I did a review for this establishment when it was 12 Lounge, but I guess it’s non existent … so, here is my review. I’m writing this for the Unilocal record, LOL. I used to come here a lot when it was 12 Lounge to see one of my favorite bands, Familiar Faces(Team Familiar). Then as Touché, I would come to see The Fix Band. Great space, great central location on H Street, not pretentious(good vibe even with no dress code!) enough space to groove and get close and intimate with the band, the patrons were friendly. I enjoyed myself a lot. This is a good sized place on H Street with a casual, local vibe. First floor has dining tables and a bar(like a small local neighborhood bar), second floor has a bar and performing area with couches and tables(club atmosphere) and the rooftop(Skybar) is a gorgeous, large rooftop with a bar– great seating and hookah(sexy in the city vibe!) Each floor is a different experience. I haven’t had real food here, but I have had the bar food. The bar food is cool with the drinks. Nothing super memorable, but the drinks are even less memorable. While this place has so much to offer, the service is hit or miss, the drinks don’t hit the spot and the bathrooms are run down elementary school bathrooms. I wish they would get their bathrooms together. The star of the establishment is the rooftop. If anything, you should vicious just got that.

Went for comedy. Sat at the bar. Ordered a weak JD& Ginger and a bland turkey burger & fries. Knew I wouldn’t be ordering anything else, so I paid my tab. They have the gratuity added in on the bill. I HATE this! Once I notice(it’s dark in there) I heavily scratch out the tip I wrote in. Not leaving; just paid the bill. When I turn back towards the bar to my food, from watching the comedy(I was still munching on the french fries)… The waitress has taken my food and my drink! Where they do that at??? I’m sitting right there and she doesn’t have the sense to ask if I’m finished? Granted she kept offering to get me more fries… but I was aggravated. Today I find out that the waitress, Alicia added $ 5.00 tip to my check on top of the gratuity that was already on there! She stole $ 5.00!!! When I call and speak to the manager, Steve, he’s says we’ll talk to her…(like no big deal she stole) You can come by and get all of your gratuity back… Really dude?!? That’s all you will do? Never again!!! Watch your bill! Poor girl. She doesn’t understand good service will give you better tips and you wouldn’t have to steal!

Hole in the wall. The lazy bartender forgot to bring my food. PLEASE don’t eat here. Horrible service I won’t ever be here again. Then to top it off the manager says sorry we forgot to bring out your food but we’ll give you10% off. #FOH. Then on top of all of this I paid $ 350 for a table with bottle service.

So so so good! Omg. Fish and Grits! Mac & Cheese. But they were out of collard greens. Who does that? Besides that great customer service. Nice atmosphere. And right around the corner. Support your community.

Came for a Cinco de Mayo party. Let’s just say the place has major potential. It’s a beautiful venue. The problem is with the staff and the management of the staff. The main floor has one bartender, who was overwhelmed because patrons from the 2nd level were coming down to get drinks from her because was EXTREMELYSLOW. The 2nd level… very disorganized. Waited 30 minutes to get a drink because first they were out of cups; then ice; then they had no Patron. Wait, no Patron? It’s Cinco de Mayo for goodness sakes. If you don’t catch a happy hour, the drinks are very expensive. VERY. $ 12 – 15. The menu for food is probably the best thing there. Collard greens, fried corn, catfish, etc. But be prepared to wait for at least 30 minutes.

Touché DC recently allowed me to host a birthday brunch for my 30th birthday. Carmen, the general manager, was so helpful and responsive during the planning process. She worked with me to put together a buffet menu for our group and allowed me to confirm the large group reservation in advance. On the day of, my guests were able to pay for the $ 30 all-you-can-eat buffet and bottomless mimosas/bellinis by cash or card. The buffet featured a made-to-order omelette station, waffle station, salmon croquettes, fried fish, turkey sausage, pork sausage, bacon, breakfast potatoes, sautéed vegetables, and several other items. My waffle and omelette were delicious as were the breakfast potatoes. The bartender did a great job of keeping our glasses filled with mimosas and bellinis. I do like my drinks on the strong side, so I asked for a bit more champagne in mine. Our seating was reserved and waiting when we arrived. Carmen also allowed me to bring in a DJ to play music during brunch. After brunch, we hung out on the beautifully decorated rooftop, which allowed us amazing views of the DC area. They do offer hookah at 5pm on Sundays, but we didn’t have time to stay and try it out. In all, it was a great Sunday Funday and a truly memorable way to close out my 30th birthday weekend. Thank you again to the Touché’ staff for helping to make my birthday a great one! I’ll definitely be back in the future.

