ACAC Fitness & Wellness Centers, has been teaching the art of Tang Soo Do to students in and around West Chester, PA since 2010. Tang Soo Do is a traditional form of Korean Karate derived from multiple styles of martial arts. It is a composite style with techniques derived from Okinawa, Japan, China, and Korea. Tang Soo Do is a method of empty hand and foot fighting based on the scientific use of the body in self defense. The practice of Hyung (Forms/​Kata) and practical self defense application is essential to training in Tang Soo Do (a form of Karate-​Do) and is a prime focus of Magnus Karate. History

Established in 2010.

Magnus Karate was established in March of 2010 by Master Mike Pannulla. Housed within ACAC Fitness and Wellness, Magnus Karate is an official prorgram of ACAC. Classes are open to members and non-​members.

Currently Master Pannulla holds the rank of 4th Degree Black Belt in the Traditional Korean Karate style of Tang Soo Do. Master Pannulla has been a passionate and dedicated student of the art for sixteen years under the direction of his teacher and mentor, Sa Bom Nim John McManus.

For the last nine years, Master Pannulla has served as Assistant Instructor under Master McManus in Coatesville, PA, where his range of experience includes working with children, pre-​teens, and adults of all ages. Master Pannulla is a native of the Greater Philadelphia area, living in Coatesville, PA for most of his life. In 2006, he earned a B.S. in Sport and Recreation Management from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.

In 2008 – 2009 Master Pannulla gained experience as a head instructor. During his tenure as lead instructor he taught students ranging from age five to fifty two. Through the combination of this experience and the time he has spent assisting his instructor and teaching at camps and seminars, Master Pannulla has developed a unique approach to teaching Tang Soo Do. His approach features constant positive motivation which enhances the respect, integrity, and concentration of his students.
