I went there to get my nails done for new years was my first time it wasn’t Georgetown and I was excited I thought it be a very nice salon was the worst experience of my life Jennifer was the lady who did my nails almost to she said that she had been working there for seven years but as you can see the pictures the five-​year-​old would have done the better job disappointed if it would be lower than one star would give that never go there terrible terrible place

Nathan has been doing my hair for years and I always love the magic that he does to it every time! I’ve always been very picky and protective about who I can trust to cut my hair, so believe me when I say that I’ve been driving over an hour (I live in Baltimore) to get my hair done by him!
This salon is excellent for other services as well. I’ve also gotten my manicure/​pedicure and eyebrow waxing done. The staff is very professional, friendly, and welcoming!

First time waxing ever.
Had a little trouble communicating becasue I don’t speak vietnamese.
Waited a little while, but I made a last minute appointment.
Service was fast, and the vietnamese lady calmed me when I flinched from the pain.
I don’t know enough about waxing to know if it was really good or anything, but it seemed at least decent.

Lovely pedicures with a fantastic exfoliation and full calf and foot massage. My nails are always perfect leaving this salon and they stay perfect for multiple weeks! Just the right amount of callous was taken off and my feet aren’t so embarrassing in sandals anymore, definitely one of my favorite places for a pedicure!

I went in for a bikini wax. I walked out with a BRAZILIAN and an eyebrow wax. So why four stars? Well, Heidi messed up, but she owned up to it, and honestly, really did a great job. I mean, if I’d gone in for a Brazilian, I would have been beyond satisfied. She only charged me for a bikini wax and her prices are pretty reasonable to begin with (not cheap, but reasonable for sure). I’ll be back, and I’ll enunciate better next time :)

Nathan has been my hair stylist for two years now. Every month we try something new and he never disappoints! I highly recommend him!
Sometimes you can give him photos of what you might like and sometimes he can whip something up for you.

Just got a great mani pedi. It’s not the fanciest of places, but I feel I got quality service. My mani included buffed nails vs polish — sometimes I feel other places skimp on doing a quality job for the buff, but I’m really happy. My pedi is good too.
Price are on par with the area… I think I paid 50 for a mani pedi.
I would highly recommend trying this place — btw, it’s much better than the place by safeway.

Exceptional service under the new management. It’s like day and night! It’s a very cozy place to relax and get pampered.
The staff is very friendly and exceptionally good at doing nails. They have good number of work stations, you don’t feel like you’re under the spot light neither someone random in a big crowd.
They’re going to be big, I can tell. Good job guys, keep it up!

the pedicure was decent. selection of colors was good. $ 35
Shellac — was awful! they were kind to do it at the same time as my pedicure. but its sloppy. all the way tto my cuticles. with poor shaping of my nails — and BAD COLORS for shellac. $ 45.

I had never been here before, but walked in after reading Unilocal reviews. Must say it was very quiet, I was the third person in there, I asked for a mani-​pedi and was quickly placed in a nice comfy massage chair. The pedicure was great including the razor to remove calluses. However the paraffin wax was quite a surprise… A nice scalding one at that. I was in shock with how hot it was and when she asked me to dip two more times I winced in pain. I think I am pretty tolerant of these things too. When it came time to paint my nails it was done sloppily before I could even blink, thank goodness I brought my own color as I had to do touchups once I got home. I had asked the manicurist to do it, but she said she saw no mistakes?!
Then for the manicure, same surprise with the paraffin wax, had to put my hands in the same crockpot of a wax warmer as I had placed my feet– yuck! The manicure was of the same quality as the pedicure, should of asked for a third coat as it was painted so thinly. It chipped within hours of leaving. I was rushed out of the salon with no other customers in sight.
I won’t be returning as I’d rather spend my $ 50.00 elsewhere.

They do a good job on pedicures. But they don’t take appointments seriously. When you ask for one it does not sound like they even write your name down. Then you get there and they have taken so many walk ins that they can’t do your appointment, or you have to wait an hour or longer. And there is nowhere to wait or sit.
When they are not busy they are good. Just don’t count on making a real appointment.

My girlfriend and I wanted to catch up and get manis and pedis one night after work and I called Harmony to see if they would still be open at 7:15. From the chatter in the background after I asked, it was obvious that they were planning on closing, but they agreed and took both of us, even though we ended up not getting there until 7:20. The ladies completely pampered us and we didn’t feel rushed at all while we caught up and got our nails done. The customer service we experienced and the beautiful nails we walked out with prompted me to post my first Unilocal review! Thanks Harmony!

This is the greatest salon ever! The massages were great and the people who work there were very nice. The price was exceptional but it was worth it. I recommend this salon to everyone if you come to Georgetown. I will definitely be back!

