I give five stars for the
Merchandise and zero for customer service. Aside from Jeremiah, the people who work at this place are either completely brain dead or could care less about their customers. It’s a shame because I love the store but I won’t be spending another dollar there.

I can’t believe Grace and Veronica are no longer with Timothy Paul. They were fantastic! Neither were afraid to offer suggestions or give an honest opinion when I was picking out dining room chairs, fabric to upholster a chair, or linens. I took in some Limoges china we inherited from my partner’s parents that was a little more gold and flashy than I would have chosen. Grace was fantastic at picking out some table linens to make the china look great and modern (very TP style) and it was not typical white tablecloth either. I went in this weekend and learned that Grace and Veronica are no longer at TP. The new staff were friendly, but they were all lurking around you, even Tim the owner. It was so uncomfortable that it will be a while before I will be back. This is the reason for the 3 stars. I will surely miss Grace and Veronica.

Very expensive

This place may be small, but it sure does pack a punch for its square-​feet.
My husband and I spent the day going up and down 14^th street looking in every furniture store for the perfect table for our TV. We popped in here and found exactly what we were looking for! And actually, fell in love with everything else they had too!
The staff was great! They went above and beyond when answering our many questions and did so with a smile.
We will be back and that is a promise!

It’s a nice upscale store with quality Italian brands and a very friendly staff. However, be very careful about sizing and «special orders.» We ordered a queen set with standard pillow cases and, after a one week wait, with great excitement took the set home. When I opened one of the pillow cases (standard size), it reached my waist. I called the store and they initially said, sorry, it’s a special order, nothing we can do. To which I responded, um, that is not acceptable, one pillow case practically fits the entire queen bed. They then offered to «alter» the pillow cases, which I was not interested in! After much talk, they finally agreed to return the product provided I pay a return fee. Seriously? You provided ME with a product that did not match my order, why am I being penalized for not receiving standard pillow cases? In any event, just make sure you know exactly what you are getting before placing a special order. Unfortunately, they lost us as long term customers (bad business economics on their part).

Fabulous stuff. Fabulous staff. Wait for sales if you can though :)

Recently I realized that I may have taken the decorations in my bedroom from a hint of tribal to over the edge. My apartment is a mix of Ikea and higher end furniture from my parents. However, I am happy to spend more on pillows, blankets and similar pieces. I think you can tell a huge difference in the color and it is unlikely that a lot of other friends own the same pieces.
Timonthy Paul has amazing pillows and throws. They also have great furniture that is slightly out of my price range. I love John Robshaw textiles and this is the place to get them in DC. While the pieces are amazing, they are fairly expensive and rarely on sale at this store. Occasionally they will have 10% to 20% off. If I had the money, I would be here all the time!
If you are not dying to get a particular pillow or throw, you can usually find pieces from the same designers on

. However, there usually isn’t a wide selection on these discount websites so you have to be willing to take what is available.

I’m a big fan. I was looking high and low for accessories to add color and finishing touches to my apartment. I found a hip red side table and several colorful vases and bowls.
I really liked the whole vibe and most everything in the store. Lots of beautiful pillows and throws. Unlike some furniture stores on 14^th/​u street that are kind of empty with only a few pieces to choose from, this place was well-​stocked and full of gems.
The salespeople were helpful and nice.
The 4 stars are only because it’s rather pricey.

While many of their products from carpets to bed linens can be pricey, they have great sales on a regular basis. During the epic DC snowstorm in January, you could get as much as 20−30% off everything in the store!
