Went in with a group last week for happy hour. I ordered raw oysters on the half shell and the waitress had no idea what on the half shell meant. My oysters were delivered to me and were NOT freshly shucked as the meat exposed to the air was dry. While not spoiled, they tasted terrible, like bleach. Clearly they were not fresh as they had no natural briney flavor at all. I couldn’t eat them, so I ordered some shrimp which tool 20 minutes to arrive and were cooked to death. They were so over-cooked that they were curled into little balls and were chalky and nearly disintegrated when peeled. Food was awful, service was slow especially with the restaurant being nearly empty.

It’s to bad this place is like it is because quite frankly their chicken wings are some of the best you will find around Wellington. They have a happy hour Monday through Friday whereas chicken wings are .50 each. The only problem is, they tend to serve just the«drumettes» part of the wing. The first time it happened, I asked about it and they said«they just come out as they come out». I hadn’t been back for nearly two years. I’m local to Wellington and I asked our friends if they wanted to meet us there to try it out again. The same thing happened! My husband and I ordered a dozen chicken wings to share. They came out with one flat and eleven drumettes. I once again asked the bartender«why would we get all drumettes?» He said they just randomly fry the wings. I said«really? You’d have to be stupid to randomly choose eleven drumettes and ONE flat.» He said«well, we normally charge to get all one type of wing» I said«well, I didn’t ask for all drumettes, and I don’t like frikkin drumettes, so maybe I should pay less!» Well, he goes on to say I swore at him. I most certainly did not. I told him I did NOT swear and he argued with me. «Yes you did!» He said… What a jerk. He just walked away and never came back. The whole thing was just handled in such an unprofessional manner. I would have to say that no one there has a clue how to run a restaurant. A dive bar maybe, but certainly not a restaurant. Very unprofessional and ignorant at that. I also ordered an appetizer of fish dip. It tasted horrible, like a whipped fish dip with way to much mayo. It was delivered with NOSILVERWARE! My friend who ordered ten chicken wings(she received two flats, eight drumettes) politely asked for a small container to take home four wings. The response from the bartender? «We don’t allow you to take out any food from happy hour.» It didn’t indicate this any where on the menu! Well, we are gone for good. We will frequent more reputable restaurants in Wellington. We don’t need to put up with incompetent, clueless, ignorant bartenders…

Always love Jo Jo’s. I’m definitely a regular. Great seafood, awesome specials. Chef Dezil is an artist! And everyone working there is all so friendly to everyone. Whether it’s your first or 500th time there, you’re treated as a regular!

JoJo’s is located on Wellington Trace by the movie theater. It has plenty of outdoor seating and it’s pretty big inside, almost dispersive. Food is pub fare but with an enhanced touch. This makes it to me maybe not a favorite(we don’t eat a lot of burgers or fried things) but one of the top options when I feel like having a cold one and eat something while watching a sport game. Food is very good for a bar. Also, they have a lot of seafood and fish. We had a large sampler plates and it was very nice, tasty and fresh. Their menu is so various for a bar, that I never had a burger here, I always try something different and again, often end up ordering fish or seafood. Service is always pretty good, I normally sit at the bar by the way, so unless you completely ignore me, it’s difficult for me to trash service when at the counter… It’s not gourmet and it is not supposed, but it is a better take on pub fare with plenty of variation, an extensive menu and pretty good prices considering the Wellington location.

This place is amazing. It has a laid back feel and is super comfortable. It is not over run by the bar crowd and I have gone with my young kids and just me and my husband. They are more than accommodating for kids and will basically make them anything they want from grilled cheese to sliders and it’s all good. The service is always amazing and they are totally on top of everything and anything. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is the best part. Everything is so fresh! We have ordered just about everything on the menu by now as we go in almost weekly and are never disappointed. The fresh mozzarella squares are beyond amazing and definitely my favorite. The seafood is fresh and the steaks always seasoned and cooked perfectly. You can’t beat the happy hour wings, shrimp and clams and cheap appetizers and could easily make this a meal. Whenever we have company from out of town we bring them to JoJos and they are always blown away by the food. They have pool tables and some video games and my kids love doing pinball while waiting on their meals. There isn’t one bad server that I have seen and love the different things they do. Grill and Chill is a must try and trivia night! The outdoor seating is great too if you want some fresh air or have a dog with you. It’s good for me when my kids need a break from sitting at the table. I highly recommend the brownie dessert it is fantastic and my favorite drink is the voodoo punch. This place is a must and everything about JoJos is the real deal.

Mostly for locals. Food is ok. Been there twice in the last 6 months and still not impressed. The music is very loud and a lot of interesting people hanging out at the bar. Perfect if you prefer that kind of atmosphere. I will try again soon.

I must say that the food that we had here as a family spectacular. We had the mozzarella sticks and they look like little mozzarella hamburgers. It was very generous portions. The fried shrimp was perfect.

We stopped in for dinner after spending the day at a Lion Country Safari. I found this place on Unilocal. As we walked in we noticed a man bbqing out front and it smelled good. They only do this on Sundays so we stopped in on the right day. The service was great, we didn’t even have to ask for refills. Great vibe and friendly atmosphere. The food was awesome. We had wings, mozzarella sticks which are home made and we ordered some home made mac and cheese from the grill master out front which was delish! We live in Broward but we will gladly take a trip to this restaurant again.

