Nisha Nails & Spa

Nisha is very clean, relaxed, and all the employees are welcoming and accommodating. I always go to Natalie or Grace for my eyebrows. I’ve gone to get my brows done at other places before, but no other place does them quite as perfectly as Nisha. Nisha is on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for-​nothing less than perfect.

So I’ve been to Nisha twice. My first time, in February, it was great. Best Brazilian I had ever had. I paid $ 53 for Brazilian. I usually go to a place in Clifton where I have a membership but I had not been able to get in with them for months so I decided to try Nisha. The waiting area was sort of uncomfortable for me, waiting on the very cushy couches and accidentally bouncing a woman sitting next to me and knocking pillows over, but I understand the ambiance they’re going for. They had Dunkin’ Donuts Donuts on the table; it was very cute. My esthetician was this friendly blonde woman with whom I had a lovely conversation and she still managed to give me a great wax while we talked our heads off. Even though I had not had one in a few months but it was pretty painless. I felt very comfortable with her and it was a very thorough waxing. She also was great with my brows. I was a little irked by the bathroom trash-​it was overflowing, but I just chalked it up to the ladies being very busy. 5 stars totally for that appointment. I went to back to the place where I have my membership to continue my waxes but I kept remembering how much I liked Nisha so after I was unable to get a wax at my usual place for a couple months, I decided to go back.
The second time, I was very pleased they were able to get me a very last minute Brazilian-​I called at about 11 AM and got a 3:15 slot. I told the woman I hadn’t been in a very long time and she said they would charge me for a first time Brazilian and give me extra time; it’s $ 53 according to their site. I don’t mind paying more because, like I said, I hadn’t been in forever and I felt bad for whatever woman had to take on that brushfire. I got there early, about 2:50 and they told me to go sit in the lounge. I used the bathroom, same situation as last time regarding the trashcan. 3:15 came and went. By 3:30, I was getting worried but I didn’t know if I should go ask the woman at the desk if something happened or not, I didn’t want to be pushy. Around 3:40, an Asian woman Grace found me and said nobody had told her I arrived; she thought I was a no-​show. She ushered me into the room and told me to take off everything; she neither left the room nor even turned around to let me have some privacy. I know she’s going to be staring directly into the sun in a few minutes but I did want to sort of fumble around in privacy. She was not very conversational, but I know some people prefer that. It was a particularly painful wax, but not the most painful I’ve endured, and I know that it’s more painful after you’ve skipped for a few months. The room was also not very clean; it looked very different from the room I had last been in for a wax, which was across the hall the last time. It was noticeably more cluttered and less peaceful, enough that it was my first thought when I entered it.
The butt wax part was odd; I’ve only ever had estheticians ask me to lift my legs to get that done, and I’ve seen women turn over on all fours on television, but this esthetician had me turn over flat on my stomach and spread my cheeks for her. It was kind of uncomfortable. When I went to pay for the wax, the esthetician told me she was charging me $ 60 because I had not had it done in awhile. A weird price discrepancy since I previously had been here for a Brazilian that was great than 4 weeks growth and they hadn’t charged me more, but I was alright with it. I had a semi-​awkward conversation with the woman at the desk because when she asked me how my wax was, I laughed and said ‘Painful,’ which set off a sort of misunderstanding wherein she started talking about how your period makes it more painful and I was like crap, I accidentally sounded critical, and that was weird. I tipped about 30% because the poor woman had to deal with my «ow ow, sorry, ow ow» Unilocal the whole time, and she seemed experienced. My wax came out very very well, very thorough, with no broken hairs or ingrown hairs, so I’m happy. I just wasn’t as comfortable this time around as I was the first time. I was super happy they were able to accommodate me same day.

I received a gift card for this place and went there on two separate occasions. 1^st visit got gel manicure and a spa pedi. The pedi was just ok, nothing extra than my regular pedis I get else where. Then, they had no neutral polish for my gel mani. Every bottle I picked up, I was told that it wasn’t enough polish left in the bottle yet they still had the bottles out as options. What nail salon doesn’t keep a neutral or light pink gel polish in stock?! Unbelievable. I was convinced to try some flashy white polish because it was very popular. Walked out and hated it. Not to mention, I originally wanted a French gel manicure and the girl said, «I don’t know how to do that.» Three days later I find myself overseas on vacation removing the gel mani and got a French gel.
Months later I returned to finish up my gift card and decided to get a wax service and a massage. Waxing was just fine. The massage on the other hand was a joke. I’ve had better massages from therapists in training. I have had my share of massages both in salons and more medical based massages at doctors office. I wouldn’t consider what I got at this salon a massage. I actually thought the person was going to dump the entire bottle of massage oil on my back. I wish I would’ve counted the amount of times she poured oil on my back. It was pretty much an oil rub down on my back and shoulders. My impression was she had no idea what she was doing. I specifically asked to tailor my massage to neck and upper back. She touched my neck once. I can’t express how sadly disappointed I was with this salon.

