Siam House is a delightfully cozy Thai restaurant in Cleveland Park, Washington, D.C. We are family owned and operated and take pride in our Thai cuisine. Since changing ownership/​management in May 2008, our focus for this quaint establishment is to provide the most authentic and traditional Thai cuisine for our guests with friendly service befitting this rustic Cleveland Park neighborhood.

DELICIOUS. This small neighborhood spot is everything that you’d want or need. i have been going here for years. the waitresses and the guy who runs the place have always been friendly and attentive.
The food is top notch Thai food. Authentic, fresh and always on time and made as spicy or mild as you desire. Never had a bad experience here no matter how crowded. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

Love it! All of the classics — pad Thai, spicy fried rice, pineapple fried rice, curries, drunken noodle– are excellent. The spicy options are quite spicy. Friendly service at the restaurant or with delivery.

The food is actually pretty good. There’s pretty limited seating but we’ve always managed to find a table. The food you eat there is usually a little better than ordering delivery but I still really like their seafood drunken noodles! they’re super spicy and delicious!

Pretty good! I went there for lunch with my friends. It was around 13:00, not so busy. The tiny restaurant has about 10 big and small tables. College students, wives, a man, and a family there.
Taste: Pretty good! I wanted some cilantro tho. I like their not too sweet Pat Thai and authentic Thom Kha?! Coconut milk and lime juice and etc… Interesting but tasty. Green curry tastes good with lots of vegetables too. Spring rolls looked so good. I should try it next time.
Price: Pretty good! Lunch special is under $ 10. Chose 1 appetizer and 1 entrée and 1 soft drink.
Customer service: Pretty good. Oh, they should clean the bathroom and jackets next to the bar counter.
Parking: Pretty bad. It’s hard to find cheap ones around here besides Sun. It’s close to a metro station and National zoo btw.

Loved the menu options and the fact that there wasn’t a wait list on a Friday evening. They were really accommodating too. Our table request quickly mushroomed from 4 to 9 and they sat us without any hesitation.
Our food was good. We ordered a wide range of plates. No complaints from anyone. A few were not a fan of the tofu because the texture was kind of squishy and mushy, very different from tofu I’ve eaten, but I personally didn’t think it was bad. The food is a little sweeter than usual, but most diners probably enjoy this.
Our server seemed a little annoyed with us because of communication barriers. One order was incorrect and another was correct but misunderstood. Totally understand her frustration there, but made us feel really awkward when we asked her to split the check as well (most servers hate this).
Overall, good place to dine, especially if you don’t want to wait several hours to eat on a weekend.

Visiting DC, my husband discovered this local gem. We are Thai lovers, and very particular about Thai Restaurants we frequent. Siam Thai did not disappoint us. I would have added more photos, but we devoured everything too quickly.
The space is small, no more than 26 patrons (at 13 tables) will fit. They clearly have tons of takeout business which doesn’t detract from the dine-​in experience. The service was fast and the food was SO FRESH! The curry puffs and seafood salads are highly recommended. The seafood yellow curry was amazing. The Lad Na was also very delicious. My husband enjoyed the seafood drunken noodle which was very spivey (he loves it spivey).
All in all, we had a great experience here. I you’re in DC, Siam is a must.

This remains my favorite Thai spot in DC. Today I called and asked for something new and the gentleman taking my order recommended shrimp cakes. They were delicious! They looked similar to chicken nuggets but instead of ground chicken, it was ground deep fried shrimp patties.
I’ve been coming here since my first review in October 2011 and I have yet to consider going to a different Thai place since then even though it’s definitely not the closest Thai restaurant to my house.
No negative experiences.

Stumbled upon this Thai restaurant while walking around Georgetown and this was one of the best Thai places I have eaten around the DMV area! Had the dinner special and I had to share with my friend because the portions were huge! The spring rolls were great (but there is no meat, just veggies) and the pad thai was delicious. Service was wonderful too and the owner was extremely helpful. Oh, and their Happy Hour lasts until 9pm :)

This is actually the place for delicious Thai food! It’s an informal area type of place. The food and beverages are extremely fairly priced. It is now one of my favourite Thai restaurants. My buddies as well as I frequent this area this past summer. We adore dining outside with a good chill craft of the home chardonnay (which is very well priced. I find it to be refreshing and not at all oaky like your typical chardonnay). Each time we have gone, we locate ourselves extensively content and pleased with the food along with the service. We generally purchase our tried and true dishes (our favorites: the chicken with eggplants, hot fried rice, and drunken noodles) and their monthly special or something distinct. We have not been disappointed yet!

If you’re looking for amazing Thai food in the DC area… please do your taste buds a favor and visit this location!
The restaurant itself isn’t as pretty as it could be but the food more than makes up for it.
Pad Thai is my go-​to, especially the shrimp kind. My friends tend to order chicken but after tasting both, shrimp wins hands down. Or maybe I’m obsessed with shrimp. The tom Kha soup is also good with chicken, but even better with shrimp.
Either way, the sauce it comes with is the best I’ve ever had. So good that it ruins others restaurants pad Thai. It doesn’t stop the occasional craving for whatever is close by, but I always mentally compare each bite. This place wins every single time. I can’t even tell you why! It’s just a brown sauce, but the flavor is so perfect.
It’s also conveniently located by the Cleveland Park metro stop, to the left (west).

