Very rare you find a barbershop where all the barbers are great at cutting your hair to your expectations! They ask questions and even make recommendations to assure they are meeting your expectations! Barbers are respectful and professional. I drive from Malden every 2 weeks and they never fail me!

I’ve been going to A Barber Shop for over a year now. Brito is excellent. He works efficiently and does an amazing job. I am 38 years old. Before going to A Barber Shop, it was very rare that someone would say«I like your haircut.» Now, every time I get a fresh cut, someone compliments it. John who works on the other chair is great as well. Both of my brothers go to him and could not be happier. This place has amazing barbers and a great atmosphere. Could not recommend it more.

There are so many positives about this place but unfortunately the negative is the haircut and that is the most important part. Great place — very friendly, good conversation, slow service but that was without an appointment and they really do take their time on their haircuts. It was my first and only time here so there’s a little wiggle, but this is the worst haircut I’ve had. Uneven, randomly long in some areas and shaved bald in others. Embarrassingly inconsistent — now I have to get it fixed by my regular barber. Goes to show that it is always worth is to stick with someone you know and who knows your hair.

I love this place! Brito(the owner) is a master of his trade and a very nice guy. Not only do I like my hair cuts, but I truly enjoy my time at this Barbershop. It has a fun and clean atmosphere. Check it out for yourself. I’m sure you won’t regret it.

I brought my 11 year old son to this shop today, after finding reviews about Brito online. I’m a hair stylist, but would rather have a barber cut my son’s hair. I’ve been to a few places that were unprofessional, and dirty so I was looking for a place I can continue to bring him to for his haircuts. I want him to enjoy it. I was SOHAPPY I found Brito! He was extremely polite and professional. He made my son comfortable right off the bat. It’s obvious talking with Brito that he has a lot of experience and passion for his work and his shop. I loved that him and my son were chatting and he really cared that we left happy. My son said he is actually looking forward to going back! I’m so thrilled we found him!

This is one of the best barbershop in town. If you want a clean line up or just a stylish haircut this is properly one of the best places to get a hair cut! Once you have got a cut from any of these barber’s, you won’t go anywhere else in town!

Was just recently opened, but I think is a great place for a cut and straight razor shave. Good service and talkative barber to make conversation with. Placed is open late, which is great. Would recommend this place to anyone who needs a quick cut or is looking for a new barber. Also there is a pool table to use(not in great shape) while you wait. Not sure if it is still the case, but there was a second barber who was selling bootleg DVDs, which was a minus in my book or I’d make this 4 stars.

This area is sparse on places to get a good fade/lineup for simple folks like me.(No Bieber cut or hipster pompadour for me.) Brito does a great job. The first cut for me took a long time because he wanted to get everything just the way I liked it, but now I’m in and out in about 20 minutes.

After getting to know Brito and going back time after time for my haircuts, I know without a doubt that not only is he the best barber in the business he’s a great guy too! Absolutely worth the price, in fact after seeing some of the prices around town, his are reasonable and the quality is FAR above the rest.

Brito is the man. Plain and simple. I’ve been going to A Barber Shop for a over a year and a half which is a very long time for me to stay with the same barber. Most of the time I feel like the barber gets too comfortable with me and it makes me feel pressured to talk about things I’d rather not discuss when I just want to get a good hair cut. I always feel comfortable in this place and it’s like I’m going to hang out with my friends whenever I go see Brito. Incredible small business and worth the ten minute drive i make to go out of my way to get my hair cut.

John(formerly of the Barbershop Salon) is now there! He’s been cutting my hair for about 2 years and I’d follow him anywhere(especially right down the street from where he was) because he gives amazing haircuts. I’ve NEVER been disappointed(and I’m very picky). He listens and does exactly what you want. The place is not fancy or big, but has a friendly/casual feel and the price is great($ 20). I would definitely recommend John(or anyone there. I saw good work and one haircut was on a boy about 6 yrs old. His mother seemed pleased.) Make an appt, park in the metered lot behind CVS and you won’t be disappointed. update: 4⁄2014 I noticed my review did not make the cut(no pun intended). I have no idea why. I’m a new customer(having followed John from his last barber shop). Anyway, I recommend the place!

I’ve been to A Barber Shop a few times now and will definitely keep on going. Brito takes his time and does a fantastic job. He’s meticulous and you can tell he knows what he’s doing. This is a refreshing change of pace vs great clips or any of those other in-and-out shops(which is where I’ve consistently had my hair massacred for he past 10+ years). The price is also right. A piece of advice, make an appointment. They’re busy(for good reason) and they give priority to appointments.

Great haircut but prices are questionable. They say they are open at 7:00 am but no one is ever there. The owner is great and has his prices on the wall. The guy in the middle charges different prices every time I come in. He pockets the money instead of putting the money in the register. I wonder what type of operation is being run here. I’d stay away until management can get control of the shop.

These two guys know how to cut hair. After years of being lazy and going to Super Cuts I stopped in when I saw the barber pole in the window. The shop is clean, comfortable and apparently they do a great job. I walked in the door and the first thing my wife said was«Who cut your hair? They did a great job». Parking is easy to find, the wait was short and my wife is happy. Perfect!

I usually go to Lessards in Brighton, which is a great barber shop, but I needed a haircut on a Saturday and didn’t want to wait an hour(or more) like I knew would be inevitable at Lessards. This place is in a convenient location in Watertown Square. It’s clean and there’s a pool table in there if you have to wait, but I didn’t. I got Glenn, friendly guy. Apparently you can get lined up and zig-zags shaved in your hair, if that’s your thing. But they can do regular cuts great too. I’m a nerdy white guy and they cut it just like I asked, so I didn’t leave with ice-picks or anything. It’s not super quick, but Glenn took his time to make sure he cut it well(20 – 30 mins), so it was fine. Open 7am-7pm Mon through Saturday. Also a nice thing is that they take appointments, which a lot of barbers don’t do. $ 18 for a regular guys cut. Would definitely go back here.

I went to 3 Brighton barbershops last Saturday only to find long waits and less than friendly staff. Then, after driving into Watertown to see what I could find, I wandered into«A Barber Shop». I was greeted by all three barbers on shift and immediately given a seat for a haircut. I have been to barbers all over the city and this was by far the best one I have had to date. My particular barber, a really nice guy named Brito, took his time to make sure the cut was perfect. The entire staff made great conversation and the overall experience couldn’t have been better. A men’s cut is only $ 16 and if you do end up having to wait, the shop also provides a pool table, plasma screen tv, and vending machines to keep you entertained in the meantime. Definitely give these guys your business… I know I will the next time I need a trim. http://Http://www.ricknarrington.com

Cut was solid(a little slow so if you are in a hurry expect to spend some time there). For 18 bucks(and tip) it’s a good deal. Place is cozy and the owner is talkative/friendly. My go-to spot!
