This place has fantastic guacamole and homemade fresh salsa. Absolutely delicious. And the pupusas were great, too. However the atmosphere is not super welcoming(the place is almost always empty and sometimes it’s like the servers aren’t sure why you are there). And the drinks(aside from the beer) are all $ 10…shots, cocktails, everything… and that can definitely add up. We’ll keep coming because generally we’ve not been disappointed by the food, but there are better places in Petworth/Columbia Heights.

Mediocre chicken enchiladas but the rice and beans lacked flavor. One thing: I believe it’s generally bad policy to comment on the outfits of servers, but I can’t keep quiet about what I saw tonight. One of the servers had not only some serious whale tail, but was also wearing skin-tight white pants and I could see this person’s festive, printed underwear through their pants. Fabulous.

The pupusas were good and so was the karaōke singer. Seriously sounded like Vicente Fernandez. Happy hour beer buckets were a pretty decent deal. $ 10 Jameson shots… not so much. Drink beers during HH, and duck out before it is over or pay ridic prices for bottom/middle shelf liquor. Ambiance was sketch, a cop in uniform kept coming into the place every 15 minutes and scoping out the spot. The signs at the door asking you to empty out your pockets on the way in is not very welcoming. Highly doubt I will return/endorse this establishment again.
