I was hesitant to come here with all the dismal reviews, my experience was great, friendly, fast service & a perfect mocha on a Monday morning.

No toilet paper in bathroom, my $ 5 latte lacked the taste of espresso and tasted more like warm milk.

Came here for a quick coffee and breakfast sandwich. Coffee was okay, nothing amazing. Had to wait more than 10 minutes for a premade breakfast sandwich. I counted 5 people order after me and get their sandwiches before was ready. Would not return again.

Incredibly understaffed Starbucks with long(15min+ wait times, even during off-peak hours), only to find out that they’re out of what you want(whole milk in particular).

Probably the worse Starbucks I’ve been to in a long time. While taking my order the cashier was talking to another associate telling her how to make a drink, then when I got my drink, they gave me the wrong one. Instead of making a fresh one she used the one she already made me that tasted like garbage. Don’t waste your time going here and just go to one of the ones in Union Station.

The worst Starbucks. Went there the other day. It was snowing, and the walkway was not cleared. It was very slippery and dangerous. All of the walkways were shoveled within eyeshot except for the Starbucks. Even the slummy liquor store across the street was shoveled. you know the type of liquor store that accepts food stamps. Anyway back to the Starbucks. They took my order for sandwiches. They didn’t have one of them and waited until the rest of my order was ready to tell me that. I had to wait another 5 minutes to get an alternate choice. Even that choice was wrong. The store was chaos for a medium traffic shop. go to the Hyatt down the street. there is a mini Starbucks there.

Friendly staff, and of course the coffee is solid. Quiet, cozy and ready for business at 6AM on Sunday morning. Close to Union Station, convenient street parking. Very clean.

I do not recommend this Starbucks to any of the people in this area– I would rather walk three blocks to Union Station and wait on those ridiculous lines for my drink to be made correctly. A while ago, I ordered a White Chocolate Mocha in the morning on my way into work. By the time I took my first sip, I was too far away to return… I received a hot chocolate instead of a White Chocolate Mocha! The price difference between the two is significant and that made me even more upset! Today, having learned my lesson, I ordered my White Chocolate Mocha and took a sip immediately when I received my drink… it was a hot chocolate again! I told the barista that my drink was a hot chocolate and not a White Chocolate Mocha– I was treated to an unfavorable facial expression by the barista(because I was sincerely bothering him with this, even though Starbucks preaches if the drink isnt right, they will remake it) — instead of remaking it, he added something to my drink and handed it back to me. It now tastes like mostly water and foam, and a little burnt chocolate… this drink has no flavor and is definitely not what I paid for! I did not return to the barista a second time because of his reaction the first time. I do not recommend this Starbucks, which is sad because there are so many people in this area. I will no longer be giving the baristas opportunities to redeem themselves, especially with the prices I pay only to receive an underwhelming and flavorless drink!

When music is on, It is way too loud in this Starbucks! The baristas can’t even hear your order. So unpleasant! Service is fine, but lines can be long during peak hours. And don’t plan on coffee to meet a friend here — very little seating.

I love starbucks but this is definitely not the friendliest or quickest. I have had to remind them of food I’ve ordered long after I’ve received my drink. Try out the one in Union Station!

First time in Washington, first time at this Starbucks. The two women working were rude and soooooo slow! They were not friendly at all, I did interrupt their chat about their day, so that may have been why? I’m from California, and these women can really learn a lot about customer service from my local Starbucks staff who are always speedy and friendly!

REALLY bad service. TERRIBLY slow. Lots of people running around, not much getting done. This morning, one poor woman was eight people ahead of me and there was an arrogant jerk three to four people behind me. The poor woman was left to wait for her very basic drink while prima donna boy barked orders on what he wanted(grande in a venti cup served to him at the counter) and was put to the front of the line. VERYUNCOOL. The team here does not even seem to try or care. Apparentely bad behavior here gets you some prioritized attention.

I am usually near this location in the afternoons, so it has become my go-to location for my afternoon fix. This particular location can be slow at times, but they have always made my drink to order so I can’t complain. I have learned that in the afternoons, especially where there are deals happening, to arrive a little early if you have some place to be. There also seems to be a lot of begging near the location. You have your choice of action there, but just thought I would mention it.

There’s nothing overwhelmingly special about this particular location. It is located across the street from Washington Court hotel and diagonally located to Liaison Hotel. On Sundays the staff is rather sparse so expect longer wait times to order and get rung up. The location is right with windows on two sides and the music is played at a reasonable level.

Really slow and the cashier stole 15 bucks from me. Gave her a twenty claimed it was a 5. They«counted the drawer» in the back and came out and lied about the drawer being right. Avoid these thieves

Terrible service… I was told«we don’t have decaf, do you want regular?»…really? I thought I was at Starbucks! They can do a pour-over or decaf Americano. They had me wait 10 minutes for being a decaf customer

It takes a lot for me to write a review based solely off of service but it was so terrible here that I had to. Walked in and it was fairly empty and no one in line. We were not greeted, he just looked at me with a look of «are you going to order???» On his face. I ordered and paid and when me drink was ready the woman who made it walked it over to me. I said thank you, she said nothing and walked away. The drink tasted fine but the service left a sour taste in my mouth.

This Starbucks is really slow! I don’t know if they are short staffed but it took a really long time to get our drinks! They didn’t have bagels or drink carriers so overall the experience was lacking. In DC there so many other Starbucks you can go to so avoid if you can.

Came in to get coffee two days during our vacation. Flies in the food case. Two days in a row. That is all.

In a good Starbucks when there’s a line the barista calls out to ask if anyone would like an espresso drink. That way your drink is working while you pay. Oh and usually a friendly good morning too. Here? Not so much. The coffee? My latte is always perfectly drinkable but sometimes has more foam, sometimes less; sometimes is really hot, sometimes not; occasionally they give me the wrong size. I hit this outpost on New Jersey Ave(my home state :) most weekdays about 6:30am, it’s just too convenient. The line is usually short at that hour. I’m not gonna gripe that the regular employees don’t know my order, whatever. But they just don’t make much of an effort so it gets a «meh» because yeah, I’ve definitely experienced better.
