Walks & Wags, LLC offers 30 minute dog walks– serving the NW District (U st, Adams Morgan, Glover Park, Woodley Park, Cleveland Park, Tenelytown, AU Park, & Friendship Heights). Individual walks, weekly & monthly walk packages, cat visits, & in home boarding for clients. If you have a couple friends that also need walks, inquire about our group rates.

Walk & wags is founded by an animal lover & DC native, Patrick Klafehn. Familiarity w/​the city allows relaxation of the animals & optimization of time allowing for your pet to be fully exercised, fed, medications given, & otherwise cared for.

We enjoy & truly care about animals, so you will feel assured that your pets are treated as our own. Walk & Wags aims to provide dependable, trustworthy, affordable, & flexible service to all our clients w/​both 2 & 4 legs. As an added bonus, we will pick up mail or newspapers, turn on/​off lights, & water plants if your home requires.

Pat has been unreasonably accommodating with my constant changes in schedule, and you won’t beat his prices in DC, especially if you use him 4 – 5 days a week. My dog can be a bit of a pill on leash (over excited very easily by squirrels and dogs) and he manages her without complaint. He responds to my requests for last minute walks or cancellations right away to confirm, and I also always know what time he came and whether she went potty from his notes. Highly recommend! We hope to use Walk and Wags for as long as we’re in the Glover Park area.

Pat walked our dog Biscuit for 2 years and we only stopped because we moved away from DC. He is wonderful — I am absolutely obsessed with my dog and consequently hard to please, and it was such a great thing to know that whatever else I was going to worry about, Biscuit was fine with Pat. Biscuit LOVED Pat and went nuts every time she saw him. He always went along with every picky little request we had. He always showed up on time and kept Biscuit out for at least 30 minutes. He’s a one-​person business, so you know exactly who your dog will be with. He is also very responsive and flexible — sometimes we would need to cancel walks or add a second evening walk with very little notice, and it was never a problem. I would recommend Walk and Wags to anyone!