Delicious Thai food in an intimate, casual atmosphere.
When you first walk in, you’ll notice this restaurant makes the best of limited space, in that they’ve managed to place a number of tables in a relatively small area without it feeling cramped.
Regardless of your space preferences, you’ll probably forget your surroundings when the food is served — delicious, authentic, flavorful Thai food, and vegetarian-​friendly to boot! We had the mango curry with tofu and vegetables, which was spicy, creamy, and had actual mangos in it (my first with a mango curry). We also split the pad see eaw with tofu — perhaps a more conventional dish but tasty nevertheless — which nicely offset the fiery curry.
Our service was quick and friendly, and we were fortunately seated as soon as we came in. Because the seating is so limited, you might want to prepare for a wait, but they seemed to seat everyone pretty quickly. Would highly recommend this to anyone seeking good Thai food near Cleveland Park!

Yummy curries and not-​crazy-​expensive wines. I’d suggest this place if you happen to be in the Cleveland Park area and want to go to a nice place for dinner. I ordered red curry with tofu. The coconut flavor was fantastic and the vegetable selection with the tofu filled me with joy. The place is small and appeared to be pretty crowded when I went. Don’t let that deter you, as the food is worth the small wait. It’s a great option for dinner prior to or after visiting the Zoo Lights.

Siam House is easily my favorite Thai in DC. It is our go to for ‘hey let’s get takeout.’ Where Siam House excels is their specialties and specials.
My favorite dish is the Siam House Noodle with chicken or shrimp. It is a wide rice noodle stir fried with chili paste, peppers and onions, and cashews. YES YES YES it is one of my favorite dishes in all of DC and a must try if you like gummy noodles. Also really good are the Lad Na (my favorite I have had, I like it with beef or chicken), Beef Siam (big pieces of marinated steak served with crunchy mixed veggies), and the Chicken Pineapple. Also check the changing monthly specials. They add Thai street food and fun things from time to time.
I have had better staples like Pad Thai and Thai spicy fried rice so it gets four stars out of five. That said the dishes above are five stars for me. Delivery time varies on how busy they are but is usually pretty quick. The two mile delivery window works for us in McLean Gardens. The restaurant is nice inside but very small.

My fiancé and I dropped our pup off at a grooming appointment across the street and decided to grab dinner, Siam was packed and Thai sounded good!
The outside tables were practically full, so we asked to be seated inside where we basically had the entire dining room to ourselves, very intimate ;)
Our server was extremely friendly. Service was quick and absolutely great.
I was surprised to see that everyone had such high ratings. My fiancé and I were craving noodles, so we ordered:
Seafood Pad Thai — Overcooked, too dark and seafood wasn’t fresh. Shrimp and squid were find, but the mussels and scallops tasted odd, and not fresh. I couldn’t eat them and just left them on the side of the plate. Ech…
Beef Pad See Ew — Flavorful, and prepared well. Good dish.
From the reviews, it seems they do a wonderful job with curries, and other dishes. If we were to come back, I would definitely try a curry. I just don’t suggest the seafood dishes, based on my experience.
Prices are standard for Thai in this area.

This is the first Thai restaurant that I have found in DC that I have really loved.
The location is perfect, since it is right by the metro. They also have a super adorable patio that can be reserved.
The staff is incredibly, and you can tell just from that and the décor that the food is going to be good.
I ordered the Drunken Noodles spicy with chicken, and it was actually spicy. I often get questioned about my spice level choices, and this results in me getting dishes that are not as spicy as they could be. It was absolutely fantastic. I loved it.
My dining companion ordered the pad thai, and she was less impressed. The tofu was extremely oily, and she was surprised by the lime taste. The pad thai also had cauliflower, which is not something either have us have seen before.
Overall, I will definitely be back.

Stopped in here for a quick lunch before catching a movie nearby. The food was pretty good and the $ 10 lunch specials are hard to beat. The chicken fried rice made for a solid dish and medium spicy actually had a bit of kick to it. But it wasn’t anything to head out to Cleveland Park especially for. The vegetable spring rolls were a bit a disappointing. It was nice that one order came with four of them and it was only $ 5, but they were very oily and felt a little empty on the inside. Not a bad place though to stop in for a fast, inexpensive lunch.

I normally hate Thai food, but Siam House made me a believer again. I’ve never had good Thai food in NY. I can’t believe it took me coming to DC to change my mind. I specifically had the Pad Eggplant dish. It was so freaking delicious, that I came back and had it again the following day, and I plan to just make a trip out there just to eat there again. I was craving it so much that I looked up the recipe online and tried to make it myself while in NY. During my meeting at a condo, I even started talking to a guy who mainly wanted to stay in the neighborhood because he wanted to be close to Siam House. Lol. Thanks for making me believe in Thai food again, Siam House. P. S. — I would try to not order from the lunch menu. I know the lunch menu is tempting, but the rest of the menu has so much going on that’s not the stupid typical pad thai with chicken, pork, or shrimp deal.
