Because it a little far from my home I hadn’t eaten here probably 8 – 10 years. It was good then and is still good today. After we found one of our favorite places, Thia Stellar, closed again, again, again, a friend and I decided to try this place. It’s likely the best Chinese buffet in the Clear Lake area. ___ I’ve Eaten Out Every Meal for more than 25 years

I’ve been here 6 times in the last month. Excellent for people like myself that want to eat tons of crawfish and oysters and only pay $ 9.99/person. All of their Chinese food is pretty good too; it is typical buffet style food. I have nothing to say that’s negative about King Buffet.

The good reviews are very misleading. I tried pretty much everything from the oysters to the sushi and the hot dishes. Nothing that I tried was even decent enough for me to go back for a second bite. Gave 2 stars because they had fresh strawberries, and service was friendly enough. I left the buffet feeling very unimpressed and a little hungry.

I usually don’t consider Chinese buffets, let alone Chinese restaurants in Houston since I haven’t found any good spots yet, but this buffet is yummy. I love the fact that they have a wide variety of sushi to choose from. That was a bonus for me on this buffet. I am not fan for eating the general tso, sesame chicken, honey chicken or any of that mess on a buffet. Though, the lo mein was good and the fried rice was delicious. The buffet is small; not big for two people to walk around to the food. The dessert line is good too. The food is good that’s no problem, I knocked off one star because the price is pretty steep for dinner buffet.

Some of the food was excellent, but our experience was ruined by undercooked chicken wings and fried fish that was pink inside. Dine with care

Tried this place after giving up on our Chinese place on the Island Like this place because they are constantly cleaning and dishes are fresh on the buffet Service is great, waitress talking to regulars and very friendly When hostess noticed my drink was empty she stopped and refilled Noticed a Manager walking the floor and instructing bus boy to clean something Cold sushi bar was great. Oysters on half shell also good A big difference in this place and your typical Chinese buffet I highly recommend

This restaurant was a typical Chinese Buffet. Food was good, my favorite was the sushi. Lots of people were there it was crowded Sunday around 3pm. Service was friendly and quickly with picking up dirty plates. I would like to try different Chinese buffet restaurant before I go back.

I’ve been eating here on a regular basis for about 2&½ yrs. and they have by far the BEST Asian style buffet in the Houston area that I’ve tried, and I’ve tried a large number here in Houston. It doesn’t have the largest selection but they are very consistent and for buffet food they are very good quality. Definitely the best quality sushi I’ve had on a buffet. No it’s not a sushi bar, but what they do offer is better than any other buffet in Houston I’ve been to. I do deliveries all over Houston so I’ve tried a lot of different Chinese buffets and have been pretty much disappointed in some way with every buffet I’ve been to. I’ve never been disappointed with my meal here. It’s definitely worth a try if your looking for buffet style food.

I’ve only been to the lunch buffet. It’s good, your typical Asian buffet selections. If you are looking for fancy 5 star food this is not the kind of place to look! But if you want decent fresh Chinese then this buffet delivers. Yes, it’s a little smaller than some other buffets. But I think that’s better, the food turnover is faster so they are having to replace it with fresh food more frequently. Also, I swear all these buffets order their food frozen from the same place. They are all almost identical. But I think King’s prepares theirs slightly better than the others. I go to east star and here for lunches occasionally & even though easy star is bigger, I think the quality/presentation of the food served at Kings is a little better. One thing east star has & kings didn’t, is peanut chicken. My favorite thing at east star. But Kings had a delicious sesame chicken that I haven’t seen before at east star, and I like it better than the peanut chicken at east star. Kings also had a really good fried spring roll that I haven’t had at east star.

Totally disappointing. We saw 4.5 stars and thought we’d try. The buffet was really small with pretty bland food. There were pictures of many different plates of sushi on Unilocal, however there were three sushi plates on the buffet during our dinner. All other plates were empty and they didn’t refill. Credit card wouldn’t work. Skipping Chinese buffets until 2016.

Gosh what a pig! Who rates a Chinese buffet 5 stars? I do! The selection of sushi alone is enough to satisfy me but it doesn’t end there. I swear I must have had 3 plates of pure msg bliss when I came here because I didn’t eat the rest of the day. In fact, I don’t remember doing anything else after that huge meal. Pretty much the whole set up was delicious and didn’t have a complaint about anything. I’d totally eat here every day if I didn’t care about my health.

Ok so I love Asian buffet’s and need a quick meal the day before thanksgiving. My future father in law brought me here knowing that I loved seafood on the buffet. Man did he know what I wanted! First thing that caught my attention was the all you can eat oysters. Holy Smoley! Yes thats right all you can eat Gulf Oysters on a buffet! I ate a few dozen and they all tasted fresh and delicious. I made another stop at the peel and eat shrimp and continued to destroy some sea food. again the shrimp tasted fresh and not over cooked. I couldnt have been happier with the food quality. Next up BBQ crabs. I love BBQ crabs. These were amazingly well seasoned and cooked perfectly. I dont know how this restaurant is able to supply this much great seafood so cheap but its off the charts amazing! I paid around 10 bucks for what felt like a huge feast of fresh seafood. Yeah I’ll give this place five stars and recommend it to everyone I know. If you are near here and hungry this is without a doubt the place to be!

Above average on cleanliness and quality of food. Decent sushi selection for a buffet. My favorite one in the area.

This was definitely one of the best Chinese buffets I have been to and I think I have been to my fair share. There were 3 huge buffet setups. 1 one of them was full of seafood, sushi rolls, sushi-mi, oysters, shrimp and crab … oh my! It was awesome. The dinner buffet was only $ 9.99 per person. I think we easily got our moneys worth. The other two lines were full of every Chinese dish you could possible dream of. I loved the sesame chicken and the fried crab wantons … they were so crispy and fully of cream cheese and meat. The lo mien was delicious too. Now it was a buffet so the server did not have to do a lot, but he was great. My glass was never empty and he cleared our dirty dishes and plates quickly. Overall I was impressed by King Buffet and I am sure when I am back in the area we will be back since this was such a hit with the family.
