This company and the team we worked with were absolutely stellar. I am a mother (living in CA) who was coordinating a move with (for) my 22 year old son (living in DC) as he had found a place closer to work he wanted to move into. I knew he had little time off work, so I intended to get all the details lined up in advance, and then fly from CA to facilitate the packing piece with one company, and the move piece, with POCKETSHIP.
From the first phone call with POCKETSHIP, the meticulous attention to detail was excellent. We got prompt responses each time we were customizing our move requests. They wanted to make things work, and were dedicated to finding ways to say YES.
The packing company I used (I’ll Unilocal later on about that) was an utter catastrophe on the move day. I was in shock!
I called POCKETSHIP hysterically crying that day, and it was not even their piece of the project, but they started to become creative and became our superheroes! They had to make sure we saw this to fruition, and they went so far above and beyond, my son and I were just in awe. Not just of the work they did, but the integrity every employee at POCKETSHIP had as a human.
They made choices that would create success, and they each had to sacrifice in some ways, but they had a goal to achieve and they never lost sight of it or gave up. They wanted to come through! THEY SO DID!!!
I am so picky. I do so much research. When I tell you that if you are even thinking of movers, you have to call POCKETSHIP, I tell you that from the bottom of my heart.

These guys were AMAZING! They were so courteous on the phone and even provided a discount since I found them online. I needed a quick-​turn move (within 24 hours). They talked me through the process and gave me some tips on how to save on the expenses. Quynh followed up on the phone to ensure that the date I needed was accommodated. The movers themselves were very courteous and prompt. I was given a 4 hour window, and they were at my place within the first hour. They took care to make sure that my belongings were wrapped properly during the move. They don’t do packing, but as long as you have everything packed away, they’ll deliver whatever you have that needs to move. I would absolutely use them again and highly recommend! The experience was more pleasant knowing you’d be able to take care of us and came highly recommended by a trusted friend. Renting a U-​Haul and hiring labor wasn’t nearly as efficient or cost-​effective and we’ve all been stuck with lowballed moving quotes before. My husband and I were moving from a two-​bedroom row house and had a lot of big items and boxes. The PockitShip movers wrapped our furniture and were extremely careful with all of our items. They even worked in the pouring rain and made everything fit in the truck somehow! Even a representative from their office stopped by to check on progress and help out. I’ll continue to pass along the good word about PockitShip to my friends and colleagues.

My wife used PockitShip to move a dining room set and a china cabinet. This furniture had belonged to her deceased Mom, so it had a lot of sentimental value and could not be truly replaced. PockitShip came out, packed it up carefully, and delivered all of it to our home safely. We could not be happier with the service (or the price). They had terrific customer service throughout the process. We highly recommend it.

I used PockitShip to move from my townhouse to my new house. I moved all my small items and left the heavy lifting for PockitShip, and BOY did they exceed expectations! All of my items were taken care of in a smooth and orderly fashion, and they were extremely efficient and trustworthy. Great rates/​pricing and great customer service! USE POCKITSHIP, PEOPLE!!! These guys were great! Quyhn answered all of my hundreds of questions and walked me through the entire process, as well as pricing structure. I checked around with other movers and they were much more expensive. The movers were prompt, friendly and more than helpful. They wrapped & padded everything and even offered to move things that hadn’t been put on their manifest. We were moving from a ground floor condo to a fourth floor apartment & had probably 20 items. We moved a couch, love seat, two queen mattresses sets, three dressers, a dining room set, two large tvs, a large chair, two ottomans, two side tables and a bunch of random stuff. With all that we only paid $ 400. We DID end up tipping the movers since they moved everything up three flights of stairs, so in the end we ended up paying $ 560 for three movers over a period of 3.5 hours. I would definitely recommend their services and would use them again in the future.

Not sure what to say about them other than they are a 5 star operation for sure. I was shipping a large pice of furniture and they were not only extremely competitively priced, they were also very timely with the scheduled pick up and delivery times, and were extremely thorough in following up on the drivers status. They even followed up at the end of the delivery ensuring everything was ok. Great service which I’ll not only use again myself, I’ll also refer friends and family to them. Good work!

Lifesaver! Cleaning out the house trying to get rid of heavy furniture (old leather couch, bookcase, etc.) was not going to be fun trying to do it myself. Pockitship took care of everything, they were respectful, on time and very communicative. I thought it would be waiting around for the typical 6 hour window of other companies, but not with Pockitship. I am telling all my mom groups in the neighborhood!

