Price match is a joke and entails you to email the proof and wait for them to get back, which they never do. How difficult is to look at a competitor’s website like Amazon over the phone and take a screenshot themselves. I am talking about products sold and shipped by Amazon.
Terrible customer service issue and if they cannot price match they will not get back to you.
110% price match is a big big lie !!!
You are better off taking your business to the competing lower price establishment.

This store sounds like a good place in person but their online customer service is terrible. It took several days from the time I placed my order for it to ship and then once I got the Milwaukee product, one of the pockets on the tools belt ripped within the first few days. I called Milwaukee to see what should be done and they stated since it was less than 30 days from purchase, return it to Tools Plus. I called Tools Plus for an RMA and they stated they would not replace the tool belt, I needed to contact Milwaukee. I let them know we had the belt less than two weeks. I called Milwaukee back and explained to them the situation. They are going to replace the belt but stated the retailer should have taken care of it. I would not recommend Tools Plus for online purchases.

Tools Plus is right! This place is filled top to bottom! Aisles are a bit tight but that’s because there’s just so many! Awesome ! I’m a construction worker so you know I’m a fan ! There’s just a different air from Home Depot in there ! That’s because it’s small filled with Quality Tools !! Staff in here were very friendly !! Told me all about the shipping warehouse in Prospect, Ct. Prices in comparison to Home Depot (only a few things I know of) were cheaper ! And that for me is a Plus !! Lol. I recommend this place with 5 stars !!

I’ve shopped at a lot of online retailers and had to fight the automated phones to get help. Online Chat or Question Submission only goes so far… So I tried Tools Plus. I was looking to get a Dewalt Drill Kit (the new 20V one) for my dad for Fathers Day and found Tools Plus had the lowest price. So I called them up and I spoke with this woman. She was very friendly and very fast. I told her the model # and within 5 minutes of picking up, my item was shipping out on the same day. I live in CT, so its only a day to ship anyway. Next day, got my package and it was in great condition. They treated me well at Tools Plus and my dad loved his Dewalt kit. I will always come back to them whenever I need another tool. A+ Retailer
PS– Just recently found out they have a store in Waterbury (next town over). Can’t wait to go on my next day off! I just won’t tell the wife ;)

I purchased a floor jack to work on a hardwood flooring project for an elderly family member. I have installed 3 or 4 floors in my lifetime and saw this product as a great way to get the boards close to the walls tight and professional looking. I already own the Bostitch MIII-​FS and have been impressed with their products so far. I felt that this jack would be a great addition to my tool collection.
I took the unit out of the box and the arm that you push out or retract back to true up the floor fell right out. I tried and tried for almost an hour and could not get it to go back into the gears. I had the person who was doing the floor with me who is also very mechanical try to fix it. No go. So we left that portion of the floor until I could talk to Tools Plus to see about getting a replacement. It was a larger job so we could do that.
I called Tools Plus and explained what happened. I told them that I do not fault them for the product being defective right out of the box as they have no way to check each item they ship. I totally get that. Tools Plus suggested that I contact Bostitch and they could possibly fix it over the phone or refer me to one of their service centers.
So I call Bostitch right after and am put on the line with one of their product techs or whatever. They didn’t even know about the device. I explained to them what it was, what it did. They had no clue. Apparently the product is so new Bostitch can’t even support it yet. The tech suggested I take it to my nearest service center which was 19 miles away. I didn’t think this was a good idea because for starters, I would probably have to leave it and pick it up another time as I doubted they would work on it right away. This would cause me to drive almost 80 miles. The second reason I didn’t want to take it to the service center is because my feeling was that if Bostitch who I was talking to didn’t know about it, some service center certainly wouldn’t have a clue. This would be a waste of my time and gas money.
So I call Tools Plus back and explained what Bostitch had said. They advised me that I could get an RMA from them and send it back for either a replacement or refund. OK fair enough. I still needed the tool to finish the flooring job and I couldn’t leave my elderly family members house unfinished so I told them that I would like to exchange it for another unit. Tools Plus advised me that I would have to pay to ship it back. I kindly explained that the unit was no working right out of the box which I do not fault them for but I would not pay for shipping back just to get something that should have worked to begin with.
The customer service rep indicated that she would need to get an exception to pay for the shipping as their POLICY is to not pay for return shipping. She says she would need a Vice President’s authorization. I totally understood where the CS rep was coming from. If that is their policy, then so be it. I didn’t fault her either. She didn’t send me a bad tool nor did I expect her to break any rules for shipping the tool back. She indicated that no VP’s were in at the moment. This was right before the 4’th of July weekend so I assumed that the VP’s would take the Friday after the holiday as well. No problem. I needed the tool to finish my flooring job but I understood the process. The CS rep said she would put the request in and get back to me.
I did not expect a call back that week due to the holiday but when I didn’t get a call back the week after, I started to get upset. I ended up finishing the flooring job and tightening the boards by hand where the Bostitch floor jack would have made a difficult job easy. Sure would have been nice to use it.
I finally call back Tools Plus a week and half later and got a different CS rep. I explained politely the situation and that I was waiting for a call back for authorization to ship this defective unit back. She said, «We don’t pay return shipping.» Again, I explained what the other CS rep said and was trying to do for me.
After realizing that I was getting no where, I said fine, I will pay to return it but I do not want a replacement. I want a full refund. I will take my business elsewhere. I do not agree with your policies and I would not have had to waste this much time and energy had I purchased this unit from Amazon. The CS rep gave me the RMA number and address.
5 minutes later, Lisa the CS rep I had originally talked to left me a voice mail that she had gotten authorization to give me a UPS label and pay for the return shipping. She emailed me a shipping label, I returned the defective item and they refunded my credit card in full.
To me, this was poor customer service and a waste of my time to get a defective item returned. It was a hassle and I do not like to do business with companies like that. I am thankful they finally decided to pay the return shipping. I will, however never purchase anything from them again.
