Before joining Ben & Jerry’s, she was a corporate /​convention sales director at the Waldorf Astoria in NYC. She and her family live in DC, and she is involved in all aspects of the business.

Well, for me it is too pricey for what it is. I though it would be better than baskin robins or haggendaz but it is not… the quality of the ice cream is good but nothinNothing out of this worlds and the so called «waffle cones» have nothing special to them as they advertise them to be so fantastic. Another tourist trap like the big lie of «georgetown» which is like new jersey but with tourist…

This place never let’s me down! I can always rely on a freshly made waffle cone and decadent scoop of chocolate fudge brownie to save the day.

I visited the Old Post Office Pavilion Ben & Jerry’s location and I was really looking forward to treating myself to some quality ice cream with my Google Offer. When I arrived I stood for quite awhile at the counter until anyone emerged from the back to assist. When they did, I presented my Google Offer and before I could order, the employee responded simply with a monotone, «We don’t take these.» Confused, I asked why, as the instructions clearly said it was within the proper date-​range and location. She claimed she didn’t know and went to find another employee from the back. This employee was just as unhelpful and also repeated «we don’t take these.» I asked why not when the coupon said otherwise, and what I should do to redeem it. This was followed by blank stares, and finally one said the manager told them they were out of punch cards and I could apparently go elsewhere. However, I’d purchased the Offer with that location in mind as it is near my apartment, and none of the other locations are really accessible. If the coupons are no longer being accepted, it would have been of proper etiquette to at least put a sign up, or notify Google so they can notify patrons who had purchased the deal.
While I am having a hard time understanding why I was denied the ice cream that I had rightfully purchased via coupon, I am trying to give the benefit of the doubt and realize that there may be misunderstandings. However, what was most deplorable in this situation was that neither of these two employees offered any kind of useful advice, apology, or even a smile, and acted like I was just interrupting them from their party in the back of the ice cream shop. A pleasant smile with a valid explanation, or a pleasant smile with an apology that they can’t accept it, would have gone a long way, but instead these two employees were downright rude, unhelpful, and unpleasant. You can’t put a price on customer service and while I find the Ben & Jerry’s brand tasty, I will be making no effort to return to any establishments if that is the type of customer service I can expect to receive.

I wish I could give zero stars for the worst service ever. An earlier reviewer said that we should get over it because it is Ben and Jerry’s and we shouldn’t expect good service and the ice cream is worth it. The ice cream is barely worth it with service this bad. I will be sure to NEVER visit this location again but I’m still willing to visit a different Ben and Jerry’s because the ice cream is so good!
This place needs the corporate folks to come in and take over or fire the staff and hire a new one that is well trained because the staff here are so rude that they give Ben and Jerry’s a bad name. During the last visit, there were three counter workers and other customers in the store. You’d think one of the counter helpers might ask to take an order. You thought wrong. They were too busy flirting with each other and acting childishly. When they finally took the order they were absolutely rude, used language that is not fit for prime time network TV, and managed to ruin the atmosphere of an ice cream store. That is hard to do!!!
I truly help this place will get some new management soon!

It’s a Ben and Jerry’s… They’re ice cream and other treats are fantastic, and I have to say I love this location given that it’s almost never busy. Some people here are complaining about the service… Really??? It’s a Ben and Jerry’s! I’m not sure what you’re expecting! Even with crappy service the food is worth it!

Yay for Free Cone Day!
I look forward to Ben and Jerry’s free cone day each year. This is the perfect opportunity for me to sample a new ice cream flavor without the commitment of buying a whole pint from the grocery store.
There was a long line this afternoon for the free ice cream, but the staff did a great job of serving up the ice cream quickly and keeping the line moving. I ordered the chocolate fudge brownie ice cream, which had a creamy chocolate flavor with tiny brownie chunks and was oh so satisfying!
In addition to the free scoop, I scored some coupons good for two for one sundaes, shakes, or ice cream cones. I’m sure these will come in handy!

Worst service ever. We called to see what time they close, they said «5:30», even though it was really 6:00 that they were supposed to close. We get there at 5:30, and they turn the lights off and refuse us service. After some complaining they finally served us, but made us feel like we did something wrong when all we did was show up before the posted time that they close. Also, this Ben and Jerry’s is more expensive than others and in an awkward location.

Ok, so when you check in on Foursquare at this Ben & Jerry’s there is a special of a large icecream for $ 3. I tried to get this special which I have done at another Ben & Jerry’s music. First of all to get to this location you have to go through a metal detector to get in the Old Post Office Building then descend to the bottom level. I did and approached the Ben & Jerry’s in the food court… first thing I noticed were flies then the rap music coming from the back of the stand… someone came from the back and I told them I wanted to use my FourSquare coupon. He went to the back not knowing what to do and brought out a girl who says there icecream special is only available during happy hour! I showed them my phone displaying the coupon to no avail. I walked away disgruntled with the service and with no ice cream. Will never go to this location again!

Of course I visited my two best friends Ben and Jerry yesterday. It was «Free Cone Day»… After I waited what seemed like forever in a line full of tourons, I got a scoop of my favorite «Cinnamon Bun» in a cone, made the ‘donation’ to the ’cause’ and headed back to the office in relative bliss. This flavor is so good that I will not wait until next year’s free cone day to visit my best friends again.

This is the most random location for a Ben & Jerry’s, I think. It’s sort of a disappointment really because it’s in the middle of nothing as far as my daily routine goes. It’s on the bottom floor of what I think is the old US Postal Service building with a couple other random shops. I’m only complaining because if it were somewhere else it’s likely that I’d make it my second home… Maybe it’s for the better.