Ok so I was trying to give this place a chance but… I got here at 8:15 tonight. I ordered my drink then food at 8:55. Ok then once I got my food at 9:20 I received my lemon pepper wings and old bay fries with no sauce for my wings! The fries had a hint maybe a smig gent yes smig gent of old bay. Now I ordered my partner fish and grits suppose to have shrimp with it. No flavor at all! You have to beg the waiter to stop to give us drinks. It’s now 9:36 still haven’t had a drink yet. I’m so hungry I went ahead and eat the wings. Still thirsty and wish I could have a drink. I’m about to go and walk to the bar to get my own damn drink! Please please hire more people or train your people how to cater to a big crowd. The manager finally comes tried to make it better! Not good at all still not feeling it. No napkins why I just can’t win! Thinking of walking out on the bill! I paid 14.00 for a shot of 1800 and received it in a plastic cup. My friend ordered the same thing. She received a glass cup with way more drink. I’m confused. She didn’t order a rail drink. She ordered ciroc I’m confused again!

I’ve been to the rooftop several times for a night out. Lots of stairs to climb though. Bathroom needs a face lift and more tissue but the food was great and so were the drinks for the happy hour.

We arrived late and was grateful for a bar that was still serving food on a Tuesday. The cook allowed us to order our food past the cutoff; hats off to the chef. Then it went downhill. One, who runs out of cognac midweek? You don’t have alternatives like a normal bar? Second, why are things on your menu that don’t exist in your freezer? If I order a steak from the menu, shouldn’t you have steak? Third, why did my burger come out well done when I asked for it medium? Medium is extremely easy to cook. Lastly, WHYARETHEREFINGERPRINTIMPRINTSINMYBURGER!!! WHOPRESSESDOWNINTO A BURGERSOHARDTHATYOUCANSEETHREEDISTINCTDENTS?!? I’m never going here again. Your food sucks(minus the catfish balls, pretty good). Your music dates back to 2003. And your staff needs training. Do better Touché.

Came here for brunch this past Sunday. $ 30 all you can eat and Mimosas or Belini’s The food selection was okay. Grits, potatoes, some kind of slow simmered apples, little chicken wings, yellow rice, fish, bacon(pork and turkey) and a few other things with a omelet and waffle station. Also they had banana pudding and a house salad. There was no fruit available to choose from. Some of the food was over cooked, while others were under cooked. I did enjoy the cheesey grits and yellow rice tho. The bartender/server was extremely slow! At one point, the«waffle maker» was helping everyone out, refilling the drinks from the already pre made mimoas in the fridge. We weren’t even buzzed by the time we left. Poor customer service on her part. And while she was behind the bar, there was at least 20 mins before she even came back around and refilled our drinks. The ambiance was nice. A little dark, light old school R&B playing Will not be returning.

I came here to watch a live performer, however the place was empty. Only my(small) group was there. The event was held in a nice lounge area and it’s a shame the space went to waste. They were out of a lot of items on the menu even though food selection was poor to begin with. Service was really slow(like 30 min for food to arrive) and quality of the dishes was mediocre. We had undercooked cheese fries and underwhelming catfish nuggets. There’s a really nice rooftop bar with a good view. The vibe is much more laid back than the lounge area. There’s also a first floor dining area. I think this place has a lot of potential but needs to figure out if it’s trying to be a night club, restaurant, or chill hangout. They also need better servers, bar tenders, and promoters.

AVOIDAVOIDAVOID. Poor service, cold, greasy food, couldn’t even get their POS machine to work.(Nearest ATM is across the street at Little Miss Whiskey’s.) I give the owners credit for a nice exterior and name.

