Fast food FAIL! Hey, I love to see people working and the folks here work as hard as anyone I’ve seen. Hats off. But, the manager, a fellow by the name of Handar I think, clearly in over his head. In need of emergency rations and with nothing else open, I waited for 20 minutes with 20 others while Handar and his two employees flailed about. People griped about waiting a half hour for food. Fast food FAIL!

Came in the morning before all of the tourists have woken up. Staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. My food was out quickly and it was good. They have tried to spruce up the store with framed photos of the DC area and I appreciated the effort; Most McDonald’s don’t even try

It’s an old tiny storefront location. They have Wi-Fi, but without comfortable seats or outlets, I don’t see this becoming a popular«McCafé.» It was fine for our purposes though. Apparently, it’s one of the few places downtown that you can get an ice cream cone after 10. We bought a sundae and a vanilla cone and the total was only about two bucks. Now I remember why McDonald’s is so popular.

It’s a McDonalds, that’s about the most positive thing I can say for the place. The food is edible. And there is wifi Thus ends the positive. Negative: Unable to understand the staff through broken English, contributing to the fact that it took 3 attempts to correctly make my food order, and twice to get the right fountain drink. Higher priced than most mcdonalds, probably due to location. I know if you’re running into a mcdonalds, there’s probably a reason. But please, spend a few bucks more, or take a few more minutes and go to a different one, or a different place. This is literally the worst mcdonalds I have ever been to.

Good McDonald’s. The restaurant is many times busy. Food is pretty good. The dining area is usually crowded during lunch and early dinner hours on weekdays. Staff is usually friendly and willing to assist.

I’m not a big McDonald’s fan, but there are late nights when all you want is to throw back a couple of items off the dollar menu. Two such nights have lead me over to here and both times I’ve been relatively surprised. Reviews here on Unilocal and elsewhere suggest this is not the place you want to be eating, but I disagree. The staff was helpful, efficient, and despite it being fast food, I thought everything came out hot and as good as any other McDonald’s.

Just your average McDonald’s located pretty close to the White House. I’m guessing President Clinton got his Big Macs here. It was conveniently located near my hotel. Inside looked pretty clean. I took my order to go. My order came out pretty quickly.

This used to be my favorite McDonald’s. Its the one where Clinton used to sneak Big Macs to clog his arteries. It’s proximity to work was great as was the cleanliness of the place. That was a few years ago. My observations last night paint a whole new picture. There are far more bums inside and out, many of whom were hostile and unstable. The restaurant was dirty and I had to go through a few tables to find one with no spilled ketchup or soda on the chairs or table. The condiments are behind lock and key as are the napkins. You are given two napkins regardless of your order’s size. Eat neatly is the subliminal message. Extra condiments cost a dime. The dollar menu is a memory and only the pies are a buck or less. The staff is still friendly but the place has really deteriorated. Even the time it takes for orders to be prepared has noticeably worsened. What’s happened here, new management?

I visited this McDonald’s because it was across the street from our hotel. The place was mostly empty at the time that I went because it was just after the morning rush hour. There was one person ahead of me and I was able to get my breakfast order placed and fulfilled quickly. It seemed pretty much like all the other McDonald’s I’ve visited so far.

I’ve been to a lot of McDonald’s restaurants in and out of the city. I know that I’m going to get really cheap food and I’m not expecting things to be super clean. I won’t even be offended by people sleeping or maybe being a bit obnoxious with kids. It’s McDonald’s. This one though is probably the worst I’ve been to. It seemed utterly chaotic, noisy, and somewhat unsafe despite being smack in the middle of 17th street. I threw away a good portion of my food just to get out of there as quickly as possible and swore I’d never go back.

I’ve been to a lot of McDonald’s locations, probably dozens if not a hundred, and this is seriously the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. The workers were exceptionally rude and berated two customers while I waited 12 minutes for my basic coffee(my friend ended up waiting 14 minutes for his). The hot chocolate machine was down for maintenance, which is fine, but because of this and the requests from three separate customers during that timespan for hot chocolate(none of them knowing that the machine wasn’t working when they ordered), the cashier became aggravated and asked the manager to close the store. At around 10:40, nearly an hour before the restaurant’s scheduled 11:30 closing, the manager ordered another employee to close and lock the exterior doors and that employee turned away a young customer who desperately needed to use the bathroom at an hour when no other nearby businesses were open. Only after those of us who were already in the store vocally complained on that poor girl’s behalf for a few minutes did the manager reluctantly let her use the bathroom. At 10:54, the disgruntled cashier demanded that everyone leave the restaurant and told the twenty-or-so seated customers they were closing immediately. We had been sitting down for no more than 10 minutes when we were rudely kicked out into the cold after our peaceful group of 10 had spent about $ 50. I will never visit this McDonald’s again, and I’m absolutely outraged at the level of customer service that was rendered. I’ve never had an experience this bad at a McDonald’s before, and I strongly recommend going somewhere else, especially since there are plenty of other fast food restaurants in the area.
