I’m white — like pasty white — like translucent white and having waxing done on my skin can sometimes be a challenge — and I usually breakout. I know that’s probably TMI but it’s relevant to this review. I’ve been a LOT of places to have waxing done, and Dre really just made a client for life. The other places (locally and non) are fantastic and I’d recommend them to anyone… with that said — for me — Dre was fantastic. She didn’t rush, she took her time and really explained to me what works for my skin. She told me NOT to come back until the hair had grown in… even if it’s longer than the «normal» time I’d get services done. What small business tells you not to come back? I can really see why all the folks on here have given her 5 stars. She uses a hard wax which actually hurts way less than the strips you get at most salons. It also leaves your skin less irritated and red.

Dre, is professional and gentle and I feel very confident in recommending her to anyone. I don’t typically feel comfortable in making recommendations but she is worth it.

I started seeing Dre before my wedding 6 years ago. I needed to get my skin under control and waxing done. She is amazing!!! One of the best facials I have ever received! She also did the makeup for myself and my whole wedding party. Everyone looked beautiful!!!

Dre is amazing, seriously, the best!!! I look forward to seeing her every few weeks because does an awesome job with my brows. My brows always look awesome, perfectly tailored, but still full. I’ve also seen her for years for a bikini wax which she does quickly and which doesn’t hurt that much because she uses hard wax.
She did my first ever facial and it was incredible. She taught me so much, answered all of my questions, talked me through everything she was doing, and then gave me samples of the product!
I couldn’t recommend her more highly. Plus, who doesn’t want to support a female small business owner?

Love, love love Dr. Dre. She goes by Dre, but she is an true «physician» of her craft. Best eyebrow wax around – very clean, sharp work. Wonderful facials – she’s very knowledgeable and gentle in her approach. She gave me first ever bikini wax. She uses the hard wax which is gentler on the skin. I totally trust her. So glad she’s in my neighborhood.

I’ve been having my eyebrows done by Dre since I moved to the area 5 years ago. She does an amazing job and I’ve never thought of going anywhere else! She is flexible and has always been willing to accommodate me if I need to reschedule.

Groupons can be tricky when trying someone new but this one hit a home run!
Dre was professional and pleasant. My skin hasn’t looked this good and felt this hydrated in a long time. I appreciate her experience and hope that when I have a few extra bucks (and time) to spend on myself, I can spend it in her care. I highly recommend spending the $$ on a true professional.

I love this place. As soon as you walk in the door, you just get a little happier. The whole vibe is so friendly and relaxed, and the people who work there are so welcoming!
I was in town for a few weeks and decided that a visit to my acupuncturist was in order-​my back hadn’t been happy since my flight. She is in the same building as the salon, and she recommended them highly. I took a look at her freshly facial-​ed skin and decided to schedule a visit, as well.
I scheduled with Adriana, and she was able to fit me in with no problem, which was great because I had limited time in town. She did such a great job on my eyebrows, they were perfect! I usually consider facials a necessary evil: they are painful, but the results are usually worth it This one was so painless and relaxing that I fell asleep for a few minutes.

I scheduled an appointment with Adriana this week, and again, I could not have been happier with the experience from start to finish. She is so warm and relaxing to be around, and her massages are AMAZING. There are so many good things to say about this business and the people who work here that I could ramble on and on… so rather than boring you, here are the highlights:
1. Cleanliness. I’ve been here twice, and both time everything was sparkling. Sorry, I don’t want dirty people touching my face!
2. I love that I can go in and get professional skin care advice, yet not be pushed/​bullied/​harassed into buying a ton of products. Adriana told me what would be best for me (and actually talked me out of a few expensive extras that I DIDN’T need), and then let me decide on my own. No pressure.
3. I had clogged pores galore when I went in, and not a single one when I left-​yet I didn’t feel any pain during the treatment. Usually even the best estheticians bring a tear to my eye when working on my nose and chin. Both Adriana and Dre had such a gentle touch, I couldn’t believe that they had actually gotten anything out until I saw it with my own eyes!
4. And the massage. Oh, the massage. It was… unreal.
5. I left with the skin of a baby. People were commenting about it all week.
6. I am never trusting my skin to anyone else. Ever.

I have been going to Dre for about 9 years now! I had bad acne before and if it wasn’t for her facials, I don’t know where I would be today. Not to mention I never let ANYone touch my eyebrows until I started going to her. If you have sensitive skin and are picky about what can and cannot be done to your skin – she is your woman. Very knowledgeable and really puts her clients first.

I’ve been going to Dre since 1995, long before Luminous days, and I would follow her almost anywhere (note to Dre: not to California, of course, but you get my drift ;-)). I’ve learned so much about skin from her. She does THE BEST eyebrow wax, hands down. I’ve had strangers come up to me and ask me where I get my brows done! She’s very accommodating with appointments and really knows how to run a business, too. Please go, you will be thrilled!
