Owners Dave Toal and Valarie Gilmour (Ravenous Catering) have been providing catering services in North Central Washington since 2004. We offer full service catering including; event planning, quality cuisine, professional wait staff, full-​bar service, and equipment rentals.

To create your personalized meal we use only the freshest ingredients, and choose local whenever possible. We pick fruit from our own orchards and harvest vegetables and herbs from garden beds just steps away from our kitchen door. We pride ourselves on our heirloom greens and veggies grown right here in our garden.

Our motto is «All we do is cater to you» and we live it. We send clients item lists that include potential entrees, appetizers, salads, sides and vegetarian options. We don’t use checklists — we use «wish lists».

With us you’ve got one less worry on your wedding day. We have more than a decade of experience and have catered at nearly every venue in the NCW region. With more than 500 weddings under our chopping block, we’re confident in our ability to dazzle our clients.

History

Established in 2004.

Val and Dave’s business partnership started on their first date. Being less-​than-​satisfied with their meal they thought: «We could do better than this.»

So they set out to do just that! Both have pasts rooted in the culinary world. Val’s grandpa owned the first mobile fresh grocery truck in Kittitas County, Washington. Her mom owned the only restaurant in Dryden for years, The Gold Nugget, where Val worked as a teen.

Dave’s first job was in catering at Purdue University, where his father was a professor. Then he went on to study French cuisine from the culinary genius Randall Hoff, former owner of La Petite Maison in Olympia, Washington.

We’ve become known for our original and exciting homegrown cuisine, our mastery of many global styles and our ability to work in a variety of settings and venues. Precision and flexibility are essential to run a successful catering company, and we pride ourselves on those traits.
