Verizon Wireless – Washington Dc

I went there last night to return two set-​top boxes and two routers. I had to disconnect FiOS because I moved to a building without it. Thank God for the employees here. Calling Verizon I got bounced from one operator to another and eventually back to the mainline. It’s like they borrowed a page from the Comcast Customer Service manual. But one call and visit to this store and I was set. They took back my equipment, gave me a receipt, and sent me on my way with quick, polite service.
Parking is difficult — it’s Adams Morgan after all — but there are plenty of bus lines from Woodley, Dupont, Columbia, and downtown.

The Employees are the best, Truly honest and diligent and genuinely cared and are, knowledgeable professionals in what they do. The best Verizon Wireless Ever! The best experience I have had ever in a Phone store.

Incredibly unhelpful, acted as though I was a nuisance. I went in to have them take a quick look at my phone, which has had trouble charging lately. The fella (there 9÷23÷14 at appx. noon), barely made eye-​contact, minimally listened and just handed me a number to make a claim. Last year, I went to the same store and received amazing service. While the store wasn’t able to replace the phone, they dialed the insurance company directly, made sure everything went smoothly, etc. That made me want to come to the store again. But, receiving such shoddy service from the clerk has now ensured that I won’t be coming to that store for my new phone and any accessories. Customer service — look into it.

Do not have much in stock. When I visited the store and ordered a phone I was told it would arrive the next day. Four days later, I had to insist on cancelling my order so I could buy it in another store. Even this took multiple phone calls. The employees were nice enough, but I would choose another location next time.

This review is based on my experience exchanging a Verizon FIOS set top box. For some reason unbeknownst to logic itself, Verizon decided to make this place the only physical location in DC where you can return and pick up set top boxes. As it was close by, I thought it would be easier to exchange here than to package it and mail it back and then have to wait for the new one to arrive.
As another reviewer has stated, if there’s someone else being helped when you arrive, you’ll probably be waiting for a while as they either don’t have enough employees, or they just don’t care how long you have to wait. My guess would be the latter. After waiting some time, an employee graced me with his presence only to sneer when I told him that all I was doing was exchanging a FIOS box. From that point on it was clear he was annoyed to have to process something non-​Wireless related and did not say another word to me.
After a few minutes of keying things into his computer and scanning the old box, he pulled out a new box from the back closet, scanned it and handed it to me with a receipt. Without a word he started to walk away, but before he got too far I asked him if I was all set. He just nodded and walked off. Well I apologize for inconveniencing you as a customer looking for a service to be performed that you’re paid to do. Looks like We R Wireless needs to work on more than just their inability to spell.

Avoid this store at all costs. Save your time and visit a real Verizon Wireless store. This is a «Premium Retailer» named «We R Wireless» which in reality is a poor excuse for a business. Specifically, avoid the «Store Manager» who is named Louis Colbert — the guy’s a complete joke. I went into the store to purchase a phone which I planned to use for a few days then return. This is completely within Verizon’s and the «Premium Retailers» return policy. When I divulged this information to Louis he immediately told me he would not sell me a phone if I planned to return it. I then stated I assumed that was not inline with the corporate policy to which he replied, «it’s not the corporate policy, it’s my policy.» We then exchanged some kind words and I left. As I said, save your time and avoid this store. Just go to a real Verizon store.

While we were in there, we were helped in a professional manner. My friend was signing up for services while other customers came in to shop for phones or to pay bills. Those customers, had they stayed, would have had to wait a loooong time for service as our consultation took easily 30 minutes. They need more staff in here, but the one guy who helped us was efficient, polite, and thorough once you got a moment of his time. Bonus star for letting the dog sit inside with us.
