We absolutely love Desideros! After 10 years away we moved back to the area and I was excited they are still there. Ordered my favorite California Chicken Sub and it was every bit as good as I remembered! I have had it several times since and they are always spot on consistent. Only place around that has Mozzarella Corrozza which is fabulous! Orders are always correct with any special requests (allergic to onions) and fresh whether picked up or delivered. Delivery is always on time and food is hot when it arrives. I haven’t dined in since moving back but did 10 – 12 years ago and always enjoyed it when I did.

Had the pleasure of taking what was a very scenic drive out to Washington from Warren to try out Desiderio’s. Had heard great things and wanted to find out for myself.
Short answer was it lived up to its expectations. Started with Calamari for appetizer. Fried in light oil and not too heavy, it took the edge off of our appetite. The bread was fresh and tasted great. We ordered a large pizza and Steve (the owner) suggested we try some fresh basil on top. It was fantastic — much better than most all «neighborhood» pizza places. Crust was thin and crisp. toppings fresh without the excess grease and oil you often get at other places. His brick oven seems to be a higher grade than most and it makes a big difference in terms of how your pie will taste.
We finished our meal with some cannolis which were delicious. We left with half our pizza wrapped and completely full but without feeling like we were in a food coma. The left over pizza tasted almost as good a day later.

Service was blah to fine. I had the pizza. Best way to describe the pizza: imagine the best pizza you ever ate, burn it just a little, and eat it the next day after it’s been on the counter all day, and nuke it for 30seconds just to get it a little warm. I would absolutely eat it if there wasn’t anything else in the fridge.

This is based on food we ordered to go –Seriously, some of the best food I’ve had. We ordered food to go last night and got: pasta fagioli soup, the antipasto salad, a small Vodka Alla Pizza and a buffalo chicken pizza.
The soup is the best I have ever had and I cannot figure out why — something about the taste was just delicious. I even reheated half of it today and it was just as good. Just order it.
The vodka pizza was incredible — normally vodka pizza makes a mess, nothing fell off this one. The prosciutto is such a nice touch and the vodka sauce is amazing (I’m so picky about vodka sauce).
The antipasto was delicious and the small portion was HUGE! Fresh meats and cheeses that just could not be beat. They also include generous portions of bread too.
The buffalo chicken pizza was also awesome though we liked the vodka pizza better. DEFINITELY coming back!!!

Good pizza. Buffalo chicken salad is delicious (but it comes with balsamic – weird– order it with bleu cheese) Friendly servers. Don’t order delivery. I live 1.5 miles from this restaurant, delivery took 2 hours. Decided to go pick it up after all that waiting. AND pizza and wings were ice cold. Although I do see they deliver to Oxford. Maybe this is the problem. IMHO, Ernie and Doms has better food.

I hadn’t been here in a couple years and had take out pizza this weekend and it was absolutely delicious! They used very fresh ingredients and the pizza was well cooked with that great brick oven taste. Really loved the pizza dough and the variety of pizza they had to offer, finally something different from the norm. Great salads too, again very fresh. Can’t wait to go back and try more!

I will never go here again and advise anyone not to either. After waiting for ½ hour for food we realized that the waitress had left to do deliveries. We finally got our food and it was a greasy garlic laden panini. We also got food to go. My daughter opened her panini and the bacon was raw. Seriously, raw bacon. Are they trying to kill people? Dont ever go here!!! The only reason that this got one star is because you have to give stars.

I’ve only had the pizza here but it’s always good. The service is a little slow if you eat in, which is hard with a small child. Other than that, solid food and will continue to go back.

Really good pizza! Eggplant rollatini appetizer was also very nice. Is the ricotta homemade? It could’ve been. Salad was just average, they threw someesclun on a plate & added walnuts & weak blue cheese, meh… No fancy atmosphere, the mall it is in looks deserted, but pizza is good!

Good brick oven pizza where you wouldn’t expect! Fresh, homemade mozzarella & fresh toppings. I would like the crust to be a little bit more browned & crispy.

Their food is consistently good, read good, not great. Their brick oven pizza is always delicious, if you’re not in the mood for real authentic Italian pizza. I’ve tried a few of their pastas, and they usually need some salt but are otherwise tasty. This is a good option if you’re looking for quick «Italian» takeout. BYOB if you eat in, the servers are always nice and efficient.

The owners at this place are so unfriendly it’s absurd. They are always very short and in a bad mood both in person and on the phone. I’m really contemplating between 2 or 3 stars, but a rude business doe not deserve you as a customer. I would give 3 stars for their amazing penne vodka, but their pizza and everything else is mediocre. They also do not make Sicilian slices (squares) which baffles me and other common pizzeria style food such as chicken rolls. At least offer to make it on request like some of the nearby places do. Lastly, their pasta portions are on the small side. They might be satisfying for a woman, but not enough for a man with an big appetite. The amount you get for what you pay isn’t even comparable to other nearby pizza establishments who also use the same sized take out container.

Margarita pies are definitely the best in the area! My husband and I come from 5 mins from the NYC so we are used to very good pies. We have gotten a pie once that was a little burnt on the bottom but a brick oven is not as controlled as a regular oven. So it did not stop us from eating it and ordering again.

pretty good. really liked the feel inside — It’s nice and comfortable with pretty terra cotta floors and clean so you may even want to dine in. My husband and I go usually on sundays and have a nice meal. He usually gets a pasta dish and I have had a variety of things from an italian sub, a panini, and a fried mozz. appetizer. There are some meals that could be improved but over all delicious! Heather is a great waitress too — very attentive, friendly, and willing to offer suggestions on what to try! :) We will be frequenting here pretty often.

So far I’ve only tried the pizza and it’s great! They make it New York style which means the crust is thin and can be folded when eaten. They only make the basics: plain, sausage, Margarita, and pepperoni (and maybe one or two others). My clue to good pizza is a place that sticks to a few classics and doesn’t try to be Baskin & Robbins 31 flavors.
The brick oven imparts an old world flavor reminiscent of Little Italy in the 1960s and 70s, before the Village got too hip. The dinning room is clean and the service is casual and friendly.