Local moving is a great idea for a company! I purchased two items of furniture and had no idea how to get them to my house. Pockitship scheduled the pick up and delivery within 24 hours and perform the job in the middle of a minor snow storm on time and with seemingly little effort. Nice job, polite employees, excellent customer service.

Initially, I was not very comfortable with paying in advance and online after reading their terms and conditions. I used my AMEX since they have an awesome reputation with managing disputes. However, I was impressed with the service overall, the ability to upload photos of my items and get pricing on the spot. They offered great customer service, the movers handled my items with care and took photos of my items, and Quynh (pronounced Qwin) was my point of contact. She was proactive and kept me up to date in the process. I was VERY pleased with their service. Today, I received a follow up call from Quynh to ensure that I was pleased with my move. I am committed to referring this company.

I used PockitShip to move a new fridge we bought and take the old one out. I wasn’t really into the idea of trying to ask a friend with a truck or trying to do it myself. Price was super reasonable considering I didn’t have to spend my Saturday afternoon hauling around 2 fridges. It was easy to book online, they called me a day later to confirm, and they were on time. Can’t really ask for more these days.

This was a really convenient way for me to move a big item from one location to another and then rearrange furniture in my house. Steve and Vernon were polite, patient and accommodating. And Quinn was on top of my request/​order even thru a holiday weekend. I’d use this service again. Very reasonable and easy to arrange/​coordinate.

I really wish I had known about PockitShip sooner! Trying to move stuff on my own isn’t simple, and renting a truck and getting a friend to help just takes too much time that I don’t have. I wanted to buy a new armoire but getting it home was the problem. Their price was REALLY reasonable considering the cost/​time it would take to do it myself. It literally took me less than 5 minutes to setup my order on their site, and someone called me the next day to confirm everything. The store I bought it from had weird hours and I was worried that would be an issue, but PockitShip even called the store directly and worked it all out so everything went smoothly. The movers were really nice and really did call me when they were on their way to to me. I will def be recommending PockitShip to anyone I know who needs to move stuff!

I found a great deal for a couch on Craigslist but knowing that I have a small car and a hectic schedule I needed to find a mover within my budget and timeline. Really have to give kudos to this company for their customer service. We were very concerned about our air hockey table being able to be put together on Christmas Eve. Quinn went above and beyond expectations to ensure a team was available and ready to build everything in time so our kids could receive an early present from Santa. I really do appreciate their pro-​activeness, follow through and follow up afterwards. I definitely look forward to working with them again in the future should we ever need their services again.

Phenomenal service and wonderful concept! Pocketship just moved a TV stand and dresser from my friend’s apartment in DC to my apartment in northern Virginia. My friend and I are not from this area and we don’t know anyone with a truck. However, paying a typical moving company seemed ridiculous, Enter PockitShip. Not only was the company a lifesaver, but also provided such professional and helpful service. They were on time, communicated frequently, and gave me peace of mind. All for about $ 100 more or less. I highly highly recommend them!

I called around several places for all ranges of moving services. Everything from moving everything myself and getting a truck to PODS to full on movers. PockitShip was the most affordable and met my needs perfectly. Moving from a studio apartment, I didn’t have a ton of stuff, but had some big pieces that I didn’t want to deal with moving.
The staff through the entire process was friendly, informative, and punctual. The movers were fantastic!

PockitShip was AWESOME! I placed the order on their site, they confirmed a time, and they picked my items up when they said they would. They moved my outdoor couch, chairs, table and heater quick and easy with no hassle! Extremely friendly staff! Best part is, I didn’t hurt my back… or my wallet. I will be using them again. Stop bothering your friend who has a truck… use PockitShip instead! (FYI…I was always the guy with the truck)

PockitShip did a great job! In fact, my experience with their delivery, a third party delivery team hired by me directly was WAY better than the experience that I had with Restoration Hardware’s delivery team. PockitShip was able to schedule my delivery within 48 hours of my request and the cost was half of what Restoration charged me AND they had to pick up my furniture from the Restoration Hardware Outlet in Leesburg, VA. When they arrived at the Outlet they needed permission from me to release the furniture, which I did not know about so had not done ahead of time but they simply called me with the store manager and made it easy for me to authorize their pickup. This experience was so easy that I will be heading back out to the Outlets very soon to see what else I can find and will definitely use PockitShip again to deliver these items.
