Today, Ley and his team are behind some of the most celebrated Washington, DC construction projects. The reason? Discerning property owners and architects look to The Ley Group for a rare ability to capture and deliver on their vision with impeccable craftsmanship and personal attention to every facet of the construction process.

Meet the Business Owner

Simon L.

Business Owner

After college, Simon took a couple of years off to sail and see the world’s architecture in all its diversity. The chance to work on multi million-dollar custom homes in Miami for Wallace Tutt, however, compelled him to drop anchor. Tutt recruited Simon to begin the development of a 30,000 square foot warehouse on the 14th Street corridor into 14 luxury loft condos. He also spearheaded the renovation of Wallace’s personal home in Kalorama. It was also during this time that Simon was selected and appeared as part of the DC cast for the hit HGTV show, Designed To Sell.

After proving his abilities with essentially the best in the business, Simon knew it was time to start his own firm. He formed The Ley Group, which is has grown to become the award-winning firm behind some of Washington, DC’s most prestigious building projects.

To Simon, the role of «Principal» is a hands-on endeavor. He oversees the work of every employee and subcontractor on each TLG project weekly, if not more often.
