The IRS, yes… my o my… such a wonderful organization formed by our federal government. Who doesn’t love sending in big checks every year to help support the less fortunate. That warm and fuzzy feeling you get all over after signing such a large check and dropping it in the mail, O yes… just wonderful, and when you need to talk with them and have to wait 5 hours on hold, it’s okay because you know they are very busy and their time is much more important than yours.
Then when they answer the phone, they can’t really help you because your 1 silly question can only be answered by people from 5 different departments, so on hold you go… again… Who doesn’t love paying taxes under the threat of being punished and going to jail. I know our founding fathers planned the IRS to help our country grow into what it is today.

they hang up on you when you ask for a supervisor. i will not call her ms or mrs she is neither, they think they rule, but the truth is they are so screwed up. i can’t efile because of a glitch in their system. her name was luis/​lewis id# 81 000 677 656 yes i have that number and it is correct as to what she stated as an id number. she sounded rude when she picked up the call or should i say sounded like she didn’t want to be there. she also stated that they shut down the ip pin system because it was breached. what irs system breached? what data did they steal and why hasn’t anyone been notified that this has happened? my data could have been stolen? irs servers breached? or is this person just brushing it off to get over with this call? why hasn’t the public been informed about a irs system breach which could leak out private filers tax returns? is irs keep this quite and has this person id #81 000 677 656 given out more information than irs wants too?
either way they want to tax us/​penalize us for something we should have a choice. look at the health system the prices of your basic health insurance has sky rocketed since they started this now no one can afford to get insurance on there own. health insurances are taking advantage of this because the government has made it a requirement to live in this country. what gives?
these guys are just a bunch of well you know what i mean. they hang up constantly. this has been happening since this new president. they hang up on you because they can’t help you. they must have hired some pretty bad software guys at irs because i’m an it guy and they can’t even fix this problem. they have been hacked!!! and if you want just message me and i will send you a copy of the voice transcript that they say they’ve been breached… or is she just a liar id#81 000 677 656
oh and i still want to talk to a supervisor whom they won’t transfer me too or even give me a chance to speak to one. maybe the supervisor is the one telling them that if they get a call requesting a supervisor to hang up. this is legal guys they are license to do what ever they want hang up on you charge you taxes and call it a penalty. why are we paying irs for a penalty that has nothing to do with taxes?

I received a form letter on May 23 inquiring if I had filed a return asking for $ 2255.00 or a second return, with a different amount requested. They asked that I advise them by US mail and also provided a 800 number if I would like to speak with them. I tried for one week to call them but the recording indicated they were to busy to take any telephone calls.
At the end of one week, I mailed them the letter indicating the $ 2255 amount and that only one return had been filed. I also indicated both my wife and I had been victims of identify theft, beginning in the late 90’s and that we had made notifications, as required. I continued attempting to contact them via phone with negative results.
In June after hearing nothing I decided to contact my local IRS office. I called and they do not take phone calls and if you want to speak with an agent you need to respond to their office. My first office contact was June 16. I was informed that they are very busy and have 180 days to clear this matter up. I requested to have the investigator contact me. At that time I was told, the investigator could not be contacted until July 21. (Time Requirement)
As I still did not hear anything, I again went to my local office, waiting several hours on the 21^st of July. At that time I inquired if both my name and SS number had been used and was told I could not be told, as it was part of the criminal investigation. I advised them I was retired with 31 years of law enforcement.
After not hearing anything I called the 800−829−0922 on Aug. 7 and after waiting for at least 1 hour on the phone my call was answered by Ms. Lee #1 001 756 597. I explained the circumstances at which time she apologized. I told her that was not necessary and she said someone should have told you to complete form, number 14 039, «Identity Theft Affidavit». This was the first time I had heard this. I explained that both my wife and I have Security Alerts with the three major credit agencies through 2019. I have a stop on my «passport» and all banks, credit cards and police reports.
Ms. Lee requested we both do this which was done and mailed on Aug 9. Affidavits were mailed to both Fresno, CA and Philadelphia PA. Ms. Lee was very professional and did a good job for the organization.
It is now August 24, 2015 a total of 94 days since my first letter was mailed to them and a total of 144 days since filing my 2014 taxes were mailed.
I do not think it is that difficult to figure out which tax return is ours and which is fraudulent. We have been at the same residence with the same telephone number for 42 years! I can see no reason not to process our return and go after the criminal without «victimizing» us again with delays. Furthermore when someone requests a telephone call three times and has been ignored for over 4 months — there is a communications problem with the organization or the individual assigned.
If this is the «standard operating procedure» the goals need to be raised and met. It would be different if you were paying me interest — interest only applies if I were late with my payment.
As the Federal Government was looking for feedback I hope this gives you an idea on how the job you are doing is being perceived. Please let me know if my expectations are too high when dealing with customer contacts or the circumstances surrounding this situation. Also if it helps getting the personnel needed to do the job you are assigned in a timely manner.

The IRS is a Government sanction of Legal Theft of the American people’s Money. They use your hard earned money to target Americans, and they will destroy you if possible. The IRS feel they are above the Laws made in this Country, by the very people we vote into office. They feel they are doing you a favor, where they are suppose to be the «Servants» to the American People, however they feel you are their «SERVANT». Many of the people who work for the IRS have targeted other American people for Political Gains. I feel they need to answer to the People here in the Country who want answers… just like they want answers when they ask you about how you spend or make your money…

This $hit just ain’t right, you guys.

The IRS must have read my review because I got a letter from them yesterday. Apparently I made a mistake on my tax form (have you seen those things!) and didn’t take a credit for which I was eligible. So they did it for me. And I’m getting a substantial sum back. =)
So to the IRS, I bump you up to a legitimate 2 stars (unlike my fake 2 stars from before to avoid being audited) for giving me my money back… in 6 – 8 weeks.

Amazing phone customer service once you breach the ridiculously extensive phone tree. Thanks to TV, comics, movies, and urban myth, I’ve always been terrified of the IRS. Irrational and stupid, I know. I blame the movie Meet Joe Black. What started as a call in to their technical support to report issues with my identifying information turned into a small nightmare where apparently they didn’t receive my tax return last year. Fortunately the guy was friendly, patient, and informative despite the late hour, and I feel a lot more relaxed about my situation. Now I just have to summon up the energy after work to submit last year’s federal paperwork and this year’s VA paperwork before the next three weeks fly by…

Whaaa??? why must you torment me with your bi-​monthly withholding and your year end blood bath.
Dang honestly why… there has to be a better way. Why can’t they just withhold a dynamic amount so that at the end of the year… were all square.
They could just send me a letter with my W2’s that essentially says «hey sign this, were all good»
