History

Established in 1992.

David Ezra Salon & Spa started out as Faces Plus Salon located on 229 Berdan Ave in the Corrado’s shopping center. After 20 years of successful growth, David, the Owner, Master Stylist & Creative Director decided he needed more space and wanted to expand the business to include a full service spa. After a few years of construction, the second location, David Ezra Salon & Spa located at 1255 Hamburg Turnpike opened in June 2015. Faces Plus is still open and accepting walk-​in clients at the original location offering only hair services such as color, haircuts, highlights, men’s barbering services and more. The second location now has a much larger space for more stylists and clients and is proud to be providing a wide range of spa services such as massage, facials, body treatments, body scrubs, reiki, acupressure, aromatherapy and more.

Business Owner

David Ezra began his career in his native country of Israel at the age of 13. As one of ten children of Moroccan parents, his first clients were his six sisters. Realizing he had a natural artistic talent, soon neighbors and friends were lining up to have him cut their hair as well. His formal training began when he finished his service in the IDF and began his apprenticeship under the renowned Jacque Shelley. After an extensive training period in Paris, he returned to Israel to open his first salon in Tel Aviv.

In 1988, on holiday he traveled to New York and decided to make his home there. He soon took over as Owner and Creative Director of Faces Plus Salon in Wayne N.J. An expert colorist and stylist, David has traveled Europe and the US to attend advanced color and cutting classes. He brings his knowledge and training back to his loyal talented staff and they have achieved a reputation for excellence in the tri state area.
