Established in 2004.

My name is Scott Davis. I am the new owner of this store. I just took over it in July 2012. I see some previous negative reviews and will work my hardest to make up for it. Anybody can come to the store and ask for me by name. My goal is to rebuild the reputation of the store and to provide excellent service, catering, and a quality product.

I grew up in South Houston and graduated in 1999 from South Houston High School. I went to the Army for the next six years and was a BlackHawk Crewchief. After honorably fullfilling my duties, I went to work as a Compliance Officer and Internal Auditor at a Credit Union in Pasadena. I have since left to start a new business. I own a restaurant in Thailand and in July 2012 took over this Webster Ben & Jerry’s location.

Without a doubt the most clueless staff I have ever seen. The server was in the back and I had to wait while she took her time waiting on me.
When I tried to redeem my Unilocal coupon that I had just purchased she told me I couldn’t because her computer was down. I explained that the coupon specifically said I could redeem on my phone … Ignored.
So I bit the bullet and ordered a Black and White shake. Well, she had no idea what that was and when I explained that it was vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup she proceeded to tell me that this Ben and Jerry’s had no chocolate syrup of any kind! Amazing!!!
They seem to advertise all kinds of desserts with chocolate syrup and they are posted prominently.
Needless to say … I left after wasting my time. Stay away from these people … Not sure how but they found a way to screw up a great product.

It’s 1 o’clock in the afternoon and the store is closed. I don’t understand why, and no times were posted on the door. I had to look them up online just to make sure they were supposed to be open. If the manager went somewhere, I can understand that but no note was left. Also, they didn’t expect cards, only cash. That sign was in the door.
I was heart broken. I have never been to a Ben and Jerry’s shop and was looking forward to it this afternoon. Maybe just a bad day for them, but my experience wasn’t a good one.

The ice cream and cones are delicious, with lots of great choices. We took our 4 grandsons for a treat… they are ages 12, 10, 5 and 3 and a real handful. Well, the young woman working there could not have been more patient and sweet with them, and put the ‘toppings’ for the little boys in a cup, because they were too young for the large waffle cones. They were thrilled. All the boys enjoyed the treat and the water that she brought us when we asked for a drinking fountain. Price seemed quite fair. I don’t remember what it was but of 6 ice creams, three of which were waffle cones and 4 toppings, we didn’t have to get a loan!

I don’t eat ice cream because I am lactose intolerant. Luckily this Ben and Jerry’s also has sorbets for people like me. It was perfect for a hot day!
I got the kid’s size and it was way more than enough for me. I feel like I have eaten enough sugar to satisfy my sweet tooth for the next month.
I love the store because it smells like waffle cones! Although the service was just ok. I would definitely come back :)

I personally didn’t really like the ice cream here. I purchased a cone with vanilla ice cream and chocolate chip cookies chopped in it. They had run out of all of the flavors that I would have purchased so I just selected the vanilla with cookies.
This location did not accept the Unilocal coupon specifically listed for this location so I paid full price which is a bummer. The girl that helped me was really nice so that I why I am giving this location 3 stars. I recently went to Marble Slab on Marina Bay Drive and I tell you what, that Ice Cream is sooooo goooood, they accept the $ 5 for $ 10 deal, and they are so very friendly! I have been going here ever since.

This deal was awesome since we have paid too much at other places. The place was clean and the employees are very nice and normal. The girl was the punk hair was very courteous and treated us with a smile and respect. (Usually don’t get that at most ice cream places). I live this place. Thanks

I usually love this place (the staff is very friendly at this location) but I’ve been attempting to inquire about ordering a birthday cake for days now and I can’t get anyone to answer their phone (the same number listed in multiple locations online). I just get a generic «this wireless customer can not be reached» message each time I call. So frustrating!
I attempted to order via their website (which says 24 hr lead time required) a day and a half before the party. I get a call back hours later stating that sorry, they actually need 48 hrs notice to do a custom cake… so I’m basically SOL.
The lady that called me was apologetic, but geesh… get it together.
Ultimately, I’ll be back because their ice cream is yummy and they run good specials (on groupon), but I was dismayed at the poor handling of the cake situation above.

I come here instead of the marble slab across the street for the fun flavors, and the higher quality of ice cream. I tried a new flavor tonight that they just got in, «Hazed and Confused» and I had to try a fresh chocolate dipped waffle bowl they had JUST MADE that was out cooling on the counter. SO GOOD! the waffle bowl was amazing, definitely the best ever being so fresh. Ice cream was great as usual. Service is always kind and they are quick to help you get samples to try.

I’m in Houston or the next few days. My Hotel is close by to this Ben & Jerry’s and I was in the mood for an ice cream cone after a nice meal of stir fried chicken noodles (with chicken) and a robust IPA at Nobi’s Public House.
I probably didn’t need the extra calories, but ice cream and spicy Asian cuisine have always worked well for me. So perhaps I should have chosen Chubby Hubby to make that point. Instead, I went for Chunky Monkey as chocolate and bananas are a great combination. I enjoyed a double scoop in a waffle cone for $ 5. Service was friendly and helpful from what seemed a good high school job opportunity. That’s a good thing, as my Son is now looking and this is also how I got started too many years ago.

Great spot to stop for a sweet tooth fix! This place is clean (not sure why one review states «Not Clean»). Staff was courteous and helpful in my selection. The ice cream is without a doubt the best in town with tons of different flavor options.

Every time I come here the staff is so nice and welcoming, especially the young lady with the short pixie cut. The tables are a little sticky but other than that I like it here and will be stopping by more often after the fall semester starts!

I agree that the rice village location puts this one to shame. The staff isn’t focused and didn’t put chocolate chips in my cup like I ordered. Also they did not have any ice cream cakes

Went to this location for dessert after a great meal @ King Chicken! Shared a banana split made with strawberry, chocolate and cherry garcia ice cream which was GREAT!
Didn’t have a problem with cleanliness so its looks like they cleaned this place up since the other review!

The Ben and Jerry’s on Kirby just outside Rice Village really puts this one to shame. The one inside the loop is clean inside — yet this one is so dirty I would not even think of letting my pet serpent Nagini slither around since she might catch something.
CLEAN THIS MESS UP.
Go to Baskin Robbins instead. Or just buy a pint at the grocery store when you have a bad day, pick up a spoon, and dig in.
