Geiger Ballet is dedicated to the serious art of classical ballet. We offer early childhood development (Ages 4 – 7). For the up and comming advance student we offer professional track classes (Ages 8 – 18).

For the teens, and adults we offer Gentle Ballet: Have you always wanted to take ballet, but are afraid it would be too difficult or that you are too «out of shape»? This is the class for you… no jumping, no spinning. Feel longer and lighter after just one class.

Wanna Join the dance party? Then we have the class for you. Zumba, a class much more than a workout is waiting for you. it is an exhilarating one-​hour experience that combines energizing Latin rhythms with easy to follow combinations. Each work-​out combines strength, endurance and aerobic training which work together to build muscle and burn fat.

Business Owner

Mary Celeste Geiger has danced professionally for over ten years. She performed with three major European Companies and culminating as Principal Dancer. As Principal Dancer, she performed in Balanchine roles, many of the classics and contemporary roles such as Carmina Burana and La Peri, the latterof which was created especially forher by John Butler.

She danced extensively with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) in annual productions of The Nutcracker and the Kresge Concert Series. Mrs. Geiger received the American Ballet Ford Foundation

At nineteen, she was awarded scholarships to the American Ballet Theatre School, New York; the Vaganova School, Russia; and the John Cranko School, Germany; the latter of which she attended.

Mary Celeste Geiger has been the director of her own school, the Geiger Classic Ballet Academy, for twenty two years and has been the Artistic Director of the Michigan Classic Ballet Company since its’ inception in 1989.
