U.S Customs and Border Protection

No line, quiet waiting room, seen within minutes of arrival (BEFORE my appointment time!), and friendly, helpful staff. I don’t think I’ve ever had this kind of service at a government office before! They seem to have a very efficient system going.

Pleasant experience. Was literally in and out in less than 15 mins. The traffic was definitely hellish this morning so I ended up arriving about 20 mins after my appointment time. Parking is security regulated, so give yourself extra time to have your car searched and then go through the maze to find parking. Parking starts at $ 10 an hour. This office is newly updated and a lot less stiff than the Dulles airport location which I’ve also been to.

My oh my! Look man, im sorry i beat you up and stole ya lunch money in 10^th grade, but seriously, i apologized like 7 times, why you still taken it out on everyone?! Ohhhhh i see; yo i didnt ‘steal’ ya girlfriend, she wanted to be with me! How many ways can i make that clear?!

Yea, these guys. Whoa! Lets see, inna few words: robotic, emotionless, inhuman, programmed, thoughtless, cold hearted, no hearted, despicable, disrespectful, uneducated, etc etc. I could go on and on, but daaaaaamn! I thought the local boys in blue were steaming mounds of turds until i was graced with the presence of these robots!
Its crazy, ya know, theyre supposed to be protecting America, but couldnt be acting any more UN-​American! A sad state of affairs indeed.

I had a pleasant experience being interviewed for a Global Entry pass. I knew people who had gone to one of the other local enrollment centers where there was very regimented process; the door opened at the scheduled time and names were called. If you were early, you had to wait for your appointed time and if you were late, you were SOL.
My experience was completely different. The area was glass enclosed, and the staff activity was plainly visible. I arrived more than ½ hour early so as to not miss my appointment and signed the sign in book. The staff was busy serving customers. After about 5 minutes when one of the staff became free, I was called in. The processing took only a few minutes. The staff was especially friendly and helpful. The location is easy to get to; it is in the Ronald Reagan Building and is accessible from the Federal Triangle Metro Station without being exposed to weather. I would recommend using this location rather than the other local locations.