This is a great nail salon. I go all the time with my family and they know us all and the women that work there are very nice.
It is a little expensive for a nail salon, but it is a day spa so you have to expect it. However, besides the price it is worth it, especially the extra massage.

thanks for recommending Hannah S. I just went and got a mani pedi and 15 min massage and it was so worth it– what a great massage! I came out of there refreshed and renewed. They have the whole line of OPI (all colors) — I got turquoise –and give you free paraffin on hand and feet– a real treat.

New Year’s Day, two other places were closed, so we popped in here. I think because it was a holiday or something they threw in the paraffin treatment for us both, which was divine… not too hot at all. I sat down for the manicure and glanced at the feet of a very pregnant lady in a pedicure chair. They looked great and she was happy. My manicure was done beautifully. I easily folded when offered a 15 minute back massage for $ 20, ‘cuz when was the last time I had a back massage? … and it felt more like 30 – 45 minutes although my friend said it was more like 15. I lost track of time… It wasn’t a particularly strong massage, but it was nice…
The only surprise was when she lifted the back of my shirt and undid my bra (this I’ve never experienced in a chair massage, but I went with it, cuz like I said… when was the last time? Plus my friend was right there… anyway… we won’t discuss the visions of Emmanuelle movies of my youth that I tried desperately to repress…) She used some moisturizer or something and gave me a full back massage, with scalp massage, and a bit of a face massage. At no point did the massage become inappropriate. When done, she redid my bra and pulled my shirt back down.
When we were all done, she helped us pull our sleeves down, put our coats and scarves on, and zip up. When do you get that kind of service?

On a whim, dear friend and I decide to get a little treatment — her a pedi and myself a mani. I never got my mani.
We go in and tell the person at the front this is what we wanted and she pointed to the polish selection in the back. We pick out our colors and since all the staff were busy, we sat down until our turn came. They never told us how long the wait was, so we assumed ten minutes or less. We were wrong.
15 minutes go by. 30 minutes go by. Friend is put in a pedi chair and I sit. And sit. And sit.
They had about 3 – 4 staff working on about 6 pedis. There was 1 staff member doing manis simultaneously on 2 girls who were friends. By the time my friends top coat of polish was being put on her toes well over one hour after we had arrived, I am then told that I can go sit down. I politely said I was no longer interested (as it was merely a whim decision to go here and I didn’t want my friend to have to sit and wait while I was getting a mani). One staff member attempted to be accommodating by asking if I wanted a «quick mani while your friend’s polish dries». I don’t know what the heck a quick mani is or how much that would cost so I declined. That offer is the saving grace that brings this review to two stars.
My friend was pretty disappointed in her pedi as well — and although I will give her the opportunity to Unilocal about it herself, I just want everyone to know that the parafin wax is still piping hot.

I have mixed feelings about my experience at Harmony Day Spa. 2 stars seems harsh but 3 stars seems «too much.»
A friend and I walked in for a manicure and pedicure without knowing what each entailed at Harmony.
The Good: They were elaborate to say the least (the combo lasted well over an hour), the seats were really nice, and the prices were okay for all that attention ($ 50 for the combo)
The Eh: Having other pedicures going at the same time allowed me to see that my pedicurist skimped on certain steps.
The Bad: Their parrafin wax was literally burning hot. When my friend got to that point and was letting out little Unilocal her manicurist kept forcing her hand in. When I reached that point the same happened to me, despite our protests. They seemed unwilling to believe that their wax could possibly be that hot (and I am no wimpy handed girl). My fingertips are now burnt because of it.
The Ugly: Grosser was that the other pedicurist was letting skin scraps fly all over the place on another pedicure, yet I was powerless to move my shoes out of the stranger’s line of skin fire.
So after all that it seems weird to have mixed feelings. Yet they still did a good job somehow… hmm… TWO.

Great experience here;service was amazing and my pedicure was so relaxing. I am not sure if it is because I came here early, but my pedicure took a little over an hour and it was definitely worth it. For $ 35 you get the paraffin dip, sea salt scrub, and leg/​foot massage. I can’t get over how cheap it is! I liked it so much I went ahead and booked another one with a full body massage. If you are in the area, I highly recommend checking Harmony out.

Whee! I just got one of the best pedicures of my life.
I wandered in without an appointment about 15 minutes before closing and they still took me immediately. They were professional and fast and did a beautiful job, but the real surprise was the paraffin dip. At no. extra. charge. (Excuse me for my incredulity; I’m from NY and you would Never find this there.) Couple this with a lovely leg and foot massage, and you’d better believe that I’ll be going back. Oh, did I mention that this cost $ 35? Oh Harmony, how I love thee.