Love my eyelash extensions. Anetta does a beautiful job. The first appointment takes some time, where each lash is placed in just the perfect position. The fill in appointments after are a bit quicker. I received SOO many compliments of how beautiful and natural they look. I had them done for my wedding this past October. If I lived closer I would love to have them done all the time! They also lasted much longer than expected! They are definitely on the pricey side but worth it. Thank you so much!

I have been a client for many years. It is upscale but not outrageously priced. The spa and salon are very clean. Angela and Lisa are very professional and friendly. I recently saw Josephine for a massage and it was fabulous. I highly recommend Nisha Nails and Nisha Spa!

I can only speak for their spa services. The atmosphere is very upscale and relaxing, no doubt about that. But the prices are extremely high, I can get the same quality of facials and waxing at a much cheaper price elsewhere. I think this spa is good to use as a gift to someone special or if you just want to indulge in yourself for one day. If you’re trying to get quality service for a decent price then look somewhere else.

They went to a much smaller space not a true spa experience. Opened a place in Preakness.

I was annoyed because they canceled my waxing appointment last-​minute the week of my wedding. Said they could only fit me in super early a different next morning, so I had to shuffle a million things to fit it in. I had a girl (Swedish?) who was friendly enough, but she butchered me with the Brazilian wax. She did the whole thing in four or five big pieces and I was left with major bruising after. It seemed like she just wanted me in and out and didn’t care about what kind of service she was giving. Also, did not do a very clean job. I can’t speak to any other services, but I won’t be going back here.

I come here fairly often to get the brazilian wax because the price is a lot cheaper than some of the other places. However, the ladies here cannot wax properly. I’ve tried out a couple of them and they were all pretty rough. Sometimes it can be very painful as well. I only come back because of the price.

Love Nisha! Great service. Amazing spa and great pedicures. Love that they have private pedicure rooms. The best nail salon around.

Went to Nisha for a brazilian wax, and had a good experience. The girl doing the waxing really made me feel at ease, and made a painful awkward situation seem relaxed. I was greeted at the door by the owner, and all the ladies at the front desk were super friendly. Some of the services listed are definitely pricey for Wayne, because I have been to spas in Boston and NYC with those prices. I will definitely be returning.

I went there for pedicure and I had a great experience. Also, I had a makeup consultation and it was good. I like their place. They have also a sauna that you can take before going to do a massage or facial. I like Angela the owner as she always gives extras to her customers. Last time I went for a pedicure I received a substantial discount and a bunch of coupons for next time.

And this, folks, is what caused the season one RHONJ reunion show catfight!
Naturally we had to check it out and get mani/​pedis. Angela is a very sweet lady and gave us a tour of the whole salon, decorated in that special faux Venetian style native to New Jersey strip malls. Maybe Dina did it?
The manicure was bad news. She gobbed on the polish unevenly so you could see the layers on the side. My cuticles were messier/​bloodier/​rougher after she got done with them. Whatever topcoat they use peeled off in two days. And we didn’t hear any RHONJ gossip: (

Yeah, it’s a little pricy for the location. I’d expect to pay these prices in Soho, not in Wayne, but it IS a really good salon. Highlights:
* Jen M. is hands-​down (okay, I admit it, pun intended) the best manicurist in the world. I go to her, and only her, if I want my nails to look good and last for a month.
* I hate pedicures, but sometimes need to endure them for upcoming events. Nisha is the only salon I’ve ever been to that provides quick pedis – if requested, they also have long ones – that last.
* Waxing for me took a little longer than usual – about 20 minutes – but my aesthetician used that time to make my brows perfect.
Nisha also offices specialty spa servies, such as a pre-​natal massage, facials, etc.
A quick note: I have LCN nails, which cost $ 125 for a full set, and then $ 65 every 3 weeks to a month for «fills.» Not including tip. I am not sure about the pricing for other services, but they do seem to be a bit expensive for Wayne. However, I have never NOT been fully satisfied with the services offered at Nisha, and have been sorely disappointed with other salons who do (or claim to do) LCN.
