Watered down over priced drinks and they charge you 30% tip automatically to your tab even if you order only one drink. If you come here your going to need at least 10 drinks if you plan to be drunk when you leave.(Only been here once and it was at night time) never attended the restaurant and never had the food.

The nightclub experience here starts off great. Not too much nonsense at the door. No fashion-less dress code rules. Just look nice. The place is dope & bathrooms are clean. THEBADPARTIS the drinks. There is no reason for your basic whiskey & soda to cost $ 12 – 20. Horrible bar prices period.

Look lounge has had its ups and downs with staffing, promotions teams and security but all in all it is a nice place to go to. Depending on what you expect will determine the outcome you experience. In life I’ve learned to never judge a book by its cover before reading the contents, and never judge a club by its reviews without first visiting. Every club has its flaws just as every critical comment hurts the possibility of growth and change for any club. More than most times the first experience with clubs will often be confusing and even disheartening but this is where changing a few things through comment advice can/will help the overall success of any club. Take the time out to suggest or even give advice through this free venue of opinion to clubs owners, managers, staff, security and parking attendants and watch how things take a turn to benefit the writter. Because believe me when i tell you«no one«wants to be without a job and to everyone involved, being employed is more important than being an ass.

I’ve visited Look for lunch, a party and dinner. Lunch: Carry out was simple and my food served was well packaged and delish. Party: The space was open and pretty with the dim lights. Nice intimate stage for the band. Due to a server’s rudeness and profiling/discrimination, dismissing my guests from my table service(she didn’t believe we had table service), we were compensated with an upgrade. Everything was fabulous from there on out. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and didn’t think about the earlier mishap. Dinner: I attended a dinner event with Kitchen Kray. I appreciated the service by Look staff in being attentive when Kitchen Kray’s service was overwhelmed. However, there were 2 – 3 other separate events going on at the same time. It was a hodgepodge of group dining experiences. It gave me mixed feelings because it wasn’t easy to talk to the person I was dining with, I was paying attention to the guy on the mic behind us at their happy hour event. Then I was totally distracted by the noisy event going on on the other side of the restaurant which was partitioned off by only a sheer curtain. This is a supper club, so I expected a better dining experience. While I’m left with 3 stars on my palette,.(What kind of party experience would I have had without the upgrade? A supper club doing dining all wrong?) I’ll give it 4 stars because I had more positive experiences than negative. I’ll update as needed.

Who was this bow tie bandit who had the woman going wild? I was invited to not knowing what I was up against. I waited for my escort to arrive but did my reviews before coming and the reviews said beware. Upon entering I was pat down as if I were going to serve years in prison by a a brown eyed mall cop. My instinct said leave immediately this is not the place for you. So I left as I was walking my escort called and inquired about my ware about and encouraged me not to leave so I didn’t. Upon entering I noticed the young lady’s dancing amongst themselves touching and groping. So I asked one of the young lady’s who in return made it clear that before we could exchange info I would have to buy her a drink because the prices were to high. I looked at her and said to myself are you old enough to drink. She mention that the young men were not mature enough they had a tendency of being physical aggressive by touching without invitation. As the evening got later I noticed the slightly older crowd leaving and those who were still there become inebriated. Then without notice, the club turned into a gladiator pit. Fight started to pop up instantaneously. This was probably the results of a young frustrated crowd, not knowing how to hold their liquor. So I decided that I would leave. When I got outside there was a young lady who had got Put out of the club scrawling on the ground as if she had received some bad news. It was later revealed that some young man wearing a bow tie had instigated her heartbreak over another woman. This is not the club for mature adults. See more click the youtube link.

I have only been here for the club events/time frame. It is important to note that I have been here more than once and with multiple and varied groups of people so I gave the club a fair shot. Here are my issues with the club: — The drinks are WAY too expensive for the size. They serve them in these small martini shaped(minus the stem) plastic glasses. — The DJ skips around songs too much. You know your favorite part of the song? Yeah, you probably won’t hear it. Just throws off the vibe. — I am not a fan of the way the club is laid out. It is basically a large, open space. There are VIP sections on the floor mostly along the walls and a couple in the middle roped off. The largest VIP section that is really separate is in the back. It feels weird because the large space makes it feel empty and the«true» VIP section feels extremely isolated. Here is what I like about it: — Nice décor… clean and upscale design. — Plenty of space… you don’t have to worry about being packed like a sardine here. But, like I said above… it can feel a little empty. — The promoter groups who throw parties at this club also do a lot of other really good parties in the city so there is definitely potential for the club to get better and I hope it does! Could be a great spot if they fix some things. Of course, its DC nightlife so some of the things I don’t like might be fine for you. Just not my favorite spot to go clubbing in the city.

Went there for lunch. The servers were poorly trained, the scallops were chewy and, to top it off, they included a 20% tip in the bill. My prediction: This place will not last, there are too many places with good food in DC!

Don’t be fooled with the fancy décor and prestigious venue of K Street! The«Look Restaurant» serves average food priced with a 20% «premium serving» fee to those few customers(like me) who are unaware of their pricing practices. Knowledge is power! If you still care to visit the«Look Restaurant» premises make sure you ask in advance about any fees in advance.

