Dr Spiegelman is wonderful. He does the teeth cleaning himself so in my first visit, he was able to catch a major crack in my tooth that my prior dentist had missed for maybe 4 years. I would have lost the tooth were it not for him. He’s also just all around a really nice man who genuinely cares about his patients as individuals. Would not see anyone else in town!

Dr. Spiegelman was recommended to me by a well-known periodontist in the area, and he hasn’t disappointed. He’s a good, solid dentist. The office is run on a bit of a shoestring(e.g., leave a message if it goes to voicemail when you call — the front desk seems to only be manned part-time), but one thing this means is that he does your cleaning himself, as opposed to a hygenist doing it. Also he is really good about not recommending expensive and unnecessary procedures or devices.

I am by no means a germaphobe but I must say this office gave me the creeps! the dentist touched everything with the same gloves he was using to examine me with: the door, the phone, the cabinet, etc… The light handle and x-ray machine handles were not covered with any plastic seal to exchange between patients, so you could see the dirty handprints from previous use. I cannot imagine how many mouths he has touched without ever cleaning the exam room surfaces. Overall, Dr. Spigelman was thorough, and seemed competent. Extremely chatty and personable, so I cannot complain about him personally. The cleanliness was a big issue for me as well as the clutter in the office. I cannot bring myself to go back.