I had a wonderful time. To be completely honest it’s the positive vibes in the atmosphere spurred on by the bartenders and the regulars, I was definitely not impressed by our waiter who so infrequently came up to our table, however the place was rocking. My buddy and I went with a group of friends check out a new place(for us) and they turned out to have a live band and a couple of games involving all patrons the bartenders were definitely keeping the customers psyched up. We ordered some clams weren’t really my thing so we ordered a sampler and what stuck out to me was definitely the mozzarella, not some cheap mozzarella stick covered in bread it’s like a fresh ball of mozzarella sliced up battered and fried definitely my top pick

This place is perfect for a chill late night when you don’t want to be noticed and just want to get away. It’s tucked away and is one of those hard to find hole in the wall bars that you’ll go to again and again once you go. The bartenders are friendly but no nonsense. They get ur drinks fast and they have the best chicken tenders in town! Go play pool or just unwind by urself. You can go and not be bothered by anyone or go and meet everyone in the place depending on your mood. I recommend it and I’ll be back many more times! :)

A little taken back by the atmosphere. I wasn’t expecting a place like this in the middle of Wellington BUT definitely a great place for a night out when you just want some drinks and not have to get dressed up to do it. Shorts, tanks and flip flops are all you need. They have a smoker and a BBQ outside that smelled delicious. We ordered the Clams Casino and a dozen raw oysters and clams. We also had the potato skins and bowls of the clam chowder soup. The potato skins were okay, nothing I haven’t had before and the clam chowder was good. Thick and there was tons of clam meat in it. My husband had the stuffed shrimp with crab meat and I had the coconut shrimp. Everything was super fresh and delicious! I was so full, I ate the rest of mine the next day. We will definitely be coming back for some date nights and maybe next time we’ll bring the little one.

We were visiting the area from Ohio, looking for someplace with a local feel. Tired of the chain restaurants. We found this on Unilocal and decided to try it. Six of us went for happy hour. We ordered happy hour wings(.50 each)…mozzarella sticks(which looked like hockey pucks!) and potato skins… both of these were happy hour priced at $ 5. We loved all the appetizers. Wings were great and the potato skins were huge. Mozzarella«sticks» were awesome. We also ordered dinners; fresh catch(WaHoo fish), Fishermans platter, crab cake dinner and chicken/fish combo platter for dinner. Everything was wonderful. The fish was expertly prepared… better than any 5 star restaurant. The crab cakes were some of the best I have had and I was served two very large crab cakes… blackened shrimp awesome; The service was quick, pleasant and helpful. Candace was waiting on us and she was stellar! Our glasses were never empty. Music was at an acceptable level to allow for table conversation. The place also had a pool table and arcade games in case you get tired of sitting and watching the 50 or so TV’S in the place! This will be our new favorite place when we visit Loxahatchee /Wellington area. Thank you fir your hospitality, Candace!

We decided to go to jojos tonight for poker night, the game was fun, atmosphere was awesome, our server Amanda was GREAT, but as soon as we were finished with the game we decided to order from the bar. The bartenders were very rude and inattentive. I got walked by a few times before I decided to go to the other side of the bar, then on the other side the bartender finally acknowledged me without any Politeness. No personality at all! Worst bartenders ever!!! Usually a bartender wants to make sure they acknowledge their guest, Nope not here they’re very rude, and obnoxious, and very un attractive. I feel bad for the servers that have to get their drinks from those terrible bartenders. We will not be back, nor will our friends !

I’ve been coming to JoJo’s for the last year, I would say fairly often. It’s a very laid back atmosphere, there’s poker on Thursday nights, Trivia on Monday nights; always something going on. The entire wait staff is just a friendly bunch of people, and actually enjoy their jobs… Just don’t be that douche bag who stiffs a server or bartender, or the person who runs up a $ 80 bill and leave a $ 4 tip. These people live off their tips, and if you can’t afford to tip AND pay for food, maybe you should just go across the street and grab a pub sub! Everything’s is made from scratch, and specials change daily — normally all delicious! Our favorite soups are the New England Clam Chowder(I prefer it in a breadbowl) & the Tomato Basil Bacon Cheddar soup… Or something like that, also very yummy! Love this place!

If I could give half stars I would add a half of a star to my 3 star rating. How to explain my review. Here goes. 1. We were seated right away. Which was a plus! Very accommodating staff. 2. We placed an order for oysters. Took awhile to come out so the manager gave us the oysters for free. That’s 5 stars! oysters were priced perfectly! 10.95 for a dozen! 3. This was the disappointing part. We ordered the catch of the day which was sea bass. I was pretty excited for it and then after we placed our order the waiter comes back and says we are out of fish! All kinds! I understand the fish is fresh but how disappointing is that? You order your favorite fish then have to order something different? 4. We ordered the Crab Cakes for an appetizer! I highly recommend these cakes! Absolutely tasty! 5. As for our entrée. We settled for the crab stuffed shrimp. It was good nothing spectacular but good! 6. The staff did seem a little busy or disorganized but they were very apologetic and extremely friendly! 7. As for other food… I saw other entrée come out for others such as steak, burgers, sandwiches. Very big portions! 8. I really enjoyed the tv’s ! It is a great spot to watch a sports game 9. Overall. Would like to try again but actually taste their fish entrees!
