Ordered from here once a week when I lived up the street. I miss it! When you want good, greasy, Americanized Chinese food, this place scratches the itch in the best way. Love the egg rolls.

Took the advice of others and picked up my order. The food was good for fast Chinese food. The veggie egg rolls are good. And they got my order right.

Find that I order from here about once every two weeks or so.(And maybe more). The young lady answering the phone now knows that deliveries to me are to come via the side door. Like that they remember their customers! Might update this to five stars next week! Rinky-dink neighborhood carry-out with fan-tab-u-lous food. Delivery, however is slow; plan on an hour’s wait. The food when it finally arrives, is well worth the wait. Prices are a bit higher than other carry outs in the area, but the far superior food equals it all out. Recommend

The cashier mistakenly give me the incorrect order. Once I returned home to discover that the order was incorrect, I contact the restaurant, The cashier who took the order was very rude. Not form of customer service. She insisted she was correct. Patronize restaurants that will accept a mistake. I will know longer patronize that restaurant.

I will start off by saying this is the first and only time I have felt like I should negatively review an establishment. This was the worst customer service I have ever received in my whole life. I have ordered from here a couple times. The deli every has never been fast, however, but when I have called to find out how long the food will take to arrive they have usually told me the driver has left. Last night, I placed an order at 7:28PM. I gave them an hour before I decided to check on the status. The woman who answered the phone, 1) did not even bother to apologize, 2) told me that it was Friday and they were busy, and 3) that the food had not even left. She refused to even tell me when to expect my food. I decided to call back 5 minutes later because we just didn’t want to wait any longer. She yells at me and says that it is Friday and it is busy. ??? Why is their mismanagement my problem? Anyway, I told her I wanted to cancel my order. She refuses to do so, because the food is ready and the driver will deliver it. THEN she hangs the phone up on me. I called back again and no surprise– with caller ID. she picks up the phone and hangs up. My boyfriend then calls on his phone, and tells her that we want to cancel the order and to have the credit card credited. She once again hangs up. At this point, we decided to drive over so that we could get our credit back since they refused to speak to us over the phone(and why would we want food that has been ready and waiting for an hour and still hasn’t left the store). When we arrived, her husband proceeds to tell us that we cannot get our credit back and that it is a Friday night and it is busy. As I am writing this I still can’t believe how unreasonable that these people were being. The wife comes out of the kitchen to yell at us too… because apparently we are crazy for wanting our money back. Both the husband and wife leave us at the counter with their elementary age daughter– who by the way was actually trying to help us. Oh and they also wanted to call the police because we were standing in front of the counter too long and it looked bad to people on the outside… I don’t know who would ever tolerate being spoken to this way– much less as a paying customer! Through this whole ordeal all we wanted was a credit for food we did not get in a satisfactory or acceptable amount of time. I am not an unreasonable person. I work in customer service myself. If a customer is unhappy, so unhappy that they leave their house to remedy a problem because they will do nothing over the phone, there is a serious problem. These people are terrible business owners who do not«deserve» to be busy on a Friday night. Two hours later, we had our credit from not getting what we paid for. Do not give these people your hard earned money, because they do not appreciate their customers.

We received a menu from Lucky Ginger indicating that they are«under new management», so despite a previous bad experience we decided to give them another shot. We were pleasantly surprised! The General Tso was not overly breaded or cloyingly sweet, and had a very nice flavor. The egg roll and soup noodles were light and not at all greasy. The fried rice and hot and sour soup each had nice balanced flavor and fresh vegetables. My only complaint is that the noodles in the wonton soup are very dense, I prefer a thinner wrapping. In another order, we tried the steamed shrimp and vegetables, steamed dumplings and lo mein. Again, the vegetables were fresh, and nothing was too greasy. We’ve ordered a few more times since then, and each time has been consistently good. While there really aren’t any menu items I would consider unique or different than the usual, they do offer better quality than most of the other Chinese delivery options we have, and we have not had to wait more than 45 minutes for any of our orders to arrive at our door.

I get chinese maybe once every few months but since moving to Silver Spring I always go here. I always do pick up and can literally call and leave my house and by the time I get there the food is done. The lady in the front is SUPER nice and I have never had anything messed up with my order.

We took our chances and lost. I drafted this review a full SEVENTYMINUTES after placing the order by phone, so you already know the story here. Take heed of this and the other reviews here. Your food will take a very, very, VERY long time. When I called in our order, I asked for an approximate delivery time. I should have known right when the response went from 15 to 45 minutes with a sort of long hesitation. I mean, just tell me 45 minutes if it’s busy. Show some damn confidence! Manage your business! Do NOT start our business relationship with a LIE! When I checked in after an hour, they assured me the food would arrive«very soon» but would not respond with even an approximate time when I repeatedly asked«WHATTIME will the food be here»(LIKETHAT). Then I hung up the phone and drafted this review. I’m now very glad I can’t tell you how the food was. About 20 minutes after that call, we decided it might be best to cancel the order and go get some good old late night Mickey D’s. What was even more ridiculous and insulting, was the the lady hung up on me as I called and suggested I might cancel, so they really canceled the order for us! I just wish I had take heed of the other reviews, so let me be clear… DONOTPLACEANORDERHEREINTHEDINNERHOUR. YOUCOULDENDUPWAITINGALLNIGHTFORNOTHING.

Since my roommate was the one who ordered her food from«Lucky» Ginger later on a Sunday night but is too nice to give these people a bad review, I’m filling in for the good of society. While she says her food tastes ok, we waited for its arrival for an hour and a half. An hour and a half! C’mon Lucky Ginger, give us a break, we live not two miles away! Maybe the delivery man was on a unicycle instead of in a car.

what!!! I love this place. i am a regular here and I don’t even like Chinese Food!!! The food is tasty, the meat is good(and I am very picky) and the prices are the best. I usually order for the office, but if I order just for myself I just get two lunch meals and eat the other one the next day. Most meals are around 5 bucks… they deliver for a $ 10 min, and they even brought me food in the middle of the crazy snow storm of 2010!

My roomates and I gave finally gave up on Lucky Ginger after 3 tries. The food tastes like soap and it’s always undercooked. Bad little take out joint near Walter Reed.
