The blueberry pies and the coffee is great but the music is dreadful. I understand that it’s hard to cater to all tastes but it was played so loud that I left before finishing my coffee.

I’ve been to Corner Bakery nearly everyday of my visit. It’s cheaper than the other places. This location is cleaner. It is near the Hyatt Regency and Union Station. There are a lot of homeless people near the restaurant. Each visit there was a homeless person talking to himself or screaming in the back of the restaurant. Today one guy was going around the restaurant yelling angrily. No one seemed to mind except me. Employees and patrons walked by him as if he didn’t exist. No one asked him to leave. The food is standard and nothing special. I had half a panini and chips. Each day the panini tastes like the one I had the day before. The staff at the counter don’t appear to like their jobs but are friendly enough. The staff bussing the tables always seem to be smiling. I will return here. The food hasn’t made me sick and I haven’t been attacked.

I am a point when a place earns a one star they truly don’t need a review. However, they need constructive feedback. 1.) when a line is out the door. Open a second line. Especially when you have an employee just standing there. 2.) when taking 20 minutes to make our food make sure it’s correct. 3.) don’t blame how busy you are. You are always this busy. 4.) Just apologize. Because sometimes that’s all you can do. 5.) please don’t let me see you protesting at the next protest for wages to be at 15.00. Overall bad experience. Wish I could give 0 stars.

The coffee is terrrrible. You are going to need so much cream and sugar to make it acceptable. Speaking of bad coffee, the bathrooms have a code lock on the door, so you should ask. Because of its proximity to the train station, or le gare as classy people say, it’s often overrun with that lovely combination of homeless people and middle class people with huge suitcases. Food is fairly standard for Corner Bakery.

Went to DC for a few days and had breakfast every morning here. It was a short walk from my hotel and very convenient. The food doesn’t disappoint and service was quick.

My family & i stayed in the area for 4 nights and ate here every morn. We were typical tourists. But the staff here were very patient and helpful every time. Yes, they are a bit abrupt but i would be too if i had to deal w/tourists all day too.

This place is great! It’s conveniently located close to my job & Union station. The employees are always professional & courteous. Like all businesses they have their slow & fast days. On the fast days the place is packed & the line is out to the 1st double doors. The food is always prepared to acceptable standards, including plate presentations. However I think there only down fall are the employees who do not wear hair nets. On two sperate occasions, months apart, I’ve found both long & short strands of hair in my food. I knew it wasn’t mine because the hair was a light golden brown color & my hair is jet black. Of course I returned the food & they refunded my money both times w/apologies. I know sometimes hair naturally sheds but I as a customer should not have to wonder or worry about finding hair in my food every time I purchase a meal. I hope that the employees, both cooks & cashiers, start wearing hair nets soon! It would be disastrous if, unbeknownst to them, someone of great importance to that company ate there one day only to find hair in the food

I’ve never seen such a disorganized restaurant. While the food was acceptable, and staff was cordial, every order seemed to take over 30 minutes. Parties around us were all complaining. We saw one party get up, demand a refund, and leave out of frustration.

Food was good had pasta with chicken. Took a very long time to come out. The aggravating thing was all I wanted was grated cheese with my meal and the lady could not speak enough English to understand me and so she never came back.

Not a place I go back to. The food is below average. The service is subpar. The paninis are not really pannis but more of toasts. One of them looked like was spit inside. I didn’t eat it not really sure if that was the spit or some weird sauce. The only plus is the location.

Slow service. They lost our order. Line out the door and did not open additional registers. All coffee urns were empty with the exception of the flavored coffee, hazelnut. Many people were waiting a long time for their food. They have some serious service concerns.

Stopped in for breakfast out of convenience, and it was really good and fresh. Like other reviewers, I agree that it’s very much like an elevated version of Panera Bread or pretty much just a different version of Panera. Ordered the Anaheim Breakfast Panini with a side of fruit. It was a delicious mix of scrambled eggs, avocado, bacon, and cheddar cheese sandwiched between two slices of buttered and toasted sourdough bread. Perfect size for sharing for a light breakfast. Fruit was pretty good as well, but it was definitely something that had been sitting in the fridge in the while, but it’s okay. The pumpkin latte I ordered was pretty awesome! I’m a huge PSL person and I really loved this version of it… maybe even more than the starbucks version! I don’t really like coffee to begin with so this had more of a pumpkin taste than coffee and I appreciated that. Yay for yummy breakfasts! Awesome employees with lots of enthusiasm and energy. I just wish they cleaned up a bit more during peak hours, but no big. Will be back!

Very Poorly run business. I can’t rate the food, it’s probably not bad but it’s 11:30 and we ordered breakfast at 1040 and still haven’t been served. Order number 148 just got served and we are order number 105. Don’t go here on a weekend it’s not worth the risk of wasting your Saturday morning.

Pretty good café with lots to choose from. Got the Anaheim Scramble, a Bacon and Cheddar Panini, and a clam chowder. All were pretty delicious. I especially liked that the scramble came with a side of fruit. The fruit was super yummy. The clam chowder, though quite satisfying, tasted like it was Campbell’s canned soup. Not that that is a bad thing — just expected fresh clam chowder. Feels very much like a Panera. They have plenty of seating and plugs if you need to charge your gadgets during your stay.

Staying in the area for a night I was able to visit corner bakery twice, once for a late night snack(M&M chocolate chip cookies) and once for breakfast(Egg, Bacon, Cheese Panini). The cookies were delicious, not too soft, not too hard but definitely hitting the spot, giving me what I wanted when I wanted it. The breakfast was interesting. The menu has breakfast panini’s listed at around $ 4, a side is offered for $ 1 more(fruit salad) and then the drink is additional. My panini was what you would expect from an ABP or Panera style place, pretty basic breakfast sandwich with eggs, bacon, and a white cheddar cheese. The surprise was the fruit salad, which was actually pretty comprised of fresh fruits, sliced strawberries, blueberries, melon. Convenient for anyone who is near or around Union Station, I would recommend stopping in for breakfast.
