Another Air and Space Museum, and another disappointing McDonald’s experience. Having seen meals from the other options walk away from the counter, the McDonald’s appeared to be the best choice. We ordered two Big Mac meals due to the dearth of healthy options offered. Although we had to wait for our burgers for a while, the fries were already waiting for us, all boxed up and ready to go. Apparently, the French fries couldn’t decide if they wanted to be mushy or extra crispy, but none of them happened to be warm and fluffy. I couldn’t figure out why I had to wait for the burger, seeing as everything must have been cooked awhile ago; it was uniformly room-temperature throughout. The dining room also must house the air conditioners for the entire Smithsonian, seeing as I could barely hear myself think due to the fan noise, and I had to raise my voice just for my compatriots to hear me. Furthermore, we had the privilege of wiping our own table down, even though there were two crewmembers that were sweeping the floors underneath us, occasionally poking us with their brooms. While it was nice to sit down after tramping about the National Mall, the opportunity to sit a spell is about the only good thing that came out of this experience.

Very rarely do I post a one star review, let alone shortly after I eat it… BUT this is a Major exception. We got to the air and space museum cam out a few minutes before 5 and decided to grab a snack from here. At 4:55 all of the grills, fryers and warmers were cleaned and turned off. The mentioned that they were not serving burgers. So ok I ordered a 10 piece nugget combo. I grabbed my drink and went to pick up my food. the nuggets were in the queuing tray(no prob) and then he reached in a crumbled bag in the warmer and grabbed a box of pre boxed fries. Oh hell no! It was probably one of the workers personal take home stash… I tasted a fry and they were cold… Ice cold. I asked why they were serving me old fries and asked for a new set. He tried to convince me that they were fresh so I told him to try them. He refused… What does that tell you?. They said everything was off and they weren’t going to make anymore. I complained to the manager and she offered me a refund or another drink I was a McSlave for the majority if my high school years so I know quote a bit about how the company works… We never closed the fryers down until we hit closing time not early. This is NOT how you do business… You keep serving until you hit closing… Serving old food was an extreme nono! Not the business…

It’s too expensive and also there are limited choices for every meal. There’s no seating as well. It’s very convenient but if you have time(and energy) go to elsewhere to eat.

Absolute worst McDonald’s I have ever been to… The workers didn’t know what they were doing and gave major attitude while trying to figure out our order. Food was cold and stale… Would not advise anyone to ever eat here ever.

The food itself wasn’t so bad; however, it was a tourist trap. For lunch(and breakfast), there are only 3 choices, all of which are overpriced, so be sure to look at the menu before going!

It’s a tourist trap! It’s in a convenient location but ridiculously overpriced for a McDonalds. Sadly you don’t have many options if you’re visiting DC on a weekday(there are food trucks on the weekend). I’d pick this over spongy hot dogs any day. The options are limited to a quarter pounder, double quarter pounder, and chicken nuggets for lunch. No dollar menu sadly. One plus is that their drinks come bottled so it’s easier to save for later.
