My private practice began in 1976 as an option at Lake Minnetonka Community MHC; site of my internship, then hired as acting assistant clinical director. Over the decades I have run cycles of individual, couple, family and group services with all age groups; to ranges of privilege and disadvantage in genetic, social and financial status; at walk-in crisis and mobile crisis, ER, short-medium term hospitalization, long-term residential treatment, half-way, group home and school settings along with a broad outpatient clinic practice.

Business Owner
I received a BA degree in psychology from Hamline University and took many summer courses at Macalester College. My graduate program was to be a blending of psychiatry and psychology. The program was designed by a group leaving the Mayo Clinic to start their own treatment and training services.
This resulted in a Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Psychotherapy from Antioch College and a two year Certificate of Training in Adolescent Counseling and Psychotherapy from the Cook Institute.