Touché was ok. Very clean, nice décor, great view! But I went on a club promo night expecting to see an local artist and it was empty! Not to mention the artist never showed. Now, because I’m a loyal Washingtonian I will visit again I might even host an event here and show Hst how it’s done right!

I’ve been here twice during happy hour to the downstairs bar. I haven’t been to the upstairs levels but I hear they’re nice. The happy hour drinks are priced well with $ 4 beer and $ 5 wine. It is kind of dark inside which they need to do something about. Some better lights would work wonders. I walked up wondering if they were open. I ordered the fish dinner and it was pretty good. The fish was seasoned well and the mac and cheese was pretty tasty. I had collard greens but they needed some work as far as flavor. When I came for happy hour the music was way too loud and lots of offensive music with lots of profanity. Now I enjoy a good«trap» song but not at happy hour, not blaring so loud that I can’t have a convo, and not with the profanity. I don’t mean just«f» bombs, I mean«p*ssy» bombs. Very uncomfortable. I’m trying to unwind after work and just chat not sit and listen to that. Save that for the evening party. Other than that I give it a two star bc the food is actually decent. Management just needs to really take another course on running a business, specifically a restaurant. They ran out of a few food items the second time I was there. Also, staff could be a tad bit more professional.

Brunch was ok. There is not a wide variety of food selections. I got there at 1:00 and I never saw the food replenished. The mimosa and Bellini’s although«bottomless» they taste like 95% juice and 5% champagne. I wouldn’t go again.

I would give it 0 stars if I could. The food was awful save for the fried chicken. Half of our party had decent omelets and the other half were undercooked. Unlimited mimosas and bellinis aren’t uncommon in D.C. and at least they’re not watered down at other places. First and last time coming here.

Wonderful hidden gem on H St. At first glance it seems like a hole in the wall until you walk up those stairs only to realize the 2nd flood is a full on lounge/club with a bar. Continue to walk up to the roof and that my dear is in my opinion the best part of this place, THEROOF!!! Amazing view of H St, comfy chairs and they play great music. The food was also pretty decent, chef was very nice along with the staff.

Came for a friend’s birthday brunch. this used be a spot called twelve or as i called it the salt spot. under new owners now. so once we get upstairs the tables are nice and such, but it still dark inside to me. They had a DJ blaring music so really couldn’t talk to your guests, but you could yell! the food was in the dark and the egg stations was really in the dark. that to me is unsafe for all parties. they ran out of plate and took a min to get new ones, friend asked for cream and sugar after waiting 20 mins for a cup of coffee, and they gave her a full carafe of cream and a bowl of sugar. she never was given a spoon so she had to use the spoon from the sugar bowl. Really, who give a guest a full big carafe of cream for one cup of coffee. Then she stood over her waiting for her to mix her coffee. the food isn’t anything to write home to anyone about. the grits was very good, chicken was good, but needed a hint more seasoning, and some had under cooked food. the sausage and shrimp was more sausage than shrimp, the eggs in the buffet were odd colored(it was dark), so didn’t try it. they had cupcakes that were overcooked(dry) with duncan hines frosting on it. they would do better getting their bakery items from a local shop or something. people did love the egg and waffle station. they were made fresh and fluffy and you got a lot. You get unlimited bellinis and mimosas, but they weren’t very strong at all. felt like i was drinking juice. I wouldn’t pay $ 30 again to come here when there are hundreds of better spots ion the area. the only thing that saved them was the rooftop area with the hookah and great views. the shisha was subpar, as i have had better at home and wasn’t smooth at all.

TERRIBLLEEEEEEEEE. Patron on 5÷5÷15 from 7:15pm — 9:15pm No stars should be given. Understaffed. No customer service. Poor lounge atmosphere. Inexperienced, top to bottom. Tasty food, but poorly cooked. And on and on… Please hire some professional help and more staff.

For $ 30 all you can eat and unlimited mimosas and bellinis, I call this a win. Also they have a nice selection to eat from. Their fried chicken was good and evenly seasoned. The scene is very urban and welcoming, from the hostess to the waitresses. The only issues that anyone will complain about is the lighting where the food is. I definitely see myself coming again.