This was my first time at Look Lounge. I came here for Afropolitan. It my friends birthday celebration so he had a table in VIP. I got there pretty early because this party is known to be packed. At first glance as I entered the ambiance looked nice. My main experience was in the VIP section. At the time they had about 5VIP sections going with one bartender. It took fooorrrever to get food. I think my friend the Birthday man got there early(6pm) and he probably didn’t get bottle service until about 9 pm. It was hard to figure out who was serving who. we saw folks get served before us when we were the first ones in the section. This defeats the purpose of VIP. Other then being separated from the gen pop… it didn’t feel like it should. They should have had at lease 3 servers in there… the one woman serving us looked over overwhelmed. I was a bit surprised… a place of this caliber not having top shelf VIP service to remain the place to return too. I personally would probably never get a table here. I rather just struggle in gen pop. Also their drinks are waaaay overpriced. They also have a $ 25 min requirement before you can even step to that bar… that’s ridiculous. There are many places in DC… to be dealing with that. The only good thing was that thier happy hour food menu was reasonable… don’t really remember caring too much about the food… I order the quesadillas… was ok I guess… when your hungry and waiting for ever anything tastes good. My advice a simple atentiveness to those who come to spend money and expect good service at your establishment would go a looooong way… trust…its the simple things. Oh and for all that money that’s charged. surely more employees can be hired to meet the demand of such a large group.

I Attended the Afropolitan party there and had a great time. The Only downside was the security staff at the end of the night. I was waiting for a friend at the bar and texting another to coordinate our next steps, before stepping outside into the cold. 1 of the security guards singled me out, mind you, there was an entire line of people 40+ waiting to get their coats! He told me he had to clear the bar area. Fine, I told him I would move momentarily. Then he started getting more aggressive saying he didn’t see me moving, why was I still there. I said sir, I will head towards the door in less then 5 min, why don’t you focus on those who are still at the bar, or realize that regardless people are still inside waiting for their coats. He finally left me alone, but not before informing his coworker of the situation and he proceeded with the same litany, Then they involved their female team member. I found them to be super aggressive, unapologetic, and simply concerned about doing their job. They lacked empathy and it left me with a bad taste of the overall venue. If I do return I hope I’m not met with their hostility. Just because you’re on a security roster it doesn’t mean you have to be aggressive towards your patrons or abuse them verbally, regardless of your poor attempt to disguise it with politeness. Never again. Other cons: Women’s bathroom ran out of paper towels… consider hiring an attendant or restocking items throughout the night as necessary Food and drink menu overpriced

Went there for a friend’s birthday last night. The lines were ridiculously long and moved super slow. There was no organization to differentiate between those who had tables, «cut lines», general admission or guest list. The person in charge of the guest list was rude and failed to admit those who waited in the line but assisted those who cut in the line. People in line were drinking… had open bottles, some people were even smoking marijuana and was described as «such RATCHETNESS». I will NEVER step foot in this establishment again.

Every time I walk by, I seriously wonder how Look stays in business. It is always dead and the service is subpar(how can it take 20min to bring a check when you’re not serving anyone else??). Can’t wait to see how long they’ll last before they close or do another remodel. With so many options in the Farragut area, don’t waste your time here…

Literally the worst club experience Ive ever had. This past weekend I went for a Howard vs. NC A&T after party. We got their fairly early around 10:30 since the tickets suggested arriving early. No line, showed our tickets went inside. The inside is nice, the bathrooms are nice and thats about it. We went to the bar and the bartender informed us that their was a $ 25 minimum credit card charge so we ordered a cranberry and vodka and a patron margarita. These are fairly easy drinks to make so you wonder how someone can mess them up when making them. Well our bartender did! The drinks werent properly mixed, the alcohol tasted extremely cheap and for the price we paid for them they should have been better! Our bar tender was extremely rude and gave so much attitude then on top of that when we went to pay for our tab their was already gratuity added!!! Our bartender was terrible she didnt deserve a penny. As we waited for more people to come a few people trickled in and literally everyone was just standing around on their phones looking lost. Two bouncers(a fat one and a tall bald headed one) was walking around talking to women. After staying around for an hour and half we decided to leave. When we walked out the door they informed us if we left we couldnt get back in. We said thank you thats fine and went on our way. Our other friends arrived just after we left and and we talked to them through the door since we knew we couldnt go back inside. The fat bouncer was just being rude and we informed him we understood the rules that we couldnt get back inside. Then the bald bouncer came from inside to outside being completely disrespectful saying«they walked outta here with an attitude! They didnt deserve to be in here anyways! They are bad seeds». Again Im standing their looking shocked because we did absolutely nothing wrong to be insulted like this. Ok we left the dry club, WHOCARES! Either way the club got their money! Ive been partying for many years and Ive never been so insulted in my life and I plan on filling a complaint against these bouncer. I wouldnt recommend this club to my worst enemy. Look Lounge is just that, a good look. Everything else including the people are trash.

I came here with a friend for lunch. They have standard fare — salmon, steak, etc. — and although it was nicely prepared it wasn’t anything that stood out. What shocked us, though, was when they added a mandatory $ 11 service charge on top of our $ 55 meal. When we asked our waiter he gave some bogus explanation about the computers being set up for evening drink service, but he wouldn’t remove it. Certainly left an unpleasant aftertaste in our dining experience, and it explains why hardly anyone else was there for lunch.
