Shawna Hawk D.D. S.

Business Owner

Dr. Shawna Hawk has been a practicing dentist for 25 years in the D.C. metropolitan area. She began her dental career as a Registered Dental Hygienist, after receiving her undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Hygiene. After deciding that she wanted to further her career as a dentist, she obtained her doctorate from Georgetown’s School of Dentistry in 1990.

Dr. Hawk is a current member of the American Dental Association and D.C. Dental Society. She previously attended the Dawson Academy and is a current member of Spear Study Club, where she invests time in keeping abreast of continuing education topics. We are also proud to announce that Dr. Hawk was rated as one of Washington D.C.‘s top dentists in the 2015 Washington Consumers’ Checkbook.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Hawk’s for a number of years and feel so fortunate to have found her. While I am lucky to have good overall dental health, things happen… old fillings break, crowns must be administered, and the occasional anomaly must be diagnosed and addressed. Dr. Hawk is a sensitive and patient professional, and she is an artist when it comes to shaping, fitting and color-​matching crowns. Dr. Hawk’s professional team is first rate. The hygienists are skillful, gentle and very kind. The office manager is friendly and highly efficient. As someone who used to dread going to the dentist, I now look forward to seeing everyone and knowing that I will be very well treated.

If you are afraid of dentists, then this is the place to go! SHe is very patient. Excellent cleanings and picked up a cavity that my regular dentist did not!
